Ospitalità, buon cibo e relax sono le parole chiave per questa location. Tutto è curato nei minimi dettagli, i proprietari sono persone gentilissime e sanno come coccolarti. Colazione e cena con prodotti di qualità, sempre freschi e soprattutto ben cucinati. Andate a trovare Alessio e la sua famiglia perché non ve ne pentirete. Grazie di tutto, Antonio, Giulia e Moka.

A warm, clean, wonderful place to stay

My wife and I stayed 5 nights in mid-October. We had a wonderful experience. Let me try to count the ways: (1) our suite was large, quiet, well furnished, and newly renovated with a beautiful bathroom and rain shower; (2) the location is convenient for touring Assisi and other hill towns, or for walking in the countryside from the Villa; (3) the food was excellent, and Alessio arranged dinners at small, delightful restaurants on the two nights we did not eat at the Villa; (4) the price of the suite was very reasonable; and last but most important is the genuine warmth of Alessio, the owner. He and his wife and sister stand out even among Italians in their friendliness and hospitality. The Dutch couple at the table next to ours told us they had been coming to the Villa for many years. We understand why and hope to do the same.

Absolutely the best!

I simply can’t say enough good things about our stay at Santa Maria degli Ancillotti. Beautifully situated among hundreds of olive trees with long-range Mountain views, the place is peaceful and quiet. When you are ready to wander, you are a half hour or less from fantastic mountain-top ancient towns like Assisi, Spello, Montefalco and many other Umbrian treasures. Allessio, the proprietor, is a born host in the finest tradition. He greeted us warmly upon our arrival, and suggested we enjoy the dinner that his family prepares nightly as an additional service for guests. (5 courses, 40 euros). We had already made dinner reservations nearby, but decided to accept Allessio’s suggestion and cancelled our restaurant reservations. Oh my goodness. Certainly among the best meals we enjoyed in all our two weeks in Italy! (And we are foodies who always sought out the highest rated places!) After the first meal, we decided we would eat ALL our dinners at Santa Maria degli Ancillotti there while in Umbria. Two other couples were there while we stayed, and we quickly learned that they had been there many times, and that more than 50 percent of Alessio’s guests were repeat guests. Some come for weeks on end. We had a marvelous time in Italy visiting several great areas, and my only regret from our entire Italy trip was that we didn’t schedule MORE time in in Umbria staying at Santa Maria degli Ancillotti!

The only thing that is negative about this accommodation is that you have to actually leave at the end of your stay. Alessio and family are the most lovely and warm people. The sense of home Becomes apparent immediately. Many guests have returned repeatedly which is telling. The food and wine is astonishing and made with great skill and pride. Alessio is very sweet and sincere and is helpful in giving recommendations for visiting the beautiful Umbrian region. If you go To Italy this hotel represents the best of the country.

Absolutely loved this property!! Driving up to it at first was a little challenging with the narrow roads but once we got there, it was amazing, we were so pleasantly surprised!! Everything is top notch, Alessio and his family were incredible and took great care of us! The breakfasts are absolutely the best we've had to date and the dinners were outstanding!! We look forward to returning one day soon!

Lovely rural retreat

We spent three days being looked after by the wonderful Alessio and his team. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Delicious breakfasts and dinners gave us the energy to explore the sights of Assissi. The pool and gardens are immaculate and the lovely dogs and five baby kittens added to the joy of our trip.

Weekend retreat.

I stayed for 3 nights for a personal retreat. It was amazing. The family is so kind and helpful. The food is out of this world - the best in Italy. It is worth just going for the 6 course homemade meals. I did not have a car to go sight seeing but I was fine to take walks and enjoy the pool. I will go back.

Idillische Lage in Umbria

1) Familiär geführte Hotel mit Produkte aus der Umgebung und handgemachten Speisen. Exzellent! 2) Die Lage ist einfach wunderschön mitten in den Umbrische Hügeln. Das Haus ist im Ländertypischen Stil gebaut und verfügt über einen Swimming Pool, Restaurant und Garten (z.B. Olivenbäume...). 3) Das Früstück ist traumhaft! Kein buffet aber alles selbstgemacht und lecker/ausreichend! 4) Wander und Mountain Bike Möglichkeiten in der Umbebung. Alessio steht gerne zur Verfügung beim planen der MTB/Wander Routen 5) Die wünderschönen Städte Assisi, Perugia, Gubbio usw. sind in unmittelbare Nähe (mit dem Auto) und ein Besuch ist wirklick empfelenswert 6) Last but not least: wir haben uns selten so wilkommen gefühlt. Es war ein richtig schönen Aufenthalt. Danke dafür!

Excellent location

Excellent location, very friendly and accommodating staff, spacious comfortable room with fantastic view across the valley. Home cooked food was prepared especially for us as there was only one other couple at the hotel and it was very nice/simple Italian food. We would have liked to stay a few more nights here to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and surroundings!

Ideal for relaxing & enjoying the Italian campagna

When you visit Assisi, you are already searching to feel close to God, and what better than nature and the beauty of His creation to give you that feeling!! This place is the ideal retreat. The hospitality of the owners and the personal attention is incomparable to any other place you've stayed at before. The place is surrounded by the immaculate beauty of nature, in the distance the sound of church bells and nearby nothing but the sound of birds and crickets. If you love walking and/or jogging in nature you will love this place. I would get up at 5:45am and take a long jog/walk on a trail surrounded by green fields and shaded by all sorts of trees only to enjoy on my way back to the residence the sunrise while I stroll past gardens of olive trees. At 8am sit back and enjoy a homemade Italian breakfast while sipping on the best coffee you could ever have. The owner is a young warm and friendly guy that makes you feel as though you've been friends forever. Relax by the pool during the warm afternoon while reading a book that you can pick-out from their library. In the evening come savor a five-dish dinner freshly made just for you and enjoy a wide selection of their best wines. Believe me if I tell you, you cannot get enough of this place! Go there, leave your work and worries behind you and just experience what life is really supposed to be about... Thank you Alessio for a wonderful experience... I will see you again real soon!

Oase der Ruhe in der Nähe von Assisi

Wir (Paar, 50 J) haben fast 2 Wochen in diesem wunderschönen Hotel verbracht: Schöne Gebäude umgeben von einem Olivenhain, in ruhiger Lage mit herrlichen Ausblicken auf die umliegenden Hügel und Santa Maria degli Angeli. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl, in der komfortablen Suite, im Garten und am Pool. In einer entspannten, ruhigen und sehr persönlichen Atmosphäre findet man schnell Erholung. Das Haus wird mit viel Aufmerksamkeit geführt, die gesamte Familie kümmert sich um das Wohl ihrer Gäste. Auf keinen Fall versäumen sollte man das köstliche Essen. Alles wird von den Gastgeberinnen eigenhändig zubereitet, Fabrikware kommt nicht in den Topf. Alle Höhepunkte Umbriens sind mit dem Auto bequem erreichbar. Assisi liegt knapp 15 Autominuten entfernt. Ein (Miet) Auto ist für einen Aufenthalt unbedingt zu empfehlen.

Apartments and hotel are completely separate

It's important to note, since it's not clear from the booking sites, that Santa Maria Degli Ancillotti and Il Falchetto apartments are separate entities. We were given keys to the apartment and did not enter the premises of the hotel which is down the road with a separate gate. In fact they could not even accommodate us for breakfast or dinner since they were fully booked. We arrived around midnight and rang the bell at the hotel. There was no answer for several minutes and when someone finally answered she said check-in ended at 10 pm and to return tomorrow. Only when we told her that we had 2 babies in the car did she agree to come out and meet us. She was very unpleasant and continuously scolded us for arriving at that hour (despite the fact that the reservation stated that late arrivals would be accomodated). In fairness we later understood that it was a family run business but beware that if you arrive past 10 pm you will not be welcomed! The apartment itself was comfortable, clean and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook. There was no cleaning service and towels and sheets were not changed during the 5 nights we stayed. The location was a perfect point from which to visit various towns in the area. The view was beautiful.

per una famiglia è un posto magnifico dove rilassarsi e prendere il sole in piscina in tutta tranquillità. Siamo più che soddisfatti, il paesaggio è stupendo e l'agriturismo si trova in una posizione abbastanza centrale per visitare diversi paesini dell'Umbria. I proprietari sono sempre disponibili e affabili.

Dejligt roligt område, søde ejere, fantastisk smukt at gå rundt i Assisi! Lækker mad! Vi nød meget at der var så stille.. Og man bare kunne passe sig selv. Kan kun anbefales hvis man vil slappe af med god mad, sol og hygge:)
