Family Vacation

Annual remembrance trip

The weather was beautiful, we enjoyed the wildlife We woke up to wild turkeys and hummingbirds and the trip finished with a mother bear and her cub coming up by house and climbing the trees. the house is very quiet, very nice and enjoyable. personally the kitchen does not offer much space on counters for food prep or anything. We happen to use the kitchen more than others who may go out often. we enjoyed our time together in your place. my wife and I would go nearly every year to Rumbling bald. She passed and we continue to go and reflect on our times together as my wife, as the family reflects on their mother , grandmother and sister. Thank you for the stay

Breath of fresh air

The house provided comfortable space & furnishing for our family of 6 adults and 5 children ages 5-12. The children really enjoyed the game room & roasting marshmallows in fihe fire pit area. Outside decks and screened porch added to relaxing atmosphere. The parking area is very steep but doable.

Rumbling Bald vacation

We had a group of 8 adults and 1 child at the rental property and had plenty of room for everyone to eat, sleep, enjoy time together and had plenty of room to enjoy time to ourselves, if desired. The game room was a lot of fun to enjoy time with family members. Plenty of deck space, patio space and the fire pit area was also enjoyed by all of the family members. All of the beds that were used were very comfortable also. Kitchen was very well stocked with pots and pans, dishes, bowls, glasses, coffee mugs etc. It was also a pleasant surprise to find a nice variety of different spices. Plenty of games to choose from to help keep everyone entertained. If you get bored staying at this vacation rental, then that’s on you!!

Beautiful location!

This property has everything! Game room, screened in porch, fire pit area, beautiful well stocked kitchen, beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms. The location was so serene and quiet. Plus, the communication with the property management was excellent. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Great set up for family fun but beds were not comfortable

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family with 7 adults and 3 kids enjoyed our stay overall. There were lots of activities for our family at the house and in the community. The property management company was great. We had everything we needed and their communication was good. However, most of our family did not sleep well during the stay because we found the beds to be uncomfortable. Most were very, very firm. The house was clean overall but there was a little bit of dust in a couple of rooms that bothered some of our group’s sinuses.

Quiet location, great amenities

Or group was both adults and teens, so this house was perfect! We used the firepit several times and all of the Resort amenities, which were awesome. The house set up and organization made it easy for our family. Would definitely stay again.

Christmas Getaway

Came to Lake Lure for a family wedding

Moose Tracks was perfect for us. Plenty big enough for 8 people, fun game room, nice fireplace and kitchen. The driveway is a little steep, but hey, you’re visiting the mountains! Loved our stay, and the wedding was perfect too. Definitely would stay here again.

Great house, Great vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great vacation. The house was clean, well stocked and very spacious. We enjoyed the quit at the house and the amenities at Rumbling Bald. We had a bear and her Cubs visit 3 days in a row, all at very different times of day. They messed with the grill on the deck. She did warn us of recent bear activity in the area. We were thrilled to see them up close, behind closed doors. We enjoyed the game room everyday. The only downfalls we’re the very steep driveway (but you are on a mountain) and having to drive the trash to the dumpster which was closed the 1st time and the last time. We had to take the trash back to the house with us and return the next day. The last time we were leaving the resort and told to drop it off at a dumpster down the road which was out of the way. We were packed to go home so had limited space for garbage bags (there was a triathlon at the resort and we didn’t want to fight the closed roads more than once) I would suggest taking your trash to the dumpster during the week and not wait until the weekend.

Everyone gets their wish!

Moose Tracks was the perfect vacation home for our family. Every family member’s wish for this trip was fulfilled - secluded retreat - check! - resort with lots to do - check! - close to attractions for sightseeing - check! - plenty of room for family meals and fun together - check! - private spaces for moments of solitude and quiet - check! The home was clean, well appointed, had plenty of cookware, dishes, etc. We were delighted with all the thoughtful extras, like cozy blankets for cool evenings, board games, pantry items, a book corner and even telescoping marshmallow sticks! The screened porch gave us bug-free game nights while enjoying the mountain atmosphere and we enjoyed the fire pit several nights too. Can’t wait for another vacation at Moose Tracks!

Family summer vacation

4 adults & 5 children (ages 12-21) stayed in this great home. The gaming area was a fantastic place for the kids and it was used extensively. We used the Weber grill twice and the kitchen had everything we needed for multiple meals. Lots of space for us all inside and out. Sofa & loveseat we’re both recliners, plus an additional recliner made for comfortable leisure time watching the TV (which is a little dated, but it was HD). The property managers were fantastic and very accessible. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great Place for a Family Vacation

We had a great stay at Moose Tracks and Rumbling Bald. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax—and tons of fun opportunities for both big kids and little kids: from pool and pop-a-shot on the lower level to board games on the screened-in porch. We would go back in a heartbeat!
