Great space for our family, our sons are married and with kids, so everyone always wants the king bed. This vacation home had 3, which is why we booked it. We had an awesome vacation, the home was lovely. We have visited this community in previous years, its a great place!

Beautiful Home!

This was our first big family trip and A-Wave-Away was the perfect home for our stay. We had 14 of us and there was plenty of room for everyone. This home had everything we needed and more. Just steps from a big beautiful pool that the kids loved more than the beach! Communication with the property manager was quick and wonderful. We so enjoyed our time here. We hope to be back again someday.

Overall the property was great. The pool/Hot tub were exactly as described and the property location is perfect for whatever activities you want todo. The house is definitely showing some wear and tear from visitors.

Easy check in and check out. A pretty far walk to the public beach. It is advertised as a 9 minute walk but that is to a private beach. The beach shuttle is great but only runs 10-12 and 1-5.

Great stay

Property wasn’t too far from beach or from shops. It was clean and had plenty of space. Management was quick to reply to questions and very respectful. I would have no problem staying here again.

Underwhelming

The location of the property was nice; however, the reviews and pictures were VERY misleading. All the furniture is very dated and some covered and the coverings dirty. The floors were filthy and the carpets appeared to have NEVER been cleaned. The amenities suggest a kids play ground and a lazy river. None of these existed. The ice maker/water on the refrigerator didn't work. The refrigerator wasn't cold at all. When I called to report it I was questioned if it was full. I sent a picture showing a barely full refrigerator which shouldn't have been a question. They sent someone the next day to look at it. The washing machine made such horrible shaking noises that we thought it was going to explode. This was my 17th year coming to this area and I will not book this residence again. Very misleading the entire resort could do well with upgrades on the entire property.

Destin get away

The property was just as described. House was clean, beds were comfortable, location was great with stores, restaurants, beaches, outlet mall less then 15 mins away. Would stay at this location again.

House needs updated and accessible

Property needs to be updated and a handicapped accessible bathroom on the first floor. The bathroom on the first floor should have a walk in shower instead of a high tub and shower unit. Elderly person’s cannot get into the unit to take a shower. Also, they cannot walk up to the second floor to access the walk in shower. The home needs to have carpet steamed cleaned or removed! Downstairs furniture needs replaced preferably with a stain resistant material (leather). Property pool area was very nice but the beach is a little far.

The house was very spacious and could accommodate our large group of 12. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes. However, upon arrival, we noticed that the floors were a bit dirty. We did see a few pat here and there but overall we had a good stay and would stay again

Loved it!!!

The house is large enough for my family of 11. Only a short walk from Crystals Beach (15 minutes or so) or take advantage of the shuttle service and you’re there in no time . Kitchen is well stocked and the kids loved the community pool. All in all a great property!!

Great week for 3 families!

We had a group of 14 and had a ton of room! The house is in a good location. We loved the pool and shuttle service to the beach, but wished it went later than 4:30. We were also surprised the house didn’t have an outside hose to prevent tracking sand inside.

Joint Family Vacation

We rented this house with some friends and we had family come in from Louisiana. The kids had the entire 3rd floor to themselves. It was a dream! The beach pickup/drop off was easy to arrange and the beaches are gorgeous!
