Strax utanför din bakdörr är den berömda Captain Anthony's Seafood Store, där Anthony och hans fru JoAnn driver sina fiskaffärer och där de ringer hem. Butiken erbjuder den färskaste stenkrabba, grouper och snapper pengar kan köpa. Kapten Anthony gård är din bakgård, vilket ger dig möjlighet att luta dig tillbaka och prata om att få fiske med kaptenen, eller gå bara 50 steg (inga gator för att korsa) till Anna Maria's underbara vita sandstränder! Sandbar Restaurant ligger mindre än en minuts promenad från din dörr och den stora shopping och ätning av Pine Avenue ligger bara 2 minuters promenad, vilket ger dig massor av bilfria aktiviteter att njuta av. Du anger Sunset Cottage genom köket med kombinationen badkar / dusch badrum till vänster. Denna bedårande stuga erbjuder en queen size-säng i båda sovrummen med TV i 2: a sovrummet. Faciliteterna inkluderar kabel-TV, trådlöst internet med hög hastighet, strandstolar, strandhanddukar, propangrill och en tvättmaskin och torktumlare som delas med kapten Anthony och JoAnn. Denna charmiga bostad sover upp till 4 medlemmar av ditt salta besättning.

*** Kaptenens kontor ligger på framsidan av stugan, delar en vägg med baksidan av vardagsrummet och drottningens sovrum, ibland används av Capt. Anthony och JoAnn. Även om det är separat utrymme från ditt vardagsrum med egen ingång, kommer de att ge dig ett bemötande innan du använder utrymmet.

Excellent location, friendly hosts

The location of this property was unbeatable. Steps to the beach and restaurants but still peaceful and quiet. Anthony and Joann were more than gracious hosts and made me, my husband and my kids feel very welcome.

Great Beach Getaway

This little cottage is a great location right near the beach. We enjoyed walking down to Bean Point at sunrise and seeing all the snook in the surf. The beach near the cottage is perfect for the kids since it is very shallow and gradual.

Great location

The property is just steps from the beach. There are chairs & beach umbrellas provided. The kitchen is spacious & well equipped. The owners live on the property & are easily accessible. It is walking distance to restaurants & shops.

Great location and had all amenities that we needed. Could use a few extra 3 prong plug addapters.

Was a perfect location to the beach and to all the sites on Anna Maria. Easily within walking distance to everything, The hosts we easily accessible if needed. Will stay there again if we return to Anna Maria Island. Thanks for being great hosts.

Great Place, Great Hosts

It was a great location, steps to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. The hosts Anthony and JoAnn are amazing, they made our trip even better. They have a fish market, you must try their fish dip, it is amazing and worth every penny. The cottage/house was clean and just what we were looking for.

Perfect location on Anna Maria

My wife and I brought our infant son for our first family beach trip. Cpt Anthony and Joanne's place was a great home base! The location was absolutely perfect, steps from the beautiful beach, right across from the Sandbar, and right in the middle of downtown Anna Maria. Many coffee shops, breakfast, and dinner places within a few blocks. The cottage was quaint and comfortable, exactly what you see in pictures. And of course Anthony and Joanne were very friendly and welcoming. We're very much considering making this an annual trip, 100% recommend!

Little Mother's Day Get-Away

My friend and I, to celebrate Mother's Day without kids, spend 4 days at this delightful cottage on Anna Maria Island. I have only glowing reports regarding the location and the hosts. This cute and old-fashioned cottage sits in a great location and is in walking distance to shops, the Anna Maria Pier, restaurants and especially, the beach! It sits next to Capt Anthony's fish market which would have been interesting to watch; however, the owners were on vacation so we missed the action. Joanne and Anthony were wonderful hosts of the VRBO, and were the definition of exceptional hospitality. We will miss them and hope to return in the the future.

Beach Lovers Delight!

What a terrific cottage! Steps from the beach, several great restaurants and golf cart rentals. Beautifully decorated in a beachy theme. Furniture was gorgeous! Updated kitchen appeared to have everything one needed if a meal was to be prepared but we chose to eat out every meal. Front porch area was great, especially if traveling with children. They can play there while adults use the living room. Hosts were charming and don't miss the fish dip! Our souvenirs were fresh crab claws, also not to be missed. Can't wait to visit again.

Back in time

Owner needs to post hours they are unavailable. Fisherman with nontraditional hours of availability. The cottage is right out of the early 1950’s. Fun to experience Anna Marie Island in the traditional cottage of uneven floors, front porches and accessibility to fresh caught fish.

AMI is the best

We had a fantastic stay at Sunset Cottage! Just like everyone else says, Captain Anthony and JoAnn are just lovely. Capt. Anthony answered our inquisitive son's many fish related questions and even showed him how to filet a large fish. JoAnn was a terrific hostess, always making sure we had everything we needed. The location of this cottage can't be beat. Easy walking distance to Ginny and Jane E's to beat the morning rush for cinnamon rolls and a short stroll to Pine Avenue shops. We spent a lot of time at the beach because you could walk there in a minute.

Vintage Charm at AMI

If you are looking for glitz and glamour this beach cottage is not for you, but if you are looking for charm and character this is the place. We have been coming to AMI with our grandchildren for 5 years (they are now 7 and 10) and we have stayed in several nice places, but none had the location (you can see the gulf from the living area chair and sofa) and charm of this vintage cottage. The north end of AMI is the BEST end of AMI and the cottage is right in the middle of everything. The trolley stops within a block and you can walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes. The hosts were so gracious and my granddaughter fell in love with "Miss JoAnn". The beds were very comfortable, I slept great! We used the wagon (supplied) to take our things back and forth to the beach (lots of beach towels and chairs supplied) and there's even an ice machine. You will love this place!

Just steps away from the beautiful beach

We enjoyed this little cottage so close to the beach. It had everything we needed inside and out - including plenty of beach supplies. The owner was very friendly, helpful, and communicative. She even made us a fantastic snapper lunch one of the days :) We look forward to returning in the future.

Having always wanted to stay on Anna Maria Island, I was fortunate to have found this little cottage. With it's own vintage vibe and proximity to the breath taking beautiful beach you'll be loving this little gem yourself. Location was the #1 reason I booked here however the owners are one of the top reasons we'll come back! Friendly and laid-back they helped w recommendations and a wealth of knowledge about the island, fishing and great food!! We enjoyed the cottage's vintage character, others may want a more modern choice. Photos are representative.

AWESOME!!! Could not have been better.

The cottage was wonderful, cozy and comfortable. The location was perfect. We are not strangers to Anna Maria Island and this time at a 'new place' was a wonderful. The owners are on property and I fell in love with them and their dogs. Taking the time to get to know Captain Anthony and Joann was absolutely a highlight of our total vacation. We are already planning our next visit!!!

FISHING THE GULF WATERS FOR MORE THAN A HALF CENTURY

Captain Anthony is a master stone crabber and has been crabbing for over 55 years in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. He has been supplying his fresh catch to world famous restaurants, famous customers, and tables like yours!

The Captain is originally from Tampa, Florida and has been fishing since a child; owning his first boat at the age of 12. Committed to supplying only the freshest catch, Captain Anthony still leverages his deep knowledge to build, set, and pull more than 1,000 stone crab traps with the help of his experienced team.

Captain Anthony lives on beautiful Anna Maria Island, Florida with his lovely wife, Joann. His legacy continues; as people come from all over the country to fish with him because of his intimate knowledge of the gulf waters.

JoAnn began life in Buffalo, N.Y. and her family moved frequently; with stops in Cleveland, Phoenix and Riverview, Florida, where her love of fishing took root. JoAnn attended fishing seminars given by Chris Galati and Captain Anthony Manali. Yep, The Captain! She hired Anthony to take her and her friends fishing and to learn about boating from a seasoned pro. As they grew closer, one day, she finally asked him on a dinner date, (which is lovingly detailed in her memoir) and the rest, as they say, is history ~ They have been happily married ever since!

Never fear of parking on the island because you wont have to. Parking is at a premium to get to the beach, you are 50 steps away. Use our wagon to ride your gear to the pristine white sandy gulf of Mexico and get ready for a day of unbelievable relaxation like no where else!! Walk across the street to get sunset cocktails or dinner or call the monkey bus and for a tip he will take you anywhere on the island ~ no worries of drinking and driving because we are walking distance to the center of Anna Maria Island! Also take advantage of our fishing skills with inshore and offshore charters available. Just call to book charters at the time you are making your reservation at Sunset Cottage.
