Renoverat 2017! Fantastisk havsutsikt, 100yds till stranden, husdjur OK, skärm veranda

"Sandy Bucket" är en perfekt oas för din familj eller för två familjer. Sandhinken i vårt hus hänvisar inte bara till sandleksaken utan också till våra sandiga "bottnar"! Våra kiddos kallar deras botten "hink" så namnet har en dubbel betydelse för oss! Vi är husdjursvänliga, 100 yds till stranden med privat tillgång till stranden, panoramautsikt över havet och ingen väg att korsa när man går till stranden. Vårt hem renoverades i juni 2017. Helt nya köksapparater, bänkskivor, stor enkel handfat 10 "djup rostfritt stål handfat med hög utdragbar kran, ny tvättmaskin / torktumlare, alla nya badrum (plattor, fåfänglighet, badkar, toaletter, etc.), nya lyxiga vinylplattor golv i hela huset , ny färg och möbler (nya madrasser, soffor, stolar, etc.). Dessutom ett helt nytt VVS-system och tanklös varmvattenberedare så att du aldrig kommer att bli slut på varmt vatten !! Ett nytt 19 fot djupt däck slutför renoveringarna. Huset är 1. 5 miles till ingången till State Park och 2. 5 miles till fyren, livsmedelsbutiken och restauranger så det är på ett perfekt läge att cykla eller springa i båda riktningarna på cykelvägen som går längs hela ön! Partierna på East End är vardera 1 tunnland så det finns mer integritet och stränderna är tystare, vilket vi älskar!

Det finns 3 sovrum. Det stora sovrummet har eget badrum, takfläkt och franska dörrar på däck. Det andra kungens sovrum har en TV, DVD-spelare och franska dörrar på däck också. Våningssalen har en tvilling över två våningssängar och en tvilling över hela sängen. En rullbarnsäng finns också i garderoben så att våningssängen kan sova 6 barn. Matbordet har plats för upp till 8 personer med bordsbladet. Det finns tre barstolar vid köksbänken för ytterligare sittplatser. Vardagsrummet har en mycket stor bekväm sektion tillsammans med två dämpade stolar. Stor platt-TV med DVD-spelare, böcker och spel.

Det finns en utomhusdusch under huset med både ett duschhuvud och en slang för att tvätta leksaker och hundar. Parkering för flera bilar under huset också. Gratis wifi och kabel-TV. När du anländer kommer du att få ett startpaket (tvål, toalettpapper osv.).

Sandy Bucket - a dream stay

We loved the house, view of the gulf and proximity to the beach. Loved riding bikes on the trail. St George us a lovely beach community.

Great place to enjoy SGI

This house has everything we were looking for: awesome view, comfort, enough space for our group of 6, peaceful surroundings and more. We really enjoyed sitting out on the large deck and the very short walk to the beach. Would definitely stay again.

Beach Vacation

Beautiful beach vacation. The house was almost waterfront and a very easy walk to the beach. Clean and comfortable. The balcony was great for morning coffee and gated to keep the dog in. The beach was amazing.

There was one tee towel in kitchen, two pot holders, No spices other than salt or pepper. House said it fit 10. It felt crowded with my family of 6. We are used to renting the big houses on bay though. It was a great walk to beach. Gorrie does not go through this area so the street is sand. It's safe for kids to cross. The house is directly across the street from beach. We had some AC issues but April had it fixed within the hour. It got hot and I couldn't turn it off. Her hubby had to from an app. Everything is done by app now lol. We had fun it's a cute house, nice easy walk to beach. There is a regular coffee pot, and a kurig.

Nice beach weekend

AC worked great, beds were very comfortable, close walk to beach, quiet area, kitchen equipment looked and worked well, screened porch is a bonus, and tables and chairs on deck were very comfortable.

Comfortable and lovely SGI beach house

We highly recommend The Sandy Bucket. It's updated, comfortable, clean, well stocked and located in a less crowded area for the beach. We enjoyed our stay!

Location was good. Although it wasn’t beachfront but nice views from the porch, no street to cross and a good walking path to the beach. You could tell the owners have remodeled and put some cute decor in it. However, we did have a few roaches, the dishes were dirty and there was a water leak under French doors on second bedroom.

Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at Sandy Bucket! Communication with property owners was great! It was a perfect distance to the beach, easy walk. We loved the outdoor shower as it was the best! We all had enough space. The open floor plan was nice for our large group.

Perfect place

The house was perfect for my husband, me, and our little dog. It was an easy walk to the beach. Neighbors were quiet. We love the East End of the Island. Loved the screened porch and the big open wood deck. We will rent this one again.

Pictures don't do it justice!

This beach cottage was amazing!! You are much closer to the water than the pictures indicate. The beach was nearly empty and was so close we walked it at least once a day. There are restaurants on the island and cute shops. And only a few minutes from Appalachicola. Would definitely go again!

Prefect Girls Weekend

The house was beautifully decorated. It was a perfect location close to the beach and a short walk to restaurants and shops. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bathrooms had adequate towels for the 5 of us. The island was bustling with activities and the beach was beautiful. We had a great girls trip and will definitely be back! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us for the weekend.

Great house in a quiet location.

The house was as advertised. We were able to bring our small dogs, which was one of the reasons we selected this property. There is a short walk to the beach, down a private and well-marked path. The porch was lovely to have drinks and appetizers each evening. We went during September, so there were very few people around, which is exactly how we like it! We would stay at The Sandy Bucket again without hesitation.

Perfect winter get away!

We spent 3 weeks at the Sandy Bucket to get away from the Michigan winter. It was perfect. In the quieter part of the island, which is relative given it’s a quiet island to begin with. Even though it’s not on the beach, we had a beautiful view of the ocean and could hear the waves from the house. And only about a 100 steps to the beach via a private path. The house was tastefully decorated, well equipped and comfortable. The owner April was very responsive and helpful. We loved our stay!

We are a family of five that love St. George Island! We started going to this area over 10 yrs ago and settled on St George 6 years ago. We love how quiet, laid back and dog-friendly the island is! Our Golden Retriever loves the beach as much as we do! We have made lots of great memories so far here, whether it's looking for shells at the State Park, playing in the ocean, taking bike rides to get ice cream or eating oysters! We all love oysters!

Varför värden valde detta boende

This property sits back from the beach just enough to get those panoramic views of the ocean!! The house is 1.5 miles to the State Park entrance, and 2.5 miles to the lighthouse so the perfect distance to bike or run either direction. The East End is much quieter and each of the property lots are 1 acre so the houses aren't on top of each other. We have private beach access for our house and a screened porch for those times of year when it's very hot but you want to sit outside.
