The hosts are the best as was the assistance provided by their contact with regards to any required bookings such as tours and the golf cart. This unit is the best as it is if was your own. Have been a couple of times and always a great stay.

The hosts and property manager made this an easy, stress-free experience. The property was beautiful and close enough to the restaurants and shops to be an easy walk. The beach is beautiful and only a few steps away. The Casita is clean and comfortable. Will definitely consider staying here again on future trips to Tamarindo.

House on the beach

Great house on the beach. A 5 minute walk to the center of Tamarindo. Great communication with the owner and property manager. Nice touches like portable coolers and beach chairs provided were appreciated and useful. Definitely recommend this place and hope to come back again.

Best Place we’ve ever stayed in Costa Rica

The Casita Del Mar was by far my favorite place I’ve ever stayed in Costa Rica. It was steps to the beach and had every amenity inside. My son and I visited Costa Rica on a surf trip and it was perfectly located for all the great surf spots in and around Tamarindo. It was within walking distance to all the local attractions downtown and extremely safe. We will definitely be returning and staying at Casita Del Mar

Perfect location & Fair price

Definitely would recommend Casa Del Mar to others in the future! The location is perfect and the immediate access to the beach at the price it's listed for is more than fair. William and the folks that take care of the property are extremely helpful and made the experience comfortable for me and my wife for our first time visiting another country. After talking with other folks we met while in Tamarindo about the various places they were staying it was clear we got very lucky!

Amazing!

Our stay at Casa Del Mar was perfect! The owners (Roger & Pat) were on site in the big house in front and were able to assist us with check in and were available throughout our entire stay. The blue book they have inside was very thorough along with the instructions and info they provided at check in. The location was perfect, not too close to all the hustle and bustle at the city center but also close enough to walk to it. The location to the beach was very accessible as the walkway is on site and had private access through the gate to it. We loved every minute of our stay and would definitely come back!

This property is very well situation, walking distance from downtown Tamarindo and directly on the beach with a surf school next to it. William is the manager and frankly, he made our stay worry free and went out of his way to help us out. The only downside for me was the lack of curtains, made us wake up pretty early as lots of light coming in at 5h30am. Other than that, it was clean and had absolutely everything we needed. Would recommend :)

All too short...

It was with a sigh of relief when we arrived at the Casita and a proper welcome/refuge for the 5 days we stayed there.We'd just had a two-week tour of Costa Rica and were very much in need of a few days' relaxation before returning home.The accommodation was beautifully clean and well-equipped. Clear instructions are provided to keep guests in line with the ecological functioning and responsibilities of households in the area. Just to reassure people, there is ample space for 2 in the apartment so as not to feel cramped at all!We wished we could have stayed longer.

Paradise on the Beach

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days at Casita Del Mar. The casita is fully equipped with everything you may need ~ beach chairs and boogie boards are an added bonus. The location is perfect ~ quiet end of the beach but close enough to easily walk into town. We loved sitting out on the private deck watching the monkeys in the overhanging mango tree. The grounds are lush and tropical and the convenience of walking right out onto the beautiful beach was fantastic. Communication with both William (property mgr) and Roger (owner) was excellent. We highly recommend Casita del Mar as the place to stay on your next visit to Tamarindo. We look forward to a return visit.

We had a wonderful time. The location was steps to the beach through a private entrance and exit. From the beach in front it was a short walk to town center (about 10 min) or you could walk along the sidewalk on the street side. We enjoyed eating on the beach every night at the various restaurants. And enjoyed the beautiful sunsets every night. The owners have a separate property on site. They were great hosts very knowledgable and helpful about the area. You won't find a better deal with this location in Tamarindo!

Great location and quiet

The room is very comfortable and clean. It met our needs perfectly. Outside space and access to the beach is great and just a short few minutes drive to everything in busy Tamarindo. The only minor issue for us was with the car getting in and out of the gated driveway. (Heavy and with padlock) It felt very safe and secure which was nice, but automatic gate opener would be a huge improvement. A wonderful surprise was the amazing restaurant and bakery directly across the street so no need for the car there!

Beachfront Gem - the best of both worlds!

We stayed in the charming treetop casita for 3 nights and wish it were longer. Roger and his wife were such wonderful hosts . Roger gave us a lot of helpful information prior to our visit. As soon as we got there, we felt so comfortable and at home. They explained evee And provided great local tips. The casita is private with a large deck among the mango trees. The beach is right there- just walk out the gate ! It is also just a short stroll to all of the shops, restaurants and bars. While in the casita or on the property it was complete tranquility. We looked at many options before choosing to stay here and we are so glad that we did ! We look forward to our next visit. Thanks to Roger and his wife for being so welcoming and friendly. Don’t hesitate to book this place - you will be happy that you did!

Wonderful

The Casita is in a great location for beach access, nice and quiet and yet a very short walk to restaurants, bars, small grocery stores. The studio had all the conveniences required for an enjoyable stay including a private patio surrounded by lovely foliage. The owner and property manager were very accommodating, they reached out upon reservation and offered suggestions and assistance to ensure a pleasant stay. Stellar housekeeping/gardening staff as well. No complaints. Pura vida!

Spacious on beach

The studio is spacious with nice kitchen area and bathroom. And there’s hot water for shower. There’s also a large deck; there was maid service she did the laundry for me. They have boogie boards, chairs, fins coolers for beach. You walk out of property and you’re on the beach. Was not crazy about beach, no sand and very crowded but that has nothing to do with rental. And I did not find restaurants and bars within walking distance. There was lovely and pricey restaurant, Sophia’s across street. Overall nice stay would rent again.

The location was perfect for us. Close enough to walk to Tamarindo to shop yet not in the thick of the crowds. Roger and Pat were super hosts. They had inside information that was helpful. The girls on the beach did wonderful hour massages for $30. The gold cart was fun to get for a few days and drive to Langosta. It is a beautiful uncrowded beach. They have a very cute friendly dog we enjoyed on the property. The property feels very secure and it is steps to the beach. The beds were comfy and the kitchen is well equipped. It was a perfect choice for our stay.

We have owned the property for 33 years and William, our manager, has been a property manager for over 25 years in Tamarindo so not only will he meet you to check you in when you arrive, help arrange most any activity during your stay.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We selected this property because it is directly on the best part of Tamarindo's great beach and close to the center of town, about a 15 minute walk to the circle. It's great because about 50 steps and you are on the sand and soon your are swimming, surfing, boogie boarding (furnished boards) or just enjoying the beach in one of our beach chairs. Also the lot is large enough for a flower garden and a mango tree where the monkey's hang out during the mango season.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The property is completely walled in with off street parking, you really do not need a car. The Casita had a great patio with lounge chairs, table and chairs for your dining pleasure, all with a white water view and a big plus is great monkey viewing during mango season, Feb. March and into April, the patio is built close to the mango tree allowing monkeys roof access and sometimes walk on patio railings.
