We had a absolutely amazing weekend trip. Beautiful area, comfortable housing, and just a perfect couples getaway. The host was great to work with and was available to help when we needed. Would recommend and we plan to visit again in the future.

Great location! Great area for hiking, comfortable bed and flat. We were there for a wedding- also had iron and ironing board available. Jean was fantastic- super responsive and was able to check in early to get ready for the events. Great place.

Our stay at the Bungalow in Black Mountain was perfect! The one-room studio was spacious and inviting, and convenient to all the activities, shopping, restaurants and galleries in Black Mountain, ...and just a short drive up to Montreat. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely consider this accommodation when we return to Black Mountain.

What a charming little place in Black Mountain! It was close to everything. The hosts were so sweet to provide homemade cookies, coffee pods for the Keurig, bottled water, and even popcorn for the microwave!It was cozy and perfect! We loved opening the blinds in the morning and seeing all of the fall colors right outside our windows!While we didn't cook in the unit because of our short stay, the kitchen seemed to be well-equipped.The bed was comfortable and the towels were plush.We hope to stay there again on our next visit to Black Mountain.Thanks so much for the hospitality! It was an exceptional little treat of a getaway!

This was our third time staying at Doug and Jeans. We’ve made staying at this property our annual fall tradition. Two adults, one child, one dog. The space is always very clean. They provided all the amenities needed to make coffee and tea. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils. The sheets/linens/blankets/towels are all very clean and fluffy. Jean left a plate of homemade cookies and dog biscuits from the local pet boutique on the table for our arrival. We love looking through the well-thought-out binder provided by Doug and Jean for their favorite dining spots and hiking trails. We really enjoy the neighborhood, especially taking walks with our dog along the babbling brook. The area is very safe. We love catching up with Doug and Jean when we cross paths while coming and going. We can’t wait to come back next fall!

We really enjoyed our stay. Our room had everything we needed and more. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and layout was perfect. The Host added special welcoming touches which was a lovely surprise. The kitchen had everything you need to cook and eat in. The Host was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful area and mountain views. Highly recommend.

As always, this rental is very clean and comfortable with fresh cookies for the guests and specialty dog treats for the fur baby. The owners are very responsive to questions and very helpful. This is the third time we have vacationed there and will gladly stay again if we are in the area!
