Helt möblerad med de flesta av de bekvämligheter i ett hem, vi hyra per natt, vecka eller månad från 1 mars-15 december (om vädret tillåter). Sommaren är vår bästa sändningstid och fylla långt i förväg. Före och efter sommaren priser är lite lägre. Helgpriser är något högre än på vardagar priser på grund av efterfrågan. Vi kan hyra per månad med den kurs beroende på månad (er) begärde. Ring för denna prissättning, vänligen.

Kom till Raystown och njuta av massor av vattenaktiviteter: bad, fiske, kanot, kajak samt vandring, cykling och fågelskådning! Du kan hoppa in i Dirt Fest på Allegrippis Trail eller prova din favorit revben recept på vår grill på stranden händelsen. K-Bass Tournament är planerad under våren och skapelsen, kommer Christian Music Festival till Orbisonia i juni. En semester i Raystown kommer att vara en att minnas i många år framöver. Det går inte att ta en vecka ledigt? Besök oss för en långhelg eller, ännu bättre, kom under veckan till rabatterat pris!

Raystown Lake är en populär vattenvägar i södra centrala Pennsylvania. Den 29 mil långa sjön och dess omgivningar ägs till stor del av den federala regeringen med flera statliga parker och skogar i närheten. Det är ett fantastiskt område att tillbringa en familjesemester med stor vandring, jakt, segling, simning, fiske och fågelskådning. Andra populära attraktioner inkluderar grottor, rallare, ridning, kryssningar, båtuthyrning bara för att nämna några. För golfare, erbjuder Huntingdon Country Club en offentlig golfbana ca 4 miles norr om oss. Volontärer har nyligen skapat Allegrippis Trail som är populärt med cykling entusiaster. Fiske turneringar täta och grill vid stranden hålls i september. Under din vistelse, kan du vara välsignad att se en björn simma över sjön eller en skallig örn återvänder till sitt bo.

Kabinen är också bara 10 minuters bilresa från Juniata College i Huntingdon, PA och ca 45 minuters bilresa till Penn State University huvud campus i State College, PA

Our Stay

Love the location of this, the driveway is hard to get up especially if you don’t have a truck or SUV. Kitchen and bathroom very clean. Bedrooms were ok, definitely need new beds in both of them. I maybe got 3 hours of sleep because the beds were so warn.

Close to the lake

The cabin is little but very comfortable. The driveway is definitely a mountain driveway. Very steep. The property of the cabin is very steep as well. Walking to the firepit is very steep too.

The cabin was cozy and the privacy was great, look forward to visiting again.

We want to rent more than one cabin in the future for the whole family, it was so peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed not hearing anything but the birds singing. The lake is a short drive from the cabin so it seemed liked two vacations in one. Defiantly will be back

Would go again

We had a very nice time exploring the area. The cabin was comfy for the most part. We did have a lot of stink bugs inside though and the queen bed was not good for my back. We really enjoyed sitting at the picnic table with our cup of coffee and listening to the birds. I liked that the other cabins were not too close.

Sooo much fun!

Linda was very easy to get a hold of and accommodating to us by allowing us to check in early and check out late. We loved our stay, the cabin is cozy and big enough for 2 people and our 2 big dogs. Beautiful porches, fire pit and grill! Located in the woods and private enough away from the surrounding cabins. We can't wait to return. -missy

Original cabin upgraded due to Florence Hurricane. Very clean. More pots, pans & dishes than I expected, thought about bringing extra...glad I didn't. Close to town. Spent most of the time out on the deck.

Small, cozy getaway

Located up a hill with two other cabins about 15 minutes away from Raystown Lake, our experience was exactly what we wanted - a small, cozy cabin with a grill/firepit right outside. The pictures are accurate - what you see is what you get. The cabin felt properly cleaned and sanitized (you may need to bring your own sheets/blankets). The cabins around the area are far enough to feel like you have a sense of privacy. There's a TV with cable and a DVD player, along with AC (the unit is located in the living room) The cabin, based off the listing, met our expectations.

Peaceful, quiet, well equipped and far enough out of town to feel remote.

My wife and I just got back from our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. It was clean, well equipped, and comfortable. While there are other cabins on the property they are far enough away that they go unnoticed. Access to Raystown Lake is just a few minutes away and the town of Huntingdon with shopping and restaurants is also just a few minutes away. Still, it felt like we were in the woods which is exactly what my wife and I were hoping to find. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch just watching the birds over morning coffee, and again in the evening when we returned from fishing and exploring. The cabin is nicely equipped and everything worked as advertised. If the weather is wonky the cabin has cable TV which we only really watched after sundown. The A/C unit keep the cabin comfortable and I'm sure it would do the same when used as a heater during colder times. There is a small stove with an oven, a coffee maker, a microwave, and a large refrigerator so if you hit the Super Walmart for groceries you could easily stock up for the whole week in one trip and spend all the rest of your time seeing and doing the things you want to do. This was my second rental booked via VRBO and both places have exceeded our expectations. My wife and I would really like to make this cabin part of an annual trip, that is how much we enjoyed our stay. Sincerely, Tim Murphy Harrisburg, PA

The property manager was very good at communicating and would answer any questions quickly. The location was great, the driveway is steep as others have mentioned. I did appreciate that there were 2 ways you could enter the driveway to cabin 3. It was a great place for a toddler to nap with all of the trees blocking out the light. The place was clean, but there definitely needs to be some updated furniture/flooring. The carpet in the room with the queen bed is VERY musty and looks like it’s very very old. My dog smelled like the cabin for a couple of weeks afterward and I had to wash my son’s stuffed animals and bedding. I understand that cabins are musty, but this was extra. The couches also need to be replaced. The double bed was very comfortable. If the shower head was removed the shower would be much more enjoyable to use. The AC did keep the house cool. Overall it was a good experience, but there definitely needs to be a few updates.

With an eye to invest in rental property during the late 1990's, a broker led us to our lovely cabin property. We fell instantly in love with the property and made an offer to purchase right away. Although we were delayed in closing by paperwork on the seller's side, we began renting them even before we officially owned them! Thus began our real estate investing and my choice to become a licensed real estate agent. If you are leaning in that direction, I would gladly share my experience with you.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We have made many improvements since 1998, keeping the rustic charm but making the cabin more comfortable for our guests. The cabin is semi-private with natural vegetation surrounding it. A relaxing area awaits with a picnic table, campfire ring and cast-iron charcoal grill. While we are not set up to host large numbers of people for meals, etc. there are many picnic areas and pavilions nearby which can be secured for just such an event. These areas may be reserved by calling the US Army Corps of Engineers office.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Awaken to birds singing in the morning. If you rise early enough, you may see the deer trek down off the hill toward the creek (a deer run goes right across our property...make sure your eyes are open...one guest was walking her dog and startled a deer right behind her cabin!) Rock and roll to your hearts delight on the lake or the trails, then return to your cabin and grill your favorite meal. Relax by the campfire, enjoy your beverage and just chill.
