Perfect small cottage with easy stairs down to Goose Cove/MtDesert Narrows. Early morning sunrises over Cadillac mountain, viewed from the deck. Birdwatching heaven. New cabin with a well stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, game, books, maps and guides and Maine artwork. Short and easy drive to Acadia and Mt Desert Island. Responsive hosts who obviously love this gem. A perfect 10. I hope to return someday.

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Acadia NP and Bar Harbor. Very nice cabin with everything you need in a quiet and beautiful location. Very close to great places to eat and the park. A wonderful week

Lovely and relaxing cottage with spectacular views. The Banach’s concern during the heat wave was appreciated, but the cottage stayed cool and breezy. The cottage was very clean and well stocked. All amenities were as described. A relaxing and quiet week.

Idyllic cottage overlooking water

The Banachs have created a beautiful cottage in a peaceful setting overlooking the water. The cottage was very clean, well equipped, tastefully decorated and the beds were comfortable. The Banachs were attentive and responsive hosts. Will likely request to stay again in the future!

The view was amazing, the home was divine, and the location couldn't be beat. We wanted to visit all three aspects of Acadia, and our stay put us close enough to everything. For our stay, it was perfectly peaceful, perfectly located, and perfectly set up for all your home-away-from-home needs.

We had a wonderful stay at the Banach cottage from May 31-June 7, 2025 to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary! Everything was clean and comfortable and as described online. We especially enjoyed being on the water and watching the eagles, gulls, loons, and seals directly out from the front deck. Luckily for us, the weather was nearly perfect with plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the 50s and 60s. We had one minor issue that was out of anyone's control, but the owners went above and beyond to address this very quickly.During the stay, we saw both the sunrise and sunset on Cadillac Mtn, ate at Jordan Pond, stopped at nearly all of the points of interest in Acadia, hiked Raven's Nest and the Schoodic Peninsula, went whale watching, and even took a day-trip to Lubec, Campobello, and St. Andrews, NB. Not to mention all of the shopping and lobster rolls in and around Bar Harbor! Needless to say, it was wonderful to have such a great (and quiet) place to come back to every evening after such long days :).We would 100% stay here again should our travels bring us back to Downeast Maine. Thank you to the Banach's for building and maintaining such a perfect cottage in a perfect location. It helped create many memories for both of us!

Beautiful setting

We had a wonderful time on the Bay! After time hiking and exploring Acadia and nearby sights it was great to settling into this quiet spot and watch the tides and see the wildlife. The kitchen is well appointed and we had everything we needed to cook good meals. When an unexpected noreaster came through late in the season the owner helped us to prep incase of a power outage. We gratefully did not have that occur, but it was comforting to be prepared. Great clean and well appointed space and we want to come back sometime.

Great stay near Acadia

We were very happy with our stay at the Oceanfront cottage. It is a newer house with fabulous views of the mountains and on the water with steps down to a rocky sandy beach. It had everything we needed to prepare meals and was so comfortable and quiet. The house was very clean and well maintained. It was an easy 15-20 minute drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. I would stay here again if we are in the area.

So idyllic!

This one- level cabin meet all of our needs as we explored Arcadia National Park. The space was well stocked and the owners are responsive - couldn't ask for more! It was rainy most of our stay and the cabin was cozy but the view of the water was breath-taking!

Relaxing week

Although this trip had been planned, I had major stress added when preparing as we were now in an evacuation vacation instead of relaxation vacation. The owner was so patient with my outreach, answered all of my questions and made me feel like a friend and not a very worried tenant (arriving late, changes in dates, etc.). The location and home are amazing but the owners and communication were the best part

Great rental

Heaven in Trenton!

The cabin was all we hoped for and more! It truly was a little piece of heaven! Pictures can be deceiving, but not in this case! It is a private, beautifully furnished and very well stocked cabin. The owners thought of everything, and were very easy to communicate with! It was close to everything we wanted to do, but honestly it was difficult to even leave the cabin, it’s that perfect! We will definitely plan another trip to Acadia and we can’t think of a better place to stay! Thank you Patricia!

A perfect week in Maine

The house was very well appointed, and the view could not be beat. We haven’t been to the area in 20+ years and we had an excellent trip. Hiking and biking at Acadia, great dinners in Bar Harbor, SW Harbor and NE Habor. We went over to Great Cranberry enjoyed the boat ride and a couple of hikes on the island. Bar Harbor is a very happening town, and it was nice to get away at times to the cabin by the shore for a peaceful escape. Would highly recommend this little piece of heaven.

Exactly what we wanted

The cabin was perfect. So much attention was made to detail and comfort. A lot of supplies were there with the only request to replace something if you used the last of an item. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need .Great proximity to Acadia Nat'l Park, Bangor (There is a fantastic Transportation Museum there). Views were so beautiful from the deck. Enjoyed very much

A gem near Acadia National Park

The cottage was very neat, clean, and nicely decorated. The sunrises were beautiful and I enjoyed them with my morning coffee. We were very pleased about the location. So close to the park. Nice view of the bay with the surrounding mountains. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back! Pat, the hostess was extraordinary! Extremely helpful!

Bob and Pat are recently retired. Pat was a librarian and Bob worked in the insurance industry. We enjoy sharing our special place in Maine with guests. We have owned, managed, and rented this property since 1987. In 2023/24 we razed our beloved cabin and built a new small house which captures the charm of a Maine cabin. We use this cottage ourselves as do our adult children. This is not a bare bones rental, but one we share with those who are seeking a quiet Maine experience. Because we use the cabin ourselves, we hope it has all the amenities you need.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We love the peace and quiet on our 200 feet of private beach. We love the view across the bay to the mountains of Acadia National Park. We love watching the sunrise from the bedroom and the living/dining room, and the moon on the water at night. And we love watching to see a glimpse of seals in the bay.

Close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor but away from the crowds in a quiet peaceful spot. Also convenient to Ellsworth for dining, grocery shopping and supplies.
