We would like to inform any guests looking to book in June, that all properties in the Heights complex will undergo a window upgrade project during this time. Whilst we expect disturbances to be minimal, we anticipate that there will be some noise from power tools and workers, and may be evidence of the ongoing building work within the neighborhood. We have included a construction discount at the time of booking as compensation for any disturbances. Please review the Things to Know section or ask our Guest Services team for further information

Welcome to Taluswood The Heights 1, where luxury meets adventure in a tranquil mountain setting. This standalone chalet in the Taluswood neighborhood, nestled above Creekside on Whistler Mountain, offers ski access to the iconic Dave Murray Downhill run and provides the perfect playground for skiing, biking, and hiking enthusiasts. Here, you can discover the best of the great outdoors, and experience the perfect blend of convenience and adventure with direct access to mountain activities from your home, including a nearby ski-out trail. Relax on oversized decks with panoramic views of the stunning ski runs, creating an ideal spot for morning coffee or après-ski gatherings. Inside, vaulted ceilings and a wood-burning fireplace set the stage for cozy moments and mountain tales. Retreat to the lower deck's private hot tub, nestled in a lush forest canopy, for a serene escape. Heights 1 offers a combination of luxury, scenery, and recreational convenience for an unparalleled mountain lifestyle.

Designed for downtime and relaxation, the primary bedroom occupies the entire upper floor, creating a lavish retreat with a king bed, a private balcony offering breathtaking views of the ski hill and gondola, and a spacious walk-in wardrobe. On the lower level, guests can enjoy both privacy and comfort with ensuite bedrooms and convenient access to the private balcony with a hot tub.

Ski Access

This home offers winter enthusiasts access to the nearby Dave Murray ski trail and the 2010 Olympic downhill run, which descends to the Creekside Gondola. Please note that the Dave Murray ski-out trail is suitable for an intermediate-level skier and is not well-suited for beginners. The signed entrance to the ski-out is found next to Taluswood the Heights #1. At the end of this trail, you will need to take off your skis/snowboard to cross the road, from where you will continue to ski down the Lower Dave Murray Downhill run to get to the Creekside Gondola. The Ski-Home trail is located off the Lower Dave Murray Downhill run. Watch for the Green Olympic rings on the skier's right when descending Dave Murray, turning right, above the Olympic Rings, onto the Home Run trail. Follow this trail (skiing above the Fairmont Heritage Place) to Taluswood the Lookout complex, from where it is less than a 1-minute walk back to unit #1. Ski access typically begins in late December and ends in March. The Guest Services team can confirm snow levels shortly before arrival.

Things to Know

• Taluswood The Heights Construction. The Heights complex will undergo a window upgrade project during June 2024. Construction is permitted from 7.30 am - 8 pm daily, so guests may experience construction noise from construction-related vehicles, and workers. As such, we have included a construction discount at the time of booking as compensation for any disturbances guests may experience
• Taluswood The Heights Exterior Painting. Commencing May 27th some exterior painting work will be conducted around the Heights complex, painters will be touching up the logs and handrails around the front exteriors. The impact on guests in these homes should be minimal.
• Fourth Bedroom. This home is currently listed as a 3 bed and will be until August 18. As of Aug 26, we will then be offering this home as a 4 bedroom.
• Quiet hours. Strictly enforced community bylaws state that 'Quiet times are between 10 PM and 8 AM' therefore spa use is restricted to outside these hours
• The Heights is a non-smoking complex. Smoking or vaping anywhere within the home or outside is not permitted and may result in a $500 fine
• Not pet-friendly. This home has a strict no-pets policy and can result in a $500 fine
• No parties. Event celebrations or parties are allowed on this property
