This was the perfect getaway!! It was right in town. Felt very private and Kelly was the perfect host. I loved the garden and the interior of the house. I also loved the full kitchen. 10/10 would stay here again

Heart of Southport

This property was the perfect place to stay for a few nights in Southport! Kelly met us at the gate and was lovely! We walked to all the shops, to fish on the piers, and to eat at restaurants. The cottage was very clean and updated. It’s the perfect place to stay when visiting the area! You won’t regret it!

Kelly and Robert are amazing! Kelly answered all of our questions immediately and she was gracious enough to let us check in a day early at a last minute’s notice. The cottage was so cute and sweet. My husband and I felt at home and were very cozy. There was a beautiful welcome basket that included local cheeses and a bottle of wine. They thought of everything! It was very clean and located in a perfect area that is close to the water front and town. Thank you making our stay in Southport so memorable! The pictures below are a 10 minute walk from the cottage.

Great place and location.

We enjoyed our stay and loved the place. The location was great to allow us to enjoy all the Southport Winterfest 2024 events. Place had everything we needed. Would recommend this place to anyone. Check it out!!!

Adorable Weekend Getaway!

Had an absolute fantastic time here this weekend! Very clean, and the perfect space. I would recommend bring some bug stray if you plan to sit outside, but otherwise no complaints! Will definitely be coming back :)

This delightful Southport property is our VRBO favorite! It is perfectly designed for a quiet getaway and located within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and the waterfront. When we need a peaceful getaway to unwind this is our first choice!

Walking distance

Cute cottage walking distance to restaurants, shops and waterfront. Very clean and comfortable and the owner is attentive and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to staying there again when we come back to visit our friends.

Adorable Cottage

The cottage is adorable! The pictures are accurate. Perfect location. Park the car in your private space and walk to the restaurants and shops and swings watching dolphins. Kelly is great to work with. Southport is a gem.

LDW in Southport!

Had a great 2 night stay at Kelly’s cottage! We stayed in Southport for Labor Day weekend and would DEFINITELY book again! Walkable distance to downtown shops/restaurants, a 15-min drive to the beach, private entry and parking! Welcome basket was such a kind touch and we loved little unexpected touches like coffee being in the cabinet and beach towels being provided. This was the perfect little cottage and we’d love to visit again!

Delightful cottage in Southport

We had a lovely time at this charming cottage. The hosts were always available to answer questions (via text) and were extremely helpful. The location was quiet and yet close to restaurants and a quick walk to the main shopping area. The welcome bottle of wine and cheese plate was a wonderful addition and was greatly appreciated after a long travel day from the west coast.

Quaint cottage in the woods close to historical town .

The cottage is lovely and we had everything we needed. The big problem is the long brick walkway leading to the cabin. It is uneven and dangerous day and night. Fortunatly they provided a flashlight.

Excellent property

Three blocks from the beach front an pier. Convenient parking. Host kept us informed the entire time prior to arrival and met us when we arrived. She also suggested local activities throughout our stay. Outside property was private and well kept. Interior was spacious, comfortable, and easy to navigate. Attention was needed to the dust/dirt accumulation under the bed, couch, and some furniture items. We only noticed it after dropping something that rolled under the couch. This raised our awareness. Overall, excellent experience. We would stay again without hesitation.

Kelly and Robert chose Southport, NC as their new home after living and working together in the charter yacht vacation industry in the US Virgin Islands for 20 plus years.  Robert was born and raised in East Lansing, Michigan before moving to Denver, CO and eventually the US Virgin Islands. Kelly grew up in Bernardsville, NJ, then lived in Philadelphia for 10 years before making the USVI her home. The two were married (first marriages for both) in Southport in 2016. 

Captain Robert holds a USCG 100 ton license and is Padi Dive Master. If you would like to go boating for a day...talk to Robert! He works currently as a relief captain on the Bald Head Island Ferry, so he can offer you recommendations about a BHI excursion as well.

Kelly is a Licensed Real Estate Broker with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage in Southport. She also runs a successful real estate investment company, buying and rehabbing historic properties around Southport. If you are interested in looking at any property while you are in the area, Kelly will be happy to show you around!
