Perfect! A great little cottage in a beautiful neighborhood. It’s within an easy walk to the waterfront with its restaurants and music scene. It’s also an easy walk to the Howe Street restaurants and other businesses. We loved Southport, and we could not have been happier with this cottage, its location, and our host.

Great private cottage just steps away from everything in Southport. We only used our car once, to drive to the Bald Head Ferry, over our 3 night stay. Kelly met us when we got there, gave us the run down on everything in the cottage, and was more than happy to provide tips and suggestions for things to do during our stay. Would recommend this place to anyone and would definitely stay here again.

Kelly was an absolute gem of a host! She was so easy to communicate with and responded to questions in a timely manner. She met us at the property and provided information about the property and showed us how to use several of the amenities. The house itself was perfect for my husband and I. There was plenty of space and all of the amenities were easy to use. Everything was very clean and ready for us when we arrived. We traveled to Southport to celebrate our second wedding anniversary and loved every minute of it. We took many of Kelly's recommendations on places to eat and visit and were pleased with all of them. I would recommend anyone who is planning to travel to Southport to stay at the Songbird Cottage. It was wonderful, and we will definitely be staying there the next time we visit!

A great location to walk to most places in town. It was a lovely cottage in the back of the owner’s property with lots of privacy. I felt at home and she left a lovely welcome gift in the frig with wine and cheese snack from a local shop. I will definitely be back.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Birdsong Cottage. I parked my car and then didn't have to worry about for two days. The property is just a couple blocks from downtown and I was able to walk to shops and restaurants. It is very quiet and secluded. The bottle of wine and the charcuterie plate was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend this place.

This was our second lovely stay at the cottage. Kelly is a great hostess and we felt welcome from the moment we arrived! The cottage is clean and cozy- the location is in walking (and biking) distance to all the places we love in Southport. We also enjoyed sitting in the garden area and listening to music from a nearby venue. All in all the perfect way to experience Southport!
