July 2020 Stay

This condo met all of our expectations. We were very happy with our stay. The balcony is very big and has a great view of the ocean. Very short walk from elevators to the pools and beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice place on the beach

Nice place could use better pillows and provide paper towels and garbage bags and beach items. The pickle ball courts were very nice and the restaurants in the area were good. The beach was very nice the sand is amazing. Went on a party boat fishing was excellent. Nice view from the deck

Beautiful place well decorated. Super friendly host. Few light bulbs were out. Secondary shower wouldn’t drain well. Could never get the main tv in the living room to connect to the cable to watch tv. But the view and furnishings of the place were awesome. We would stay again. Great little bar and grill at the pool and a beautiful beach.

Great location. Unit needs cleaning and better amenities

Tops’l resort is in a great location. Best beach front in the area for guests and residents only. Pool areas were clean and well maintained. Our unit was another story. The carpet was dirty, ice & water did not work on fridge, mattresses, pillows, towels, need upgrading. Better bring extra paper towels, toilet paper, soap, dishwashing, and washer machine detergent. You only get one of each.

The layout of the condo offers options for everyone to gather inside and on the balcony or have privacy in the bedrooms at the other end of the condo. Love the counter space, large fridge and dishwasher in the well stocked kitchen. Lots of storage for those who pack too much. Super comfortable beds, walk in shower and deep jacuzzi tub. To top it off the property manager takes a personal interest in your satisfaction.

San Destin Beach Trip

Bedsheets were dirty on arrival. Needed to wash all of these ourselves. Freezer did not work despite adjusting temperature to “freeze” multiple times. Had to throw away some groceries. Would recommend a new fridge. Lastly, would have appreciated more than just one day of kitchen and bathroom supplies as well as more towels. Check in was easy. Ample parking. Multiple Dolly's available to load and unload luggage. Furniture was up to date in living and dining areas. Location to beach, pool, tennis, and basketball court was excellent. Fantastic view of beach from balcony.

Summer Stay

The check-in process was extremely easy, and we were able to communicate via text. The condo is on the 12th floor and has a decent view of the beach (you have to overlook the building next door) so the 12th floor was good. The unit was clean and well equipped. Be sure to read the guidebook the property management company sends prior to check in. There were a few stains on one of the sofas and the tub had dried paint on it, but for the most part, the condo was great. The balcony is one of the largest I have encountered. You can sit out at certain times of day and enjoy sun or shade. The condo is next to the Hilton Sandestin but there is no way to walk to Seagars for dinner without taking the beach. Some sort of gate to pass through would be nice. There are beach chair rentals, but I would suggest either reserving or getting to the shack early as they fill up fast and they are many rows deep. There is a decent bar/food shack by the pool area that was open from 11-8. Overall, I would rent here again. The guidebook really does tell you everything you need to go before you arrive.

Shower head made loud noises when on and did not disperse water well. Bathroom sink faucet controls need to be fixed. They are very tough to turn. Couch covers had several stains.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Tops'l Tides. This was our 6th trip there in in 7 years, and chances are we will go again in 2023. The area is fantastic, and there is an abundance of things to do. The Tops'l resort is fantastic. This particular condo is nice, but it could use a little TLC. There is some painting that needs to be done. The balcony floor needs to be cleaned. The furniture on the balcony is uncomfortable, and this is a big deal for us. We spend a lot of time on the balcony in the evening enjoying the views, and the breeze. The furniture looks okay, but it is just very uncomfortable for lounging. Also, the carpet in the 2nd bedroom needs to be cleaned, and probably needs replacing. The mattress is getting a little worn, as well. The patio door is difficult to slide, and it also needs painting or cleaning- particularly on the outside. These matters wouldn't prevent me from returning, but it would help justify the rental rate if they were addressed.

Reviewer Comments: We were supposed to stay beach front but had to change units due to first unit still having work done so 1209 was chosen from only about 7 options since only a few weeks before check in. It is a beach view just not beach front. Nicely decorated living room, weirdly small kitchen (all they had to do is move the kitchen island over a foot). Large deck would have been better with a couple of lounge chairs but still a great amenity. Only real complaint was inconvenient outlets by bed for charging devices so they should buy extensions for both sides with built in charging jacks. Could stay there again in a pinch except cleaning as while searching for outlet for charger found a dried half eaten piece of pizza barely under the master bed which made me question the thoroughness of the cleaning service.

Great Place To Stay!

Overall, I loved it! However, if possible, please let renters know if access to in-house beach toys, chairs, and equipment will be permitted. Some owners do this, some do not. It would be nice to know before arrival to property.

Great location and property!

Loved this spacious beautiful property! The large patio was beautiful and the location and beach access was superb! The cafe by the pool was excellent. My only negative comments are pretty minor: tissue boxes would have been nice and you might consider replacing the outlets as they are super loose, especially the ones on the island.
