A lovely warm welcome from Claudia and Michel. The Orangerie had everything we needed and the decor was sublime. The laundry facilities and small but very well equipped gym were a great bonus and the grounds and views beautiful. Just a short drive outside Bayeux, this was a wonderful location from which to tour Normandy. We will definitely consider visiting again.

A magical stay in a real French chĂąteau!

Our time here was nothing short of a dream! The chñteau and its surrounding grounds are even more beautiful in real life than in the photos – with elegant rooms, historic charm, and exquisite interiors that make you feel like you’re living in another era.The garden, the pond, and the view brought peace to our souls every single day, and it was impossible not to relax completely. We enjoyed iced coffee to the sound of birdsong and truly felt the holiday spirit from day one.The chñteau’s hostess, Claudia, was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and warm – we felt like honored guests, not just renters. This was one of the highlights of our journey through Normandy, and something we’ll carry beautiful memories of for many years to come!Highly recommended!

Perfect spot for families

We loved our stay! The location was perfect for touring Normandy, and the garden offered such a peaceful setting for ending our days. Claudia was charming as could be and very accommodating. The space worked great for our group of 5 (4 adults and a 5 year old). My son especially loved the balcony, because it made a great launch pad for the parachute toys he got from the WW2 museum. Highly recommend!

A romantic and beautiful chateau stay.

This is such a beautiful and relaxing property! Our gracious hosts met us and gave us the fascinating history of this 1720's chateau. The apartment is beautifully appointed and such a relaxing home to come back to after a busy day of visiting the local sites. Merci encore pour une visite impeccable !

Wir hatten einen wirklich schönen Urlaub bei Claudia und Michel. Claudia hat uns persönlich empfangen und bei allen Fragen, auch schon vor Anreise, helfen können. Die Unterkunft ist gut zu finden und liegt in einem ganz kleinen Dörfchen in der NĂ€he von Bayeux.Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die RĂ€ume sind alle groß und hell und entsprechen zu 100% der Beschreibung! Der Garten war fĂŒr die Kinder zu jeder Zeit nutzbar zum Spielen und Sonnenbaden. Die Umgebung ist herrlich fĂŒr Naturliebhaber, man kann alles ohne Probleme mit dem Fahrrad erkunden. Die nĂ€chstgrĂ¶ĂŸere Stadt, Bayeux, ist in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar. Wir sind so verzaubert von dieser wunderschönen Kleinstadt. Man kann wunderbar flanieren, in kleinen CafĂ©s einkehren und sehr gut essen.Wir haben vor wieder zu kommen und dann kommen wir auch wieder zu Claudia und Michel. Wir haben uns sehr gut betreut gefĂŒhlt und durften am letzten Abend auch noch der Geschichte des Hauses lauschen.

Joy near Bayeux

The host of this gorgeous home is delightful and extremely helpful. Perfect location for visiting all Normandy sights while being in a country setting. Wish we could have stayed longer. We would go back again.

Beautiful, clean and comfortable

We were in the area to tour Normandy museums and WW2 sights. The castle was located in the center of everything which made for very easy day trip. Our hostess was very kind and gave us a nice tour of the property and shared history of the area. Over all the property was fresh, very clean and well maintained and surprisingly high quality linens, beds and pillows. Highly recommend!!

Lovingly restored and decorated historical orangerie

Our family of 7 including a baby and small dog were warmly greeted by Claudia and Michel and shown around our lovely accommodations. Claudia even gave me some pasta to cook for our dinner when jet lag made us forget to buy some at the market! And we were touched by the bottle of chilled champagne given to us on our arrival. They were always available to answer our questions and give us recommendations on restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. The location is well situated to visit Bayeux and the D-Day sites. The home was beautiful and comfortable and we feel we now have friends in Normandy!

Wonderful stay

The property was exactly as described. It was quiet, comfortable and very spacious. Our host was lovely and checked in on us to make sure everything was OK. We were in a large and modern wing attached to a stately home in which she lives. Our party needed all three bedrooms which were well-appointed, welcoming and comfortable. It was perfect for a lazy start in the morning, relaxing with breakfast outside the back of the property in front of the lawn and pond, facing the rising sun. Just heavenly. There were excellent laundry facilities and we were glad to be able to freshen our clothes on the penultimate day of our stay. In terms of location, it was perfect for us as we made day trips all over Normandy and even into Brittany. The road system was excellent and navigation was easy.

Beauty inside and out

Located just a short distance from Bayeaux in the countryside. The setting is beautiful and the unit is clean and comfortable. The owner is charming. I would highly recommend. We used it as a base to travel the sites of Normandy.

Lovely property out in the quiet country but just 10 minutes from Bayeux. Spacious and well-equipped, with so many interesting and authentic details. Gorgeous sunrises! A welcoming and knowledgeable host who loves her property and the surrounding area. We loved staying here!

Wonderful Location and Fabolous Property

I was visiting this part of France with my wife, mother and mother in law, we had a really enjoyable stay and would thoroughly recommend it as an ideal location for anybody visiting the area. The host had a wealth of information on Normandy and we found the accommodation relaxing and exquisitely furnished and decorated.

Pastoral setting in rural France.

We spent 5 nights in this lovely setting in order to explore Normandy, Mont Saint Michel, & Rouen. The apartment had limited amenities, but was comfortable for two couples. The laundry facility is adjacent to the apartment, & shared with the other apartment. The location is 10 minutes outside of Bayeux. Claudia is a responsive & welcoming host. We gained a whole new appreciation for the French countryside!
