The Space:

Our spacious 2 Bedroom single-story villa has all the comforts of home you will need to enjoy your retreat on Hilton Head Island. The kitchen has been updated with new appliances, cabinetry, and granite countertops and has been stocked with all the cookware & dishware guests will need to enjoy this home away from home. The large granite countertop is perfect for prepping meals or enjoying conversation with family & friends with the counter-height seating.

The living room features a comfortable leather recliner-couch and accent reclining chairs. An electric fireplace is built into the entertainment center for an added feature. Free WiFi throughout the home is included for our guests. There is cable TV in the living room on a LG Smart TV where you can stream your favorite apps, and there is cable TV in the Primary Bedroom, as well. The dining area features seating for 4 with additional seating at the kitchen counter.

The stackable washer & dryer are tucked down the hallway between the bedrooms. The guest bedroom features 2 full-size beds to comfortably sleep 4 with a large closet with built in shelves for storage. The bathroom is assessable from the hallway and features a double vanity and full-size tub/shower. The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed and an ensuite bath with a walk-in shower & pedestal vanity. This bedroom also has a closet and large dresser with a mirror for extra storage. There are additional blankets stored in the bedroom closets as well as a pack 'n play for little ones.

The enclosed balcony off of the living room features outdoor seating for dining and relaxing with a cup of coffee or an evening libation. Enjoy the view overlooking the community pool.

Our villa is the perfect escape for your Hilton Head Island Retreat. Tanglewood Villas is made up of only 60 villas with a community pool & sundeck featuring tables and ample lounge chairs (POOL OPEN April 1st- October 31st from 8am-10pm). There are BBQ gas grills in the pool area for guests to use, as well.

Walk out your front door and you are just steps to the bike path that lead you across the street to Direct Beach Access!
If you are an early-riser you will not want to miss our beautiful sunrises on the beach - grab a coffee and make the quick walk to the beach....you won't be disappointed! You're going to love our place and we can't wait to share it with you!

Beach Essentials: A beach wagon and 4 beach chairs will be stored on the back balcony for our guests to use. We provide 4 beach towels at check in, as well.

If walking or biking isn't for you, our Breeze Trolley is a FREE TROLLEY line that runs around the Coligny area & communities and across part of the island with trolley stops near our villa and online maps (Trolley runs seasonally--visit Breeze Trolley online to see trolley schedules).

Our villa is the perfect distance to the family-fun playground and interactive children's museum at Low Country Celebrations Park, Coligny Plaza, Piggly Wiggly Grocery, and Coligny Beach. Walk over to Forest Beach Surf & Cycle for great bike and surf equipment rentals. You'll have easy storage on the community bike racks for bikes for the whole family.

No Smoking. No Pets. Please enjoy yourself and treat our home like you would treat your own. Do not take furniture out of the villa or move it from one room or floor to another. No trailers, kayaks, or canoes are allowed on the property. Bikes must be secured in the courtyards. Parking passes are required by all vehicles on property.

Guest Access:
Key-less entry door code will be provided prior to check-in time for easy access to the property. The villa has one assigned parking space. There are unmarked parking spaces in the parking lot for a second vehicle. There will be 2 parking passes on the counter at check in. Please display parking passes on your dashboard while parked in Tanglewood Villas. Towing is enforced. The unmarked parking spaces are first-come first-served.

The Neighborhood:
A premier south east barrier island off of the coasts of South Carolina and Georgia. Ride your bike, walk or take the Breeze Trolley to locations from the South End to Mid-island! Enjoy easy days relaxing in the sun, sand and surf on some of the best beaches in the country. Get into the swing of things with 24 world class golf courses and 350 tennis courts, and experience our rich and vibrant history. Outdoor adventure is yours—ride horseback through a forest preserve, bike on the beach and moss-draped trails, kayak in our beautiful waters, go dolphin watching or even zip-line through our beautiful Low Country! Experience and explore all that Hilton Head Island has to offer.

Getting Around:
Amazing walkability! Breeze Shuttle available mid-March thru October to get you to the beach, shopping, restaurants or just to see what's out there!! Public parking available near the beach.
Our island is lined with pedestrian walkways & bike paths, making getting to the beach a breeze.

Other Things to Note:
Bugs
We get asked about Palmetto Bugs all the time. Yes, these are roaches and are found pretty much everywhere outside in South Carolina but we like to call them Palmetto Bugs as it makes them sound nicer! They can be pretty big, can fly and will scurry around the floor but they are largely harmless. They do occasionally come inside, especially at night and during or after any storms. Rest assured all of our homes are professionally treated monthly for pests. Any bugs that manage to get inside will die quickly.

According to Eric Benson, Ph.D. professor and extension entomologist at Clemson University “It has nothing to do with cleanliness or the economic conditions of the area,” said Benson. “They could be around the nicest home or the nicest hotel or resort.”

If you leave the doors or windows open, especially at night, you will likely see a few. This is perfectly normal. If you see 20 or 30 all in one place then please let us know. This might mean we have a nest somewhere in the home and we'll need to get pest control out to take care of it. This is extremely rare!

Please don't worry about bugs, enjoy your vacation. You'll likely not see any while you are here, we just include this note so you understand it's not unusual to see some and it doesn't mean the home isn't well looked after!
