Casa Descoberta is a fully modernised villa with a superb fully fitted kitchen and all fully upgraded shower rooms. The villa is laid out on one level and offers flexible accommodation for a fantastic family holiday. The pool area is a particular feature of this property with a good sized pool and lots of space for relaxing during the long lazy sunny days. Space outside for dining near the brick built BBQ.
The villa is situated close to a fantastic local min market that offers fresh bread daily as well as all your daily essentials! Larger supermarkets are located within 5 minutes away by car. The local area has the benefit of a handful of restaurants within easy walking distance and the village of Carvoeiro has restaurants of every type available.

A fantastic week

We really enjoyed our stay, the villa was well appointed with everything we needed for a relaxing week in the sun. The villa and pool area are spacious and well maintained, Mark was an excellent host and on hand to answer any queries. The location was ideal for us, not to far to travel to our favourite Algarve locations and walk to local restaurants and a supermarket. We wouldn’t hesitate to book the villa again.

Very well equipped villa, nice welcome hamper on arrival, all the facilities you would expect. Was there with 3 generations of family for a get together. Easy to find, warm welcome and very relaxing.

Great property

Very nice villa in a quiet, convenient residential area, less than a 10 minute drive to Caroveiro or Lagoa. Everything was exactly as indicated in the listing and we received a nice gift of some beverages to start off our stay. The outdoor/pool area is spectacular and the kitchen is well equipped. Mark, the property manager, was very responsive and accomodating. Overall, we had an excellent stay.

Don’t hesitate in booking this gem!!

I booked this property as a single mum bringing 4 teenagers! Ideally situated between Lagos and Albuferia it is a haven of peace. The spec of the villa is superb and every little detail has been thought of with kit for the bbq and all the stuff that you find you need but don’t have being readily available! I can’t recommend enough! Mark was really helpful & always available to answer any questions. The pizza plates the road was excellent too! we had the best time! Don’t hesitate booking!!!

Great Villa & Great Host

Went as a family, seven of us from age 6, to a teen, to a grandmum. I can honestly say they all enjoyed this villa so much. Firstly the pictures don't do it justice, it is far bigger outside, the pool is amazing and while deep there is a shallow section good enough for children and if they have floats then it is very manageable. The kitchen is well stocked and bigger supermarkets are only about 10 minutes away. Good parking space and air con in the rooms work very well. We would recommend staying here and will be back again.

Fantastic villa for a super relaxed stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The villa was fantastic, exactly as advertised, with a phenomenal pool area, lovely roof terrace with sea views, excellent and well stocked kitchen, and super comfortable beds. The location in the heart of lovely and relaxed Sesmarias means you can easily walk to great restaurants, also for take outs, and the local supermarket and bar. Communication and check in with the local property manager Mark who lives down the road was very smooth indeed and super pleasant. We very much recommend Casa Descoberta!

Family holiday

Large very well equipped villa. Spotlessly clean . Fantastic versatile outdoor space and amazing pool. Added advantage of utility room especially with an 11 month old . Mark was so responsive obliging and helpful. Very quiet area easy walking distance of some family friendly restaurants serving good quality dishes ( also excellent takeaway service) Would highly recommend to family and friends

Algarve 'home from home ' plus....

Smashing property. Excellent facilities and furnishings throughout. Villa catered for all our needs. Fab pool although not totally suitable for the very young. Mark provided an extremely warm welcome and, when called upon, was a kind, attentive and helpful host. Highly recommended.

Fabulous Villa

The photos were great online and our expectations high before we arrived. The reality is every bit as good, if not better! We have just returned from a fabulous two weeks. The villa was incredibly spacious for our family of 5, spotlessly clean and well appointed with so many really nice touches! The pool, outdoor space is phenomenal! We spent so much time around the pool! Mark was the perfect host and provided us with a very warm welcome, and was always there if we needed anything. We will definitely be returning!

Absolutely wonderful Villa

We booked this villa and can honestly say it’s one of the best villas we have stayed in. The villa was immaculately presented. The owner provided all of the essential items needed including all washing detergents, softener, soap. The kitchen was well equipped with plates, pans, glasses, etc, more than worst required. The bets were very comfortable, and also all of the size of the rooms and showers were also very good. Outside there was plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas if required and the pool was probably the best we’ve seen for a private villa absolutely immaculate. I would have no hesitation in recommending this villa for a holiday or short stay and we will definitely be returning.

Lovely Villa and pool

This villa was exactly what we were looking for. Just a bit out of town so it was lovely and quiet, but near enough that you can get to the beach, restaurants and bars. The villa was really nice and clean, and the outside area was amazing with a really generously sized pool. There was also a rooftop terrace where you could see the sea. Mark, our host, was really helpful and made our stay super easy, as well as being really quick with any queries we had. Town was approximately a 3km walk, and taxis were never a problem to get either way (this was in April). The cliff tops made for a lovely morning or evening walk, and the nearest ones were less than 2km away. There are some good restaurants nearby, with Luisa's Place less than 300m away, and a pizzeria only 500m away. We will definitely look to return.

Family Getaway 2024

Hi everyone!! If you read this and you’re wondering whether is worth it or not. IT IS!! look no more The villa was even bigger than it looked like in the pictures, there were towels available both to shower or bathe in the pool. Kitchen and barbecue were perfectly equipped (we had a barbecue on the first night). All the rooms in the villa were beautiful and the beds were very comfortable, we loved staying there as it was very tastefully decorated and we could take a lot of beautiful pictures. The host Mark was very attentive and always answered our questions almost immediately, he was there to welcome us on the first day to take us through a few things we needed to know. About the area, we are young people so it was a bit harder to control our noise , although we did as to not bother the neighbours around. I will recommend staying here if you are looking for a more quiet place. Overall 9.5/10 will definitely return. Thank you Mark ❤️

Great trip

Had a great stay at this villa. As described,, like photos, and very clean. We used taxis to go out and about which were very reasonably priced. The centre is a short taxi ride and away for around €8 For 5/6 people. Some lovely restaurants in the centre (Taste was our favourite) - booking s needed for some. There are 2 nice restaurants within walking distance - Luisa’s we’ll worth a visit. There is also a good water park around 10mins drive away too. Communication with Mark from booking to leaving the villa was excellent.
