Nice little spot

Stayed here for 2 nights over July 4th. It was surprisingly quiet for a holiday weekend. We weren’t in the house much, but it was a good place to shower and sleep. Pretty close to town. Overall a nice home base for adventures in the area.

Great location

This was our first trip to Winter Park, so we didn't know what to expect. Iron Horse was in a great location to access the gondola. Our son was a bit bummed that the pool wasn't operational, but the unit was clean and comfortable--good for a family of 3.

Back to the 70's

If you'd like to go back to the 70's stay here. The unit is pretty dated, everything from the old electric stove to the refrigerator that froze our food to a dishwasher there's no way you can run while you're home - it's sooo loud!

Great location- easy access to the base

Great stay in Winter Park. Ski in and ski out, but map out your ski out carefully. Comfortable sleeping arrangements as listed- queen bed in bedroom, queen murphy bed, and full size pull out couch. Loved being able to come home easily from the slopes for lunch. Enjoyed the hot tub each day after skiing. Easy walk to the base if you aren't skiing. Loved the covered parking. Quick drive to town for more dining options. Communication was quick and easy. Very easy to park and get into the condo.

Could use some basic things

We have stayed at iron horse before and the location is great. But this unit really could use some simple things that would so some pride and respect for the price people are paying to be there that would be very inexpensive. A set of kitchen knives for food prep, a Roku or Google tv to let people stream, a set of glasses of reasonable size. It doesn’t take much to make a guest feel comfortable but this place felt like no one cared. If I was the property manager I would make the owner invest a small amount. As a vrbo owner ourselves we understand value and this was just thoughtless.

Relaxing weekday trip

The unit is very clean and accommodating. Proximity and access to mountain is great. I love this building and the unit was also wonderful. Would stay again and recommend.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Incredible location for ski in/ski out. Great ski storage, hot tubs, exercise room, and pool. On-site massage therapy company was a major plus too, as was garage parking. The suite was fine. It could use some upgrades eventually, but it was warm and everything functioned well. Lights from the complex outside were a little bright at night, but otherwise, great property. Murphy bed worked well.

Wonderful property, unit needs help

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Iron Horse property is very nice. The public spaces are very welcoming and nicely maintained. Just an FYI - there is no staff on site. This is not an issue necessarily, there’s just no one at the desk to ask questions about the area. Check in and check out was very easy. We did have some issues with the actual unit - C 2103. Kate from the management company was very friendly and helpful. It was very warm the day we got there and only one window opened. She had a maintenance guy out that evening to help us. If you are a warm person, this may not be the unit for you. There is not much breeze and does not cool down much at night - no A/C. Fans are provided, so does help.The ice machine in the fridge doesn’t work - ice cube trays provided but no ice machine on site. So if you need ice that first night - stop in town and pick some up.The toilet was an issue. It didn’t always want to flush. I was told they would look into it and it should be fixed for the next renters. Overall our start was good. That unit was still a fairly good value for the area.

This is a great location. It is a bit dated as you can see in the pictures, but it was clean and the management was very helpful when we had questions. Overall I’d recommend!

Great ski location

Iron Horse is a great base for skiing Winter Park/Mary Jane. The building is older but very quiet and has everything you need to enjoy the mountain. Garage is heated and the building is a short drive to Winter Park base or town.

Perfect location for a fun ski weekend!

This was a perfect place to stay to have underground parking and direct ski access. There is plenty of space and have great extra amenities. Very clean and the owner was extremely friendly and helpful.

Nice Location

We loved the ski in/ski out location on the mountain, with access via the trail Mary Jane, to the Corridor. The ski lockers, available to store our skis, was right at the entrance to the ski bridge that accesses the ski run. We enjoyed not carrying our skis back and forth. Once we realized where the Iron Horse Resort was located, in comparison to the Village,it was easy getting around. I have to say, we did arrive when it was dark and snowing heavily, it was hard to identify exactly were we were.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A dated unit in an older building, hence the lower price than some, I.e. you get what you pay for. Clean and equipment ok, the experience would be much improved by a new mattress as others have said. For $200 this issue goes away, I don’t get it ... as it stands the bed is close to unusable for 2 people. Ski in / out is stretching it a bit .... You gotta hike a little but overall the location is good and close to the base. The place is like fort knocks,to get around you have to put in a 11 digit code even when in the building which feels like overkill (I.e. when going to the hot tub).

You can't beat the Iron Horse for ski in / ski out. The condo is clean and well stocked.
