The property was great. The location was amazing and perfect for our needs. The home was clean and we had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a place to stay in the area. We will definitely be back next spring.

Amazing and comfortable

Excellent!

Chickadee Cottage was perfect for our small group. Exceptionally clean, quiet location on the edge of town and perfect communication with the host, Therese. We certainly would stay there again!

Moms weekend away

This is our second time coming here for our moms annual getaway weekend. The cleanliness and space is what had us sold! Room for games and cooking and relaxing. Love this place!!

Another Relaxing Getaway

We have been here several years in a row now and it's always a great time for us. Spacious but cozy home. Lots of privacy while being in walking distance of town. Easy communication with the owners. We'll be back again next year!

Ideal rental

I have been using VRBO since 2006 and this was one of the best. It was clean, comfortable and came stocked with everything you could possibly need. It was in a very quiet spot near the sites we wanted to see. The grandchildren especially enjoyed all the wildlife that came to visit the large yard.

Perfect place for cousin reunion

There is so much space in this house. Huge kitchen. Large family room. Large living room. Plus many bathrooms and bedrooms. We had more space than we needed but we could stretch out. We liked it so much that the entire group decided to come back here again next year. Wonderful hosts were super responsive to every question.

Much needed break

we could not be happier with Chickadee Cottage and the owners. A beautiful, quiet location to enjoy nature and calm. My husband and I never turned on the TV even! The property is just as described, and Theresa was very helpful with checkin and walk through. We are definitely coming back again!

Nice!!

Very clean. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Two bedrooms were upstairs and small spiral staircase. Was not sit conditioned upstairs, but has fans. Spacious living room well furnished. Wonderful location. Well kept yard. Overall, very enjoyable.

Relaxing Getaway

This is the third time my sisters and I have visited the Chickadee Cottage. Typically we come when it's cold and need to use the fireplace but this year it was unseasonably warm and had a whole new experience. We had breakfast outside and could simply sit and enjoy the sounds and views of nature! We will be back again next year!

We loved it!

We were excited when we started up the hill to the cottage, it was nice to be greeted by Therese and her daughter and grandchild. The cottage was so clean and huge we were all so happy as each of us had our own bathrooms and bedrooms. The beds were excellent!, showers were great and we took advantage of the fireplace which was awesome! We loved looking down the hill at night and seeing the lights of Richland Center, It was so relaxing for all three of us we did not look forward to leaving. We found the history of the house and renovation/family pictures in a drawer in the front room, was so nice to see as we were curious about that information. Everything was so clean and every detail was thought of from fans to body wash and tons of utensils in the kitchen and even foil which we did use as we had Papa Murphy's our last night there and had some left overs to take home. We will definitely be coming back to stay again. We have stayed at many cottages over the years but none as nice as the Chickadee cottage.

When you find yourself in the Richland Center, Wisconsin area, plan a stay at the Chickadee Cottage. Located on a very private hilltop, which makes you feel you're miles from town, but actually, just minutes, plan on staying a while. The cottage is the perfect blend of comfort and attention to detail. Start your day in a warm and well-appointed kitchen, farm table and coffee bar included. A living room that invites you to sit and enjoy wonderful conversations about the adventures of your day, and bedrooms that are more than comfortable in size, and will make you sneak a peek at the labels on the pillows, towels and sheets! The Cottage delivered what all renters “hope” their rental experience will be. Hosts are available, and quick to respond to any questions you may have. We are already planning another stay at the “Cottage” in 4 years, for a special anniversary event that will be happening in town. Thank you for such a lovely rental. Deborah, Alan, and family-

Everything you need...and more!

This property listing doesn’t do the actual property/home justice… it is spectacular and gigantic on this inside. You will feel like you are HOME with plenty of space to sprawl out! Every room and I mean every room invites you to relax! The kitchen is phenomenal, stocked with every glass, dish, bowl and gadget you could possibly need! We brought our own groceries and prepared home cooked meals! You will get a restful sleep, as the beds are comfy and the pillows are fluffed!! The wildlife was breath taking...from the deer right outside of every window each morning, the Cardinals and Blue Jays taking a bird bath in a puddle to the Woodchuck we named Richie (Richland Center), we couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable, like home setting while being tucked away from the hustle! Paul & Therese are incredible hosts, very responsive. They make you feel like family. I could go on and on!! Thank you for helping to make our stay beyond enjoyable, it allowed our family to pause and enjoy every moment of our son’s wedding weekend!

Bigger and nicer than pictures show.

We held our family Christmas get-together at this comfortable, roomy home. Huge island for all the food and beverage. Beautiful setting on a hill in the woods. Accessible blacktop road. Would highly recommend.
