Fun for the WHOLE family! This incredible cabin sleeps 16 comfortably, and is minutes from downtown Shaver and a quick drive to China Peak Ski Resort.
The Space:
Lazy Pines is nestled just below downtown Shaver Lake in the Sierra Pines community. Just a few miles away from the lake, this modern log cabin features six bedrooms and four bathrooms, game room with pool table, large deck with plenty of space to BBQ, open concept living space with cozy fireplace, and tons of modern amenities! Located at the end of the road, there is plenty of space to explore in the summer, and a beautiful winter wonderland in the snow season! Play in the snow, sled, and toboggan right from the back french doors! A walking trail right out game room door leads to Musick Creek and Ockenden horse shoe pits and picnic area. Roads are plowed for easy access in any season. A three story cabin, the multiple levels allow you to spread out and relax, with something to do for everyone- kids, teens, and adults! Six bedrooms include one king-sized bed in the primary bedroom with attached bathroom, five queen beds, two twin beds, and two full size beds.
Guest Access
Guests have access to the whole cabin, deck space, and street parking. The garage is short, and could fit a small car or a couple motorcycles, but not an SUV or truck. Additional parking is located just a short walk away. Free WiFi, fresh linens and towels, fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer are available. Guests have access to the community which includes a dumpster for trash, walking trails, and plenty of space in the woods to explore, sled, hike, and rock climb. Guests may use their own streaming sites to watch TV, or use a provided Netflix account. Are you traveling for a church, company, or group retreat? There are other cabins within walking distance to this one available to rent in conjunction. Let us know if you're interested and we'll help you coordinate your group's stay.
Neighborhood
Located right off Tollhouse Road, this cabin is very easy to access in any season. The Sierra Pines neighborhood is a community of large log cabins with modern amenities built in recent years. This cabin is special because it sits at the end of the road, with no other cabin beyond it, providing gorgeous uninterrupted views and easy access to snow trails and adventure right from your back door. Just a few miles south downtown, you're out of the the hustle and bustle during busy weekends, but close enough enjoy restaurants, grocery stores, shops, and watersports with just a quick drive. Even though the roads are plowed, you will need tire chains in the winter.

Getting Around
We suggest using your own vehicle to get around. 4 wheel drive and tire chains are strongly encouraged during winter months, and may be required by California Highway Patrol when there's snow in the forecast.
House Rules
1. Communication is key! Check in after 4pm. Check out by 11am. Our office hours are between 8am-9pm, so please communicate between those hours and let us know if you plan to arrive after 9pm.
2. Honesty is the best policy! Let us know about ALL guests who will be coming to the house. Maximum Occupancy is 16. Pets are NOT allowed because of extreme allergies.
3. No parties! We know this home holds a lot of people, but we still request that you respect it as if it's your own. No smoking of any kind. Removal of smoke detectors is illegal. Loud music, excessive rowdiness, excessive drinking, smoking, etc. will result in a $1,000 party fine. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am.
4. Be respectful! When using outdoor areas (patio, bbq, etc.), and provided amenities, please clean up after yourself so the next guests can enjoy them as well. If something is wrong, low, or out, please let us know so we can fix it.
5. Have fun! Our goal is to host a vacation to remember. If you don't agree with our above rules, this is NOT the house for you, please find a home that better fits your needs and we'll all be happier! With the exception of things out of our control, we'll always do our best to make sure you have the best time!
6. Be a good neighbor! Please don't leave trash outside where it will attract bears and other wild animals. There is a provided dumpster for your convenience. If you're parking on the street, park the correct way and don't block the street or others' garages.
