Disappointing & overpriced
The host changed the listing after our reservation was made, removed access to the tub & added a long list of things you can't do - like roll luggage past the neighbors on the dock.We were given early access, then spent 45 min on the dock in the rain locked out w no reply from the host. His neighbor is apparently the on-site manager, that gentleman was very nice and did his best to help us. But this also meant that we had a neighbor that now had full access to our space, and that was not appreciated. Specific features like the tub were listed & were blocked from use when we arrived. When we finally heard from the host and I asked he gave a dishonest answer, he's now removed it from the listing.The location near Olympic stadium will have you 1.5 miles outside of the city, a 25 min car ride. Ubers are quite expensive, so the location wasn't good for us.My biggest issue is that this VRBO is clearly the owner's primary residence and that makes it uncomfortable to stay in. There is no ability to unpack your clothes because everything is filled with the hosts personal belongings. His food is in the refrigerator, etc. Overall I will say this was the strictest and least friendly VRBO I have ever stayed in. Although we paid an extra fee for cleaning services, he left us a long list of things that we were expected to do to clean the house for him. The host's expectations seem to indicate he's likely never stayed in a VRBO before trying to host one.
