Enjoyable family vacation

We had a great time at Amelia Island. The condo was clean and decorated very nice. It was very relaxing to sit on the balcony overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed being close to numerous fishing spots and many walking paths. We will visit again!

4th of July Get Away

The location of the villa overlooked the pool with a view of the beach. This was our first experience of viewing the fireworks on the beach. Wonderful experience. It was a very relaxing family atmosphere.

Weekend stay

The condo is great and exactly as advertised! It was in excellent condition and spotless! My wife and I were only able to stay for 3 nights but we will definitely be back for a week long stay in the future. Gordon responds almost immediately to any questions and is an excellent host. Our first stay in Amelia Island was awesome!

Yearly visit to Amelia Island

Beautiful place with a perfect view

We loved the comfortable, well supplied condo! It was wonderful. The host provided a very helpful notebook filled with local information about restaurants and shops. The view from living room, bedroom and balcony is gorgeous! Sunrise from your balcony was amazing! Would definitely choose to stay here again!

Gordon was very responsive and an excellent host. When I had a question he responded quickly. The condo is ideally located, clean and modern. Easy walk out onto the beach and close to food, restaurants, etc. I am glad we had the opportunity to stay here.

Beach getaway.

There are beach accessories available like camping chairs, cooler, boogie boards, and an umbrella. Photos are very accurate and area was quiet. You can bike on the beach. Bring something to gather shells, there's so many!Entering and leaving the property is a little annoying because of the call box. Southern pool is under repair along with the outdoor shower but apparently you can use the Northern.

Great Views

Pictures are accurate. Great views and great location. We were close enough to other things on the island outside of the beach and pool. If you’re looking for a quiet laid back vacation, I would rate this at the top. The check-in process was flawless and the host was very responsive. Full kitchen with all the usual appliances available. 5 Star unit, location, amenities, service and vacation. Would definitely rent again.

This property was sparkling clean, cheerfully updated with fantastic views from each of its main rooms, and well stocked with living and beach necessities. Gordon was responsive and friendly. A perfect location for our 2-night stay and exploration of Amelia Island. Only recommendation- get the slider door to the balcony “sliding” more easily.

Exceptional

This place was clean, had a beautiful view & was located in a nice area. One thing that was much appreciated was the chain lock on the front door (we took our toddler with us) and she couldn’t run out the door with this safety feature. It was a small but appreciated thing. Whenever we book places, safety for children is a big thing and this place made me feel safe with kids. We would definitely visit again.

Our host was very informative about our stay with directions and the gate app to enter property. The condo was clean, spacious and had a great view. We had everything we could possibly need. The only negative that was not the host’s fault was the bathrooms by the pool were locked. We enjoyed our stay!!

Only two areas needed improvement in our opinion. The kitchen needed upgraded cooking utensils - measuring cups, better saucepans, and a broiler pan. Also, the toilet needs a new flapper as it ran continuously. Very minor things.

The condo is well kept up and well stocked. It has a nice location close to the pool and the beach. Communication was excellent and I appreciate Gordon being readily available whenever I had questions. Harris Teeter is only about a mile away and easy to get to.

We live right off the island and have always loved being here! In our free time we like to spend our days either on the beach / at the pool or on the boat....anywhere near the water. We take pride in our ownership of our villa and hope that you will enjoy your time with us.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

Surf & Racquet is perfectly situated on the south end of Amelia Island- just down from the Ritz-Carlton and north of the Amelia Island Plantation- and it remains a "secret spot" among those in the know. Our busiest times of year are from March through mid August and the amount of people here during that time is a fraction as compared to places like Daytona, Jacksonville Beaches and especially Hilton Head (we've spent a lot of time in these areas). To the south of the island, you will find the undeveloped Talbot Island (award-winning state parks) and to the north, you will find Historic Fernandina, birthplace of the modern shrimping industry and past playground of families such as the Vanderbilts, du Ponts, and even Edward Teach (Captain Blackbeard).

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Our villa is totally renovated and updated- to our tastes- as we lived in the condo after downsizing from a residence. We hope you enjoy your time with us!
