Very bad experience

The refrigirator door was not closing and all the food we brought got spoilt. The top floor guest toilet flush did not work, the place was dirty, the grill was full oil and there was no gas coming. Had to call maintenance to fix all this. The pan was disgusting. Very very bad experience.

Yearly snow trip

We have stayed at this property 3 times and we always have a great time. Location is great and the house fits our large family. Although, we are starting to see the wear and tear of the house. We noticed that the property’s upkeep has not been the priority and the house could use more general cleaning. But thank you for another great memories.

Great! Awesome for big groups.

We celebrated my husband’s 30th birthday and had an awesome time. The house is spacious so everyone had privacy. Our 2 year old daughter loved the toys they had provided. We will definitely be staying here again!

Perfect Family Ski Getaway

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Lodge. There was space to gather and enjoy time together and space to retreat for privacy & relaxation. Bathrooms, laundry & kitchen were well appointed…they thought of everything! Views were great, location close to restaurants & a short drive to skiing. I highly recommend the Comfort Lodge!

Comfort lodge stay

Our stay at the house was horrible! The lake was great! This house is NOT what is advertised. It’s filthy, I found last guest prescriptions in bedroom, the couch had three big stains that I ended up washing out myself so that we could sit on the couch. One guest tripped and hurt her ankle because the floor is uneven. The refrigerator didn’t work, but the freezer did. The refrigerator door was hanging onnby a thread, and they put two 2x4 wood pieces that had to be shoved under the broken door to make the door stay closed. I had two guest who needed to keep their insulin cold. Had to put insulin and all food in coolers on ice due to refrigerator not working. Ants all over this house! The bottom floor toilet overflowed. The banister for the stairs wobble, not safe to hold into as you go upstairs. The pantry is filled with old rotting pots and pans. A slumlord must own this house and you can tell they don’t use any of the money they make on this house to keep the house up. The customer service number sucks and is useless. The never called me like they said they would and I called them the very next day after we arrived. Literally all these things happened on the first day. DON’T RENT THIS HOUSE IT SUCKS!!! Unless you like filth, ants, a broken toilet, bumps in the floor and a broken refrigerator. I’m suppose to hear back from corporate tomorrow because when the 800 number didn’t help I decided to go directly to the agents office. I spoke with Heather who was helpful. This woman took her own refrigerator cleaned it all out and brought it to us to use for the insulin users. Heather did what she had the power to do and I appreciated that. It’s just too bad she works for a company that just sucks! I am asking for a refund of some sort for the inconvenience. I’ve gone to shaver lake for 15 years and have never had a bad cabin experience like this one. This place SUCKS!

Spacious and comfy

We had a total of 14 adults and teens stay in this cabin and it never felt crowded. We got rained in one day and spent more time at the cabin than we had originally planned, but there was always enough room for all of us to spread out or find a quiet space if we needed it. There was plenty of parking for the 4 vehicles we brought which is much better than most of the other cabins we saw in the same area. We will definitely be coming back to this one in the future!

Great home!

Beautiful house that was modern but still felt like a lived in cozy home. Plenty of room for 4 families and never once felt crowded. Everything was very clean and tidy. We couldn’t ask for anything better when it came to the outside area. Beautiful location that had snow play areas all around us. No need to drive anywhere just go outside and sled down the hills. The home is at the end of a road so we didn’t have to worry about traffic at all. 10/10 couldn’t have had a better stay and location. Will be coming back definitely.

Perfect for Large Families or Groups

To start off first we weren’t originally suppose to stay in Comfort Lodge. Some arrangements were made that allowed us to stay in this home and we can’t tell you enough how perfect this home was for our trip! Very spacious with lots of amenities. So welcoming and everyone settled in perfectly. We will definitely be returning to Comfort Lodge again in the future. Also not to forget how helpful and friendly the Vacasa Team were. I’m very thankful everything was able to get sorted out even last minute. Thank you!

Rough Stay

Starting from the check in process this was a rough go around. We showed up to the property at 4:00 check in time only to find out we cannot enter the property because there is no door knob/handle. We followed all the instructions for unlocking the door but because there was no door knob we could not enter the property. I tried to explain this to the VACASA or VRBO number I called and she was trying to keep explaining the unlocking procedure. Although we were doing everything correctly I kept trying to explain to her we couldn't enter because there was no door knob. It was cold and a lot of snow outside and we had seniors and children with us. You'd imagine someone would come before guests come to make sure the property is accessible. Someone from the property management team ended up coming around 4:30 to let us in and fix the door knob. We get into the property and all the smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors were missing. The stove didn't work all that great and the dishwasher was missing a rack. It was a roomy cabin and had plenty of bathrooms. The area was nice. I wouldn't mind visiting this neighborhood again but maybe not this property until some things are improved.

Horrible, worse place ever.

This place had aunts all over. In kitchen, in bathrooms, on the sofa, in our bedrooms .. our food got all spoiled. This place didn’t even offer us any compensation either. We tried so hard to get the ants removed, but didn’t work. They didn’t even give us garbage bags.. again this is he worse management.. deceiving.. and they are cheaters Horrible Stay away

Not clean at all.

Garage was full of last visitors' trash. Multiple bags stacked on the floor of the garage. Dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. Dishwasher was missing top rack, bottom rack in pieces. Started dishwasher on arrival and immediately started flooding. Had to purchase disposable plates, cups, utensils. Was not about to hand wash all dishes for a group of 12 all weekend. Also only had very dirty used sponges to wash the dishes. Black mold all over upstairs shower. No one could use that shower the whole trip. Only superficial cleaning done. Carpets dirty, trash under couches upon arrival. Used towel left on back of door. Pots and pans in kitchen very low quality. Most pans warped and peeling. Good location and big place but will not recommended due to low maintenance.Did call management company. Brought more towels to clean the dishwasher mess and more trashbags. Still waiting for reiumbursement for all the disposable things we had to buy for the weekend.

Amazing place

Our stay experience was very good, tgere was a maintenance tech on the phone available to help us when we needed. The kitchen had a Keurig and a regular coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave, .... Overall experience was great.
