Papa's Hideaway May 2025

We could not have been happier with our stay at this property in Key West. We had the cottage. There are other small units on the property but no one else was there during our stay. The house and grounds were beautiful and comfortable. The courtyard and pool were paradise. We were able to walk almost everywhere we went, the Southern Most Point and a good deal of Duval Street. We can't wait to return!

Amazing Place, Great Location!

4 of us stayed here during FF and we had an INCREDIBLE time! The rental was spotless, the bed was comfortable and we loved having the pool. It was a short 20 minute walk to downtown, which we looked forward to as we needed to get our steps in and burn off all of the food we ate in town. We’d love to stay here again!

The perfect stay

House is close to everything - but tucked next to a park on a quiet street. Very classy decor and lovely poll and secluded yard.

Little gem

We stayed in the main house. It was much more beautiful that in the photos. The house was very well maintained. The pool and garden area was a big plus as well as proximity to all the major attractions. We would definitely stay there again!

Absolutely perfect!

I would for sure stay here again! The cottage was so classic and beautiful! My parents and I want to buy it, lol. It was stocked with everything you need for a wonderful trip. The cottage is in a great location which makes it great for walking everywhere (in my opinion). But, I would recommend renting a golf cart if you do need to get around. I would highly recommend staying at Papa’s Hideaway Garden of Eden! I can’t wait to go back & take my Husband next time.

Pool is shared/ not private Pool toilets right next to the bedroom is shared with 4 other rooms in the property. Checkout is too early. Leaf blower came in early first morning not cool. Lights and neons are on all night bothering light sleepers like me. Home is gorgeous and nicely put together but beds and pillows are mediocre.

Nice place but noisy

Place is clean and the location is nice however some of the pictures are very misleading. The listing includes pictures of another unit adjacent to this one. Also, the furniture in the pictures are not the same as what is inside the house. You can hear everything outside, especially when visitors are in the other rental adjacent from this one. During our first night, our neighbors decided they wanted to go for a swim at 12:30 a.m. and jump in the pool. You could hear everything. Also, there were some workers in that same unit after the renters left and they were hammering, talking, and working at 10:00 p.m. You do not have much privacy here. Other than that, the place was top notch.

Papa's hide away was perfect. Location was great 2 blocks from Duval street.

We thoughrally enjoyed our time at papa's hideaway. Pool was perfect, property was clean and provided everything listed. Comfortable beds and super private. Highly recommend this vrbo. Host was easy to communicate with. Thank you for a great vacation. Really enjoyed our sunset cruise with echo catamaran company and our wonderful rickshaw peddler Marko. Key west we will be back

Family meeting place

The property was beautiful and charming. I loved that it was Hemingway’s mistresses cottage! There were 2 couples staying but had family with children at a nearby hotel who would come daily and we all moved around easily between the inside and outside areas. The pool is very large and the outdoor area was landscaped beautifully with some roosters and iguana’s milling around. It was a quieter area steps from the southern most point landmark and close to beaches. Highly recommend this rental!

Perfect stay

Great Place!

We only stayed one night, but it was excellent! Incredibly clean and the check in/out was hassle free. Located right off Whitehead Street, easy walk to bars, restaurants, and if you are so inclined, the Ernest Hemingway House. Great stay and would highly recommend!

Great service

I like that Vacasa let’s you get a hold of a person whenever something is not right and they usually correct it shortly. On this trip nothing went wrong but they still called to ensure everything was smooth.

Well, my friends got to enjoy it

About an hour before we were set to leave, my husband needed an ambulance due to shortness of breath. Covid to pneumonia, led him in the hospital (and still there) so needless to say, he and I missed our entire paid for vacation. Our friends, whom we were supposed to share vacation home with, said the place was spectacular. Very clean, comfortable and absolutely perfect. Life sucks.
