Tadpole Retreat at Lower Fields Farm, is a lovely space with a large living area with TV, dining table and kitchen with a fridge, cooker and microwave.
The main bedroom consists of a brand new double bed with luxury mattress and an ensuite bath/shower room. There is a lot of storage space and also a little dressing table.
The second bedroom consists of two twin single beds, & a wardrobe, ideal for children sharing a room or two adults.
There is an outside area where one can sit on chairs and have a BBQ.

Peaceful break

Ruth is very friendly and helpful, caravan was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Set in a beautiful private surrounding.

The good, the bad and the ugly…

The good: The location is excellent. The host was wonderfully kind and accommodating. The farm setting is beautiful with sheep, horses, birds and dogs. There is lots of storage in the property. The bed was very comfortable. The price is also quite fair. The bad: No central air and there is heat that must be lit with a fire starter. We needed both heating and cooling during our stay. The fridge is small and there is no freezer. The cooker must also be lit with a fire starter (we didn’t try it). The hot water is temperamental. There was also no toaster. The property definitely shows its age. The ugly: The bathroom is flat out awful. Ancient and decrepit. The shower is small and hard to maneuver in. You can see a little bit of ground through the flooring behind the toilet. Some type of black substance appeared to be used to try to seal the gap but it was less than successful. There were soft spots in the flooring throughout the unit but most noticeably in the bathroom. Overall: Host and location is a 10. Unit overall gets a 5. Bathroom gets a 1. I do very much want to say how we appreciated the excellent communication and responsiveness of the host. She helped us out on short notice and was very kind.

Excellent value

Good value basic accommodation for a weekend away. Not the latest furnishings (see pictures) but suitably functional. Host was lovely and very helpful. Excellent value. Will consider staying there again in the future.

"Tadpole Retreat" benefits from a brand new double bed and mattress and supplied with luxury fluffy bath towels and bedlinen. Although the Caravan is set in the heart of the countryside, away from the maddening crowd, whereby you'll hear sounds of: Birds of pray, sheet & horses. That said, Leamington Spa, Stratford Upon-Avon, Warwick Castle are all very near. There are a number of pubs just a hop-skip-&-a-jump away including: The Kings Head & The Folly which can be accessed from the footpath joining the farm.
