A tavern, a shop, a Post Office, a candy shop, a café tea room, a fish and chip business, and a beautiful church can all be found in the village. A scale of market costs is still posted on a board outside the market hall, and the historic market square is cobbled. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Buxton's famed Opera House, Bakewell's charming market town, and the Alton Towers theme park are all within easy driving distance.
