Alaska stay

The cabin was quite quaint and completely furnished including a kitchen and laundry facilities. Our host, Drew was very helpful in some of the questions we had. One note is the staircase to the upper level is narrow so you may want to leave your suitcases on the first level if big and heavy.

Everything was nice and clean. Welcome notebook was helpful. TV and cell reception was a problem. No cell service in cabin but in town it was a lot better

Quiet, Basic Stay

Quiet neighborhood a short drive from town. Very basic level furnishings, from furniture to kitchen to bath, all in need of some updating as it felt tired and drab. Lighting was dark, warm without windows open and no ceiling or floor fans. The price was probably fair for one night, reflecting the quality. I would choose one of the newer units across the way (shared hot tub) on the next stay.

We did not realize this was a two story cabin. Made it hard for 4 75 to 80 year old going to the bedrooms up stairs. Plus we had to wash towels and strip the beds prior to leaving.

We were disappointed that the hot tub was a community one and was kind of far away from the cabin. The steps inside the cabin were very steep. The beds were very uncomfortable. Location was great!

Wow! Worth it!

We stayed in "Sourdough" and were impressed by the small touches of comfort- coffee pods and cream in the fridge, Turkish towels, a thorough welcome notebook... The place is brand new and shows care in craftsmanship. The cabin has super comfortable beds, and stays very warm and cozy. Great set up for a get away weekend for friends or families. The hot tub can't be beat! Two thumbs up and five stars for sure!

great little cabin. hot tub was a wonderful way to walk sup and drink coffee in the morning. Cabin had everything we needed. bed was comfy and cabin was clean.

Less than expected

The pictures of the property were great, but ... The ad says cabin with hot tub, that is the hook that made us book this property. We did not expect a community tub, more than 75 feet away from the cabin in the middle of several vrbo properties, some under construction it seemed. Fortunately, we were the only ones staying in the complex and we did use the tub. The bedrooms are upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs, the stairs are way too small and borderline dangerous. We (at our age) have to use the bathroom a couple times during the night. We were not comfortable walking down and up those stairs in the middle of the night half asleep, so we slept on the couches on the main level. We love Talkeetna but the cabin was not as advertised in our opinion. Thank you
