Great location and having the view of the water is great. Knowing the water level starts going down after summer. I should have asked if the dock was still usable ( floating in the water) before I booked. Still Great location!

Great location, views were amazing, the only down fall would be the pictures make it look like the dock & Douglass Lake were easy to get to. They are a little difficult for people who have knee issues. We would definitely visit again

Great Family Vacation!

The cabin was a great place to stay. My kids enjoyed the hot tub and my husband enjoyed fishing in the lake and I loved the view! The ladies working at Fireside Chalets were absolutely amazing and so nice.

Spring Break

The cabin was clean and spacious. We had 6 adults in our party and never felt over crowded. The staff was friendly and quick to respond. The water level was low, therefore we could not enjoy the amenities of the dock or lake. But the hot tub was perfect for relaxing. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. We would stay again.

Quick getaway

The cabin was very private. My husband and I came for a relaxing couple of days and this cabin did not disappoint. Although we did not cook our meals we could have because the cabin had everything to do that. The cabin is far enough away from the crowds but close enough to be in pigeon gorge or gatlinburg quick. We would stay here a gain.

A rainy Easter weekend

It was a great place to hangout and play! The rain kept us from going to Dollywood but we didn’t mind. There was plenty to do inside, great scenery, and much needed down time!

Most amazing view

The cabin was all we hoped it would be: secluded and comfortable. The check-in was all done on line and we received our access code about 20 minutes before we arrived. Everything we needed was here, and grocery store not far. The view of the lake is amazing!

Cabin by the lake

The cabin was nice. There were a few things we had issues with. The direct tv didnt work on the main level but we decided not to call about it. The heat also was not working properly. We did call about that but didnt get a call back for the resolution. Overall it was a nice cabin. Be prepared they only supply basics.

Wonderful Trip! Memories for a lifetime!

Before even stepping foot inside the property, the views from the deck make it all worth it! Once arriving inside, we were met with a beautiful, clean, and well-kept interior. The kids absolutely loved the loft and ladder to the additional 3rd story nook. There were some previous reviews about the cabin not having much but bare minimum, but we had everything we could possibly need. Ubereats even delivers to this area, so that was a huge perk we aren't used to, as cabins are typically too far out.I saw some complaints about the stairs and dock area not being maintained and/or too difficult for small children. My 5 year old ran up and down them all day long, and even with high hopes it would wear him out and he'd take a nap... no such luck. This trip was absolutely wonderful and we will definitely choose this location again! Thank you for providing memories that will last a lifetime!

Great stay with an amazing view of the lake!

We had a great stay at Smoke on the water. Douglas Lake is such a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. This particular cabin is very cozy and has most of the basics you need. The only thing missing from this to be the perfect cabin was wifi and a fire pit for wood burning and smores. Other cabins we have stayed at on Douglas lake have those amminities. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay. Thank you for opening your home to us!

Check in was great. The cabin was amazing.

I would have given the cabin a 5 ⭐ but it was very dusty. The window panes on the top and bottom are full of dust, the ceiling fans are full of dust actually the entire home had a lot of dust which caused two of the people in our party allergies to flare up really bad. Other than that everything was great.

Enjoyed this cabin alot

We stayed here for two weeks and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We relaxed and enjoyed the view. Was out on the dock many days soaking in the sun. Many days using the grill out side. We had an issue with the hotub and the management had someone out the very next morning to fix it. And we enjoyed it the rest of our stay in the hot tub. The cabin is nice and comfy only complaint there is my toddler running over my room in the loft made it sound like he was going to fall through but that's cabins for ya. Every cabin I've stayed at done that

Beautiful spot but needs some attention.

The cabin itself is in a beautiful setting and has a great layout. We did find the cabin in need of a good cleaning as well as the property. There was litter all along the path to the lake and a significant amount of garbage by a very broken fire pit near the dock. Most light fixtures needed new light bulbs, some were down to one working bulb. We woke one morning to no hot water. When we called to report the issues the staff was friendly and they came quickly to repair the water heater.

Cabin was great

Found on VBRO but really registration process was through Fire side chalets. Cabin was clean and everything was nice and enjoyed stay. Location on VBRO was not as listed. I was looking for cabins located on Muddy creek on Douglas to fish and have short boat runs everyday. This was shown as on Muddy creek which is why I rented it. However you do not get the actual address from Fireside chalets until day of check in which was after I paid a non refundable trip. They also don’t provide maps of their cabins on their website that I could find. This cabin was a 20 min boat ride to where I wanted to fish and was just up from Flatt creek near the dam instead of mid lake. Cabin was great and having marked trailer parking was a plus but wouldn’t have booked based upon location.
