The property was an excellent gateway for my wife and I the owner has on hand pretty much everything needed to prepare a fresh warm meal the only thing missing is a set of mixing bowls. It has a nice fire pit out back to do some smores and enjoy the evening watching the stars.

Our much needed relaxation time

The cottage is awesome, has everything listed , the refrigerator & the air conditioning works well , nice electric range, has a ceiling fan & a portable fan , the whole stay was awesome , There is nice deck - but gets a lot of sun, fire pit & picnic table , remember to take fire wood , or buy it along the way , the view & the woods behind the cottage are nice area to walk , the wild life is there to, some deer , rabbits . Ty he whole stay was amazing ? Highly Recommend to any one looking for a great place to stay, your host is very friendly, polite, you don’t seem them unless you would have a reason . Can’t wait till fall & rent this again , view is awesome.

2nd time Great Stay !

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at the Cozy Country Cottage and once again found it to be a five stars stay. Super quiet location away from traffic with a huge back property to roam and take walks especially nice if you bring along your favorite pup which we did. Our Shih Tzu. Dolly enjoyed it very much.! Communication with the host was prompt and great. We’ll definitely stay again.

The cozy country cottage was just that - cozy. The accommodations are very basic, but very clean and the cabin's proximity to the Raystown area make it a great place to relax when you're not at the lake.

Anniversary getaway

We always come here as it is just far away enough without an excessive drive. The fact we can bring our dogs is a big plus. Perfect size and location for restaurants yet away from traffic. This is our 4th year. Looking forward to many more.

Nice place..property was well maintained..house was well stocked..short drive to the lake for the dogs to swim! The only problem was no shade on the deck on those sunny days :( ...you were unable to enjoy the beautiful scenery and deck during the day in the blazing sun!!!

Nice cozy cabin, with a wonderful view of lawn and woods.

We stayed in this cabin 2 years in a row. It is truly a sweet little cabin. It is clean , with plenty of room for your stuff. The bed was comfortable and big. Everything worked just great. There is a nice big deck out back. The only thing is that in the bathroom, there isn't much places to put your make-up, etc. If they would put shelving over the toilet (which we have here at home) it would make it nice to put your stuff on it.

Wish it were a better experience

The location and ease of checking in/out of the property was great. However, we were disappointed in the lack of privacy and overall cleanliness. During our stay the property owners were hunting on the property as well as driving around with their ATV and dogs without any warning or communication to us. Initially the place smelled overwhelming like laundry detergent and when that faded, there was an unpleasant smell instead.

What an amazing experience at The Cottage

We were looking for a weekend retreat, somewhere peaceful and surrounded by nature. My spouse is recovering from cancer treatments, and I thought getting away would do him justice. Tim is such a gracious host, he responds promptly to our inquiries, and the cottage was exactly as it was described. The level of cleanliness was spectacular, and the kitchen was equipped with all the cooking tools and utensils. The cottage has excellent central air and heat that you can control. We are thankful to Tim and the Snare family for allowing us to stay at their property. They made us feel like family; he was so accommodating to even allowing us to check out hours later, so we did not feel rushed. We will recommend his property and will stay again in the future. If you want to get away from the city's daily hassle and bustle, this is your place. Thank you, The Soto Family

Over thirty years later the opportunity came about to purchase the entire property. We're excited to be able to share with all of you this home that has been near and dear to our family for so many years.
