Detta är en original Lincoln Logs hem, inbäddat i nästan tre hektar privat skog, med 100 meter av sjöfronten.

Inga bullriga motorbåtar vid denna ände av sjön, bara massor av vilda djur och enstaka kanot eller kajak.

En handgjord kanot är redo för din njutning.
Vacker utsikt över höstlövverk och mycket nära Jiminy Peak och Bousquet skidorter. Huset är tillgängligt under skidsäsongen. Helt ny Harman Wood Pellet Stove håller huset toasy varmt, även under de kallaste dagarna!

Stugan sover fem, med en queen size-säng i sovrummet, en dubbel logg säng och en tvilling luftmadrass på loftet och en bäddsoffa i hålet. Massor av takfläktar för att hålla dig sval och Harman pellets spis för vintervärme. Det finns också en original Franklin vedspis (trä tillhandahålls) för romantiska bränder. Välutrustat kök och sängkläder. En 1920s Glenwood gasspis i köket. Stor TV i hålan med massor av filmer att titta på. Tio av tio skärmade Gazebo direkt på vattnet med ett lager eldstaden och Honduras hängmattor i närheten.

Can not compliment the owners enough they go above and beyond, to make sure you have everything you can possibly think of 4 a comfortable stay. So much to do here, but yet it is so relaxing. Definitely looking to return soon. was sad to go.

Great experience

We had a wonderful stay. The setting is beautiful, the host was easy to communicate with, and the house was full of amenities. The lakefront BBQ area is a huge plus. We'll definitely be back!

Great place to relax and unwind.

We had lovely stay between Christmas and New Years. The cabin was decorated for the holidays, including personalized Christmas stockings for my three children filled with gifts. My kids are already asking when they can go back! The cabin is set back off the road leaving it very quiet, peaceful and secluded. John was very accommodating and the cabin is equipped with everything you could need for an enjoyable stay!

ultimate tranquility

What a peaceful spot, just what we were looking for! John's home was clean and comfortable. The spot was very private and quiet, though close to everything as others mentioned. The lakeside seating, fire pit and hammocks made it feel like all the good parts of camping, with a comfy bed and home steps away. John generously provided a well-stocked kitchen as well. The canoe on the lake was pure bliss and watching the beavers at dusk was very special. Rest and recharge and go here!!

The cabin was perfectly located for a week of exploring the Berkshires and southern Vermont. It is centrally located in the region, but feels private because it is surrounded by trees and set back from the road. It was the best stocked kitchen I've had in a rental. Relaxing by the pond was very peaceful; I particularly enjoyed the hammocks. Kayaks and a canoe were available. The cabin was spotless.

Great cabin on the lake with loads of amenities and welcoming touches. It was just me visiting a colleague but this is a great place for a group retreat or family fun as well as a peaceful place for someone traveling solo. Excellent and communicative host and I really enjoyed my time here.

Cozy cabin on the lake. So many activities including kayaking, canoeing and just floating. Very private location but close enough that restaurants deliver. Easy to get down to the lake from the cabin, even for seniors. Full entertainment areas at the waterfront. I hosted a dinner for twelve with no problem. Owner is great and available if you need him

Tucked out of the way. Idyllic. Outfitted with anything you could want or need. As a family we have stayed at many short term rentals over the years and can say that we have never felt anything more home like--as in it could have Uncle John's camp from childhood. Really lovely.

Beyond expectation - a hidden Gem

I could not be more satisfied with the experience we had during our short stay. It was actually very nice to be more in the quiet Cove vs the main lake area… Paddling via canoe or kayak to the main lake area and swimming off of the island there was quite special.

Wonderful cabin and property

The cabin is large and extremely well stocked inside and out. The property is large and there are many amenities outside near the water. The cabin had everything we needed and it is close to Mount Greylock reserve. I wish we had a few more days to spend there. We would love to visit again. The best VRBO we have ever rented.

This was the second time we stayed in this home because it is so nice and the host is generous and friendly. On a cold rainy day we stayed indoors with a fire and on the nice weather days we spent time by the lake. A perfect combination. We definitely go back.

Berkshire Beautiful

What a great weekend!! I just wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin is beautiful and had everything I was looking for. Very comfortable accommodations for the 3 of us. We throughly enjoyed being outdoors around the fire pit which was great after a long afternoon on the kayak and canoe. Host was easy to reach with great communication. Overall very happy with our stay and look forward to returning.

Lakeside Paradise

John has created an idyllic, lakeside retreat. The cabin has such a cozy, comfy feel and the family memorabilia makes it even more so. He really thinks of everything with some welcoming touches that create an inviting environment from the moment you step inside. This cabin truly has everything you could need or want to enjoy a peaceful, serene stay. I even found my most favorite childhood read, "The Secret Garden" nestled upon the bookshelves! We enjoyed canoeing, grilling and a nice pondside barbecue and fire. The only thing that could have been better, from the guys' point of view would have been the secret to catching the elusive carp in the lake. Thank you, John for sharing your piece of paradise with us...we can't wait to return!

My late wife Jill and I built this cabin in 2009 with her family's log chalet (in the Adirondacks) in mind. We were married 23 wonderful years and for many of them we ran a small Bed-N-Breakfast in Pittsfield named "The American House". For most of my career I have been a Chef in the Berkshires but I now work part time in the area during my recent retirement. I look forward to helping you have the time of your life here!
