Francis Creek Retreat, byggd 1881, är ett av de tidigaste husen i den historiska viktorianska byn Ferndale. Förutom att vara bekväma, rena och välutrustade, är vår soliga, två sovrum hem några steg från Main Street. Det är en minuts promenad till stadens fantastiska restauranger, barer, affärer, parken och även boccebanor! Vacker och vild Centerville Beach är en scenisk fem mil bilresa bort. Vi älskar det här huset och är övertygade om att du kommer att njuta av din vistelse i Ferndale.

Utrymmet

Francis Creek House är en bekväm och söt två sovrum, ett badrum (dusch bara) hem med ett stort kök, vardagsrum och matsal. Bistrobordet och propangrill på det stora bakdäcket är bra för att njuta av en solig dag och den lugna atmosfären i Francis Creek, som går bakom huset. Detta hem är en av de äldsta i vår stad, och vi älskar hur du kan se de ursprungliga handgjorda cedarbalkarna i köket.

Huset har wifi hela och kabel-tv i vardagsrummet. Sängarna och mattan är helt nya och inredningen i hemmet är allt nymålad. Vi har on-demand varmvatten och tvångsuppvärmning. Det finns ett tvättstuga med tvättmaskin och torktumlare för din användning. Njut av kaffe från Keurig på morgonen. Köket har krukor och kokkärl och en mataffär ett kvarter bort för frukost hemma, eller gå ut till de lokala kaféerna nerför gatan för en hjärtlig Ferndale frukost.

Francis Creek Retreat är bara några dörrar ner från det största levande upplysta juleträdet, och ett mysigt ställe att titta på Ferndale Lighted Tractor Parade, som passerar vid husdörren varje december!

Perfect stay

I grew up in Ferndale, and this place is nicely sized and perfectly located to explore the town with a small family. The house was comfortable and had great amenities. We will be staying again.

Relaxing retreat

We loved this little house. It was perfect for our book trip weekend. Loved the charm and history. We parked and walked all over. Location is great. Hope to come back and stay here again. Definitely recommend

Loved this cozy home!

We had such a wonderful stay here! The house looks small on the outside but is actually quite roomy and very comfortable. It was impeccably clean, with thoughtful details throughout, comfortable beds, a very well appointed kitchen, and even some toys, which our preschooler loved playing with! We also really appreciated the washer and dryer onsite, which came in handy after getting soaked and muddy on rainy forest hikes. All in all, a great place to stay. Thank you Kathleen!

Perfect Ferndale Getaway

We loved our stay here. The house is in a great location, just a block or two away from the center of Ferndale. We were able to walk less than 5 minutes to all the shopping and dining options in town and return to this homey retreat afterward. The owner was extremely responsive when I had a question, too. We also really appreciated how clean everything was. The owner clearly put a lot of care and upkeep into maintaining the property. It was a real pleasure to stay here.

Very good location. Great value

My friend and I were road-tripping through the area and wanted a clean, quiet and comfortable house to rent that was close to restaurants in Ferndale. This listing delivered. If we could recommend one thing would be a dishwasher.

Excellent home away from home

We enjoyed our stay in this nicely appointed home! Very clean and comfortable, and our hosts provided everything needed for a great stay! Would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Ferndale. Only slight negative is bath could use more lighting but that would not prevent us from staying here again. Highly recommended!!!

Wonderful time in a Fun town

We enjoyed our visit to the town of Ferndale. The house felt like home and was in walking distance to everything. I would recommend this house for anyone looking to stay in a fun Victorian town.

Ferndale Francis creek

This charming farmhouse in Ferndale California was perfect for our visit with family living nearby. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Only a couple miles away from the ocean. We were able to barbecue on the back deck and the kitchen is well appointed.

Ferndale at Halloween

A wonderful farmhouse reminded me of my childhood home. Thank you for all the amenities. The town was especially decked out for Halloween. Fall is the best time to visit north coast

Cute and Convenient!

This little house was just perfect for my family to use. I have two little boys and it was great to have a place where they can play and wind down. This house is located perfectly for walking downtown Ferndale and getting to the beach. We were able to walk to dinner every night and visit the park in the afternoons where the boys loved to play. The house had everything we needed to cook and feel right at home. The boys even had breakfast on the back patio on morning! We can't wait to visit again!

Perfect spot in the heart of Ferndale!

We visit Ferndale regularly, but this was our first time looking for a rental home. We were specifically looking for something with space for our two boys, ages 7 and 10, that was available last minute. This quaint little house has it all. At the quiet end of town (really, though - Ferndale is nothing but quiet!), we loved the ability to walk everywhere yet still be tucked away from it all. Adorably decorated and super cozy - staying in has never been so fun! Whether it was trips to the beach, bbq'ing on the back deck or grabbing ice cream down the street, the Francis Creek Retreat is the place to call home in Ferndale. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need and even those things you may have forgot to pack. The beds were comfy and hard to get out of in the morning, and we loved the regular evening visits of deer. We will be back :)

Such a beautiful quiet town

Coming from the mountains of Colorado, we did not expect Ferndale to be such a quiet place. Other than the dogs barking once, you don’t hear a thing from this cute house. It was the quietest place we have ever been to. The natural environment must absorb all the sounds. You don’t even wake up to any birds singing. Unbelievable how you could sleep until noon if you forget to set an alarm. We loved the town, house location and especially the lost coast road. The local beach was also so beautiful watching the seals pop up from the waves to say hi. We are so thankful we did not stay further north by the national park. We want to come back someday and try more restaurants in town. Only negative on the house is the lack of dishwasher. Adding a small one even in the laundry room would make the home complete. Thanks for the fun stay. The house had everything we needed! Picking the wild blackberries everywhere made the trip even better. We needed one more day to make the fresh berry pie. Next time. Cheers.

Cute Cottage

The cottage is cute, clean and comfortable space for 4 people. It's a very short walk to the restaurants and shops. The owner gave clear instructions on how to access the property, however, the key box was a little tricky to open. We enjoyed our short stay in Ferndale. It's a cute town and the people are super friendly.

Peaceful Town

The house was clean and comfortable. It's a short walk to the classic looking homes. The kitchen cabinets are functional and met my needs, but they are a bit disappointing for a refurbished house. The bathroom sink faucet is missing the flow nozzle, so water sprays in all directions. The kitchen was reasonably stocked with utensils and dishes. Some redneck parked their truck directly in front of he steps to the house even though there were plenty of open spots along the street. Seemed to have been a statement.

Very comfortable, cute cottage in ideal location

Gracious Host

This is a wonderful vacation home. Great location to find walking paths, trip to the ocean or enjoying Main St in Ferndale. Comfortable home, Kathleen has thought of everything one would need for your stay. Her respond time is very quick should you have a question or concern. We had a slight hiccup upon arriving, but Kathleen addressed our concern immediately 5 star experience we look forward to our next visit. Thank you Kathleen!

Family Vacation

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time in Ferndale! The home was clean, orderly, and well stocked. We were very comfortable and enjoyed walking downtown for dinner or ice cream. We'd definitely love to return!
