Njut av detta vackra 1990-konstruerade stolpe- och balkhem som ligger inbäddat i skogen på en privat fem tunnland reträtt. Detta hem har katedraltak, trägolv i hela, en öppen planlösning med massor av fönster. Sovrummet på första våningen har en queen-size säng och utsikt genom skogen till vattnet. Det finns ett halvt badrum på första våningen. Gå på övervåningen till ett privat, rymligt loft med två enkelsängar och ett komplett badrum. Titta på förändringen av vattnet i denna tidvatten vik (11 ft tidvatten förändring). Simma vid högvatten av granitkanter och njut av lågvattenvandringar längs strandlinjen. Din vistelse inkluderar alla sängkläder och handdukar.

Det är viktigt att komma till din semesteruthyrning utan några stora överraskningar, så låt mig berätta lite mer om platsen.

Huset är 1200 kvadratmeter, beläget 1/2 mil ner en grusväg. Du kan inte se ett annat hus från vårt hus. Det finns en tvättmaskin / torktumlare men inte en diskmaskin. Det finns en DVD / VHS-spelare men inga vanliga tv-stationer. Det finns en telefon för lokala samtal men ingen internetuppkoppling i huset. Det finns en tvungen varmlufts-Rinnai-värmare, liksom en vedspis. Vattnet ligger bara 120 meter från däck. Vid högvatten finns det 11 fot vatten, och vid lågvatten finns lera. Staden Ellsworth ligger 6 mil bort och har 2 stora livsmedelsbutiker, shopping, filmer och restauranger.

Våra hyror går lördag till lördag.

Vi har en begränsning på 4 personer som sover i huset och vi tillåter inte husdjur.

Acadia National Park är en skatt att utforska. Schoodic Peninsula-området i Acadia är mer avlägset, mindre reste, men ändå lika spektakulärt som Mount Desert Island-området. Detta hyra ligger 30 minuters bilresa från var och en av dessa Acadia National Park-platser.

Perfection

Everything about this property is perfect! Tucked away in the trees away from all the hustle and bustle of the town is a perfect cabin. The cabin was clean when we arrived! Had no problem communicating with the owner. We had a wonderful experience!

A Maine Bit Of Heaven

We thoroughly enjoyed our week here. It was like having your own nature reserve with the ebb and flow of the tides, abundant wildlife, deep quiet and dark night skies. It is conveniently located to Acadia, Blue Hill and the Schoodic Peninsula, so there are plenty of places to experience Maine at its best. The house is perfect and comfortable with many useful and thoughtful touches. Kudos to the owners for providing virtually everything we needed. Imagine a vacation rental with sharp knives and non-stick pans that functioned. If we could, we would rate it 6 out of 5.

Waterfront Gem

The charm of this place is off the hook. Their water access is awesome. If Acadia wasn't so close, we might have spent most of our time at the house. And you don't have to enter Acadia to see wildlife, as it comes through the backyard all on it's own. This place was truly heaven and we can't wait to go back.

Absolutely wonderful!!

This place is exactly what I pictured for my family to enjoy our trip to Maine! It is close enough to be convenient for grocery needs, gas, door dashers and attractions like Bar Harbor and Acadia, but the secluded spot lets you feel like you are miles away from your stresses. The house was very clean and well stocked. Any little odds or ends we may have forgotten were there. There were also decks of cards, board games and puzzles to do with the kids. My kids loved that they got to sleep in the loft and having a bathroom up there was convenient! My favorite thing to do at the house sit on the back deck or lay in the hammock and watch the tides while listening to the birds chirping and the wind whispering through the pines. Stress just melted away! Our hostess was very knowledgeable and easy to get ahold of. She provided great information on the area, suggestions on what we could go see, where we could rent kayaks, and answered any questions I had. We loved our stay and highly recommend this home for anyone planning to visit Maine!

Perfection!

We had the most incredible stay at the house! Arriving was simple and after a long drive, the view of the water and the picture perfect cabin was most welcome! As others have mentioned the pictures do not do this place justice! The views are great - watching the tides come and in and out was a neat experience. We saw turkeys, deer, cute chipmunks, a heron, and an osprey flying overhead. We rented kayaks and the trek to the water and back was doable. When the tide is in, the water is incredibly calm. The kitchen is well equipped- we made breakfasts and dinner most days/evenings. We spent a lot of time playing games in the evenings. My son was excited that the WiFi worked. We spent most days hiking and had an incredible run of good weather - only one rainy day! Easy access to both parts of Acadia! We would not hesitate to come back!!!

My husband and I love remote, rustic homes! This was perfect. Surrounded by beautiful forest and waterfront! The house was spotless and had everything we needed in the kitchen. It is a very comfortable home! ❤️❤️❤️

Great location

We loved our stay here. We spent most of our time in Acadia. The location to the park was convenient. The house was secluded, and the view of the water was nice. We had lunch out, and took advantage of the kitchen, and made dinner at the house. It was nice to have access to the washer and dryer. The house was even nicer than I anticipated. We enjoyed the wood burning stove. We also watched several of the DVD’s they had available. We also rented one from the red box at the grocery store. The house was very clean, and well stocked with anything you would need. I would recommend it to anyone coming to the area. We would love to return, and stay here again.

Loved it!

Wonderful location, very peaceful and quiet, the deer were a joy to watch. Cathy and Rick were wonderful, they prepared us ahead of time in the event the power went out due to the storm, overall great communication. The location is perfect, it’s right in between MDI (Acadia/Bar Harbor) and Scoodic, do not overlook Scoodic and Winter Harbor. Highly recommend and will be back. Thank you, Dave & Kat

Hurricane Lee couldn’t keep us away

We arrived at our home when hurricane Lee was threatening Maine. Our host was concerned and gave us the option of coming back another time. We opted to ride it out and in this case it turned out to be the best option. The house is a gem. We lost power for a little bit but our host had water and wood for the fireplace ready for us. We loved the location. We were able to get to Acadia and Schoodic relatively easy. We also went on lobster boat tour and a kayak tour, which was also incredible. There are many little coastal towns in the area. Do remember that they don’t have TV. So make sure you bring a book or just enjoy watching the deer run out in front of the house next to the water. This house is close to Ellsworth so we were able to go out to eat or buy groceries easily. Would definitely recommend this property to others.

Beautiful home on a scenic tidal cove

We were thrilled with the comfortable and beautiful home and the wooded setting on the scenic tidal cove! Cloudy, foggy, and rainy weather didn't dampen our restful and active stay whatsoever. We kayaked, from the property, hiked trails, and appreciated the easy access to area parks, shopping and restaurants. Plenty of water birds to watch at the cove, and a pair of deer crossing the mud flats at low tide. The welcome goody baske, fresh flowers, books, games, and movies were enjoyed. Washer and dryer were convenient to have. Sat on deck during when the weather cooperated, cooked steak on charcoal grill, and utilized woodstove on a chilly evening. Would've loved more time! Peaceful and Perfectly Placed

Our family (including kids ages 10 and 15) usually camps but decided to treat ourselves and upgrade our accommodations when we visited the Acadia region. This spot was perfect for us -- all the amenities we needed to be comfortable and a location that was a perfect jumping off point for exploring the area. We spent several days combing through Acadia National Park and also ventured further inland. Each day, we were happy to return home and relax on the deck or read and play games inside. After the hustle and bustle of the park and Bar Harbor, we appreciated the peaceful setting and relative quiet of this property. We hope to visit Acadia again in the coming years and wouldn't hesitate to return to this property, with our without our kids.

This was our third visit to this lovely home nestled in the woods. The house is beautifully detailed…complete with everything you’ll need. You’ll have the feeling of seclusion yet about 10 minutes from downtown…the best of both worlds. Communicating with the owners is a pleasure…always very helpful. Tranquility

When we seen the property, on-line, it seemed almost too good to be true. When we arrived we were blown away. Everything was as perfect as it seemed online, especially the privacy. Enjoyed the goody basket, fresh flowers, and the complimentary Acadia NP map (very useful). The house was well equipped with everything we could possibly need. Location was the most impressive thing about the rental. Close to Acadia NP, Bar Harbor, multiple grocery stores, and restaurants. After a full day of hiking and sightseeing in Acadia and Bar Harbor it was so nice to come back to the house and just relax, unwind, and enjoy the tranquility. Can not thank the owners enough for opening their home to us. They went above and beyond to make our week comfortable and memorable.

Perfect getaway

We loved staying at Cathy’s place. The location was perfect for exploring and for enjoying some tranquility. Amazing family getaway!

This was our first family vacation in years and we couldn’t have asked for a better vacation! The cabin was in the perfect location, secluded but close enough to town and Acadia National Park to explore! The cabin was well equipped with all items we needed which made our stay that much more relaxing. I was even able to make my son a birthday cake! The deck and view was amazing as well! My children truly enjoyed the cabin and asked often if we could “stay forever”! Thank you Rick and Cathy for such a beautiful cabin for our vacation and we look forward to returning in the future!

Birder heaven

Just wonderful! House had everything we needed and the location was great for going to the Schoodic Peninsula and Mt Desert . The hosts kindly left flowers , a map and snacks which was a pleasant surprise. Hope we can get back some day!
