Welcome to your peaceful retreat in Humboldt Hill! Nestled in a charming wooded neighborhood just 10 minutes from the heart of Eureka, this 3-bedroom, 2-bath open-concept home offers the perfect mix of seclusion and convenience. Step inside and feel instantly at ease as natural light pours in through the windows, highlighting the spacious living area that seamlessly flows into the modern kitchen—ideal for cooking up a feast after a day exploring the stunning redwoods or nearby beaches.

The home's wooded surroundings make it feel like you're tucked away in nature, yet you'll never be far from the local restaurants, shops, and coastal beauty of Eureka. Whether you're relaxing in the cozy living room, enjoying a morning coffee on the deck, or unwinding in one of the comfortable bedrooms, this is the perfect spot to escape and recharge!

There are 3 bedrooms each with a queen bed, clothing storage, or closet. The two bathrooms each have a vanity and shower/tub combo, one of the bathrooms is attached to the primary bedroom. Outside, there is a small wooden deck with chairs to enjoy your morning coffee and afternoon wine, as well as a large private gravel driveway for the little one's in your group to play! We recommend parking in the driveway however, there is a garage with space for 1 car as well as the washer and dryer.

Quiet Getaway Location Close to Redwoods

Property was ideally located for Avenue of Giants, Fern Canyon, and the Redwood Skywalk. Tucked away on the outskirts of Eureka (has everything you need or want).

Nice, quiet place

Very nice house for our family of 4. Quiet neighborhood with easy access to the 101 for everywhere we wanted to go. Would definitely recommend!

cold shower

The primary bathroom shower valve does not work correctly and needs to be reinstalled. No hot water from that shower all other areas have hot water. No water pressure in the main bathroom sink out of either hot or cold. Kitchen has plenty of dishes and silverware but lacks in utensils and no regular size glasses, only wine and juice size glasses. A clock in the bedroom and in the livingroom area would have been nice also.

Sparkling vacation getaway

The home was an exceptionally clean and bright gem tucked away in the trees. The amenities were great and concise, simple instructions were given for everything. Wifi was crazy fast. Wonderful little place! I wish they were all this good!

Redwoods Vacation

We planned our trip to the Redwoods Parks with Eurika relatively central and this worked out great. Over 6 days we went to Humbolt SP, Redwoods NP and Jedadiah SP. The home was comfortable and everything functioned well, it was nice retreat from each day of travel and hiking. We had some concern with safety in the area prior to arriving but when there was in a great location, very safe and secure, good neighborhood. It is out of town just a few miles, enough but not too far. I would stay there again, place was very good and host communications was efficient,(enough but not too much), making check-in and out easy, we've been in some that were very frustrating.

HIllcrest Hideaway

The property was as described. Great location for what we wanted to do. The beds were comfortable. The only issue was, the coffee filters were basket style and the coffee maker used cone style, so the basket filters overflowed and got grounds in the coffee pot. We didn't know this at the time when we went to the store or we would have bought some. Overall the place was great and I would definitely stay there again.

The Hideaway is a Delight!

The location, the comfort and the amenities are all exceptional. Everything you need as well as peace and quiet is included. The house is cozy, comfortable and welcoming. The entire experience went off without a hitch. We actually hated to leave!

Humboldt Hill Hideaway

Never stayed in the Eureka area before, and could not have been more pleased with this rental for a long weekend with family to visit. Home is in a rural residential area, sits high on a hill up a gravel road. And is a quick 5 minute drive to get to local shopping and main road into downtown Eureka. House would not be good for young children as the only play area would be on the driveway, otherwise, a steep drop around house. Interior was small but comfortable for 4 adults with open plan kitchen/dining/living area. Overall, perfect for us!

Location, location, vacation.

Great place for extended stay while on vacation. In between Prairie Creek State Park to the north and Avenue of the Giants to the southeast, and just outside Eureka.
