The London Mews is perched on the outskirts of York City centre. This stunning one bedroom apartment is the ideal retreat for visitors to the City. Luxurious bedding combined with serene décor and hand selected furnishings make this a calm and relaxing space for all our guests.
The Space:
As you walk into this upper ground floor apartment, you'll be greeted by a sense of calm with neutral decoration paired with modern, sleek furnishings throughout.
The open plan, living, kitchen and dining room offers a 3 seater sofa which has the bonus of turning into a sofa bed if there's more than 2 guests. Smart tv, WIFI, dining table with 4 black velvet stools. The Kitchen has everything you need to make a three course meal or prepare a quick bite to eat., with Fridge, freezer, oven, electric hob and dishwasher. Kettle, toaster, tea and coffee are also provided.
The Spacious bedroom has wall mounted Smart TV a modern double bed with sumptuous bedding, large windows, hanging rail, chest of drawers, hairdryer, bedside tables, lamps and fluffy robes are also provided.
There is a high end, fully tiled bathroom with double shower unit and rainfall shower head, floating basin and recessed shelving to provide a home for all your toiletries. Complimentary lux Odyessy Black Pepper and Sandalwood shampoo and body wash, conditioner and hand wash are supplied.
The hallway cupboard contains a washer/dryer, hoover, iron and travel cot.
Towels and bed linen are provided, so all you need to do is bring yourselves and your suitcase.
The apartment sleeps 4 plus a cot bed for a young child, cot bedding is not supplied.
The apartment has electric heating and double glazing.
There is free parking available a 10 minute walk from the apartment on Fourth Avenue, or alternative free parking is available a 20 minute walk from the apartment on Heworth Road and Stockton Lane. The apartment is a self check in property, you will be provided with details prior to your arrival for the entry codes. We are always contactable if you need any assistance during your stay.
The Neighborhood:
Nestled just a stones throw from York's' medieval City Walls, you can meander into York to shop at hundreds of independent boutiques and stores, on route there's a wonderful bakery called Doe Bakehouse supplying the most amazing donuts of every flavour, they also have a pottery painting section and great coffee.
On your doorstep is a an Asda supermarket just a couple of minutes down the road and a Coop on East Parade for all your essential items. East Parade also boasts a beauticians, pharmacist, Cafe No 3 makes the most amazing sandwiches, you'll be spoilt for choice. There's also a beautiful park to sit and relax.
Getting Around:
Taxis are readily available in York and can be found at designated taxi ranks or booked in advance. You can hail a taxi on the street or use local taxi company numbers or mobile apps to request a pick-up. Licensed taxis in York are typically metered, and fares may vary based on distance and time of travel.
York has a comprehensive bus network that covers the city and its surrounding areas. Several bus operators serve different routes, including First York and Arriva Yorkshire. Bus stops are located throughout the city, and you can check schedules and plan your journey using local transport apps or the websites of the respective bus companies. Fares can be paid in cash or with contactless payment methods on board the buses.
Cycling: York is a bike-friendly city with numerous cycling paths and routes. If you enjoy cycling, you can explore the city on two wheels. You have the option to bring your own bike or rent one from various cycle hire shops or bike-sharing schemes available in the city. There is a bike store at the development.
Walking: York's city center is compact and pedestrian-friendly, making it an excellent city to explore on foot. Many attractions, historic sites, and shops are within walking distance of each other. Walking allows you to enjoy the city's charm and discover hidden gems along the way.
