It was hot when we stayed and its living room is probably not the ideal house if its above 80 degrees. But its an absolutely perfect location and everything is within walking distance! The views from the deck and living room are amazing. We loved it!!

The view from the property was amazing!! It was so nice to be able to be so close to the beach. The only thing was that it was extremely hot and the small, one vent AC that was in the kitchen did not cool the house off. I had to sleep on the couch in the front room in order to have it semi cool. The bedrooms were scorching hot. We used all the fans that were available and we were still sweating while in the house. I think it was just a fluke that it was so hot mid October. Everything else was great!!!

Thanks Paul and Kathi. I see you discovered how great our location is! Yes you can easily walk to town in 4 minutes, the beautiful community park in 1 minute and the pier in 8 minutes. It's great not to have to take the car out and find parking. See you next year!

The GOAT (greatest of all time)

This was by far the best Vrbo I've ever stayed in. The view was amazing, the unit was so cozy and quaint. It really felt like home. And Victoria, the owner, was absolutely wonderful. If you're planning a beach vaca you have to stay here.

Great place

Casa Azul was a wonderful place that was made better by the kindness and generosity of the owner Victoria. We would highly recommend this rental property. The location was excellent and the unit was comfortable for our family of four. Thank you!

My best friend and I spent nearly a week in this eclectic, late 1960s era apartment with a magnificent view and great, walkable, location. It's a bit quirky, in a way that made us feel like we were privileged to stay in a friend's family beach getaway. It wasn't a 5-star glamorous resort, but it was tidy, comfortable, and led to massive amounts of girl talk, unleashed creative genius, and memorable watercolor miniatures.

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful experience at this upstairs apartment with our two kids. The view was amazing. We loved going to the park and beach every day. The beds were comfortable. Victoria was so friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to come back.

Lovely Beach Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Azul because of the beautiful view of the ocean, the surrounding area and the quiet neighborhood. We had a close walk down hill to the beach and to the pier. The owner, Victoria gave us clear check-in and out instructions and made herself available. She was very generous with our 8lb Shi Tzu who also loved the downstairs patio to play on. All in all it was a wonderful place to stay and we will definately be back!

San Clemente vacay

Casa Azul was such a great place for our CA getaway. It is a short walk down to the beach/trail and quick walk to town. We loved it! So comfortable with great views toward the ocean and park. Photos show exactly what you will get when you walk in the door... very homey. Victoria was wonderful to work with. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. (Just an fyi for families with small children: this unit is upstairs. It may be inconvenient for transporting toys, etc.)We would love to go back!

Great Place

Excellent stay, property exactly as described. Perfect walking location to the pier and downtown with excellent view. Loved watching the sunsets from the living room. Playground right across the street for kids. Well appointed with everything we needed. Its an older property but a great price for the area. Has a small ac/heater in living room so bedrooms could get a little cold or warm so plan accordingly. Hope to stay again!

Nice place

We enjoyed our stay, the property is dated and the kitchen supplies need a refresh. The location and proximity to the beach and town are awesome. It all went south when we got home and received a rude message from the property owner. At the time of booking I accidentally listed only two people would be staying in the property, this was an accident the trip was always a family vacation. We had no intention of being untruthful. In addition after receiving the message went back into VBRO to see if addition guest ls changed the price - we have paid her the difference if it did, it was an accident. The owner also didn’t like how we left the towels, there were no instructions so I left them in a pile. The whole exchange was disappointing as we would have stayed there again.

Dear Kelly, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at the casa. You booked in January and had texted me 16 times before you arrived July 8th, mostly about Tommy Bahama beach chairs but never about two grown teenagers. You have been on VRBO for several years and yet you forgot to add two more family members who would be coming on your trip. This is what confused me about the seven wet towels on the floor, how could two adults leave seven towels on the floor? I then found out from the guests downstairs who have been coming to the casa to stay a week every summer for 21yrs, (it's not a typo) that there had been two teenagers upstairs with you. That explains why there were seven towels on the floor! I really don't care if there are towels on the floor after guests leave.... I do care if guests sign "Kelly and Joe" but don't mention their teenagers....

What a wonderful and relaxing stay we had! So close to the beach, just a short walk down the street and past a park with picnic benches and a playground. Our kids played in the ocean every day and even though they are teenagers I'm glad there were two lifeguards on duty. This property is close to the pier, with food, ice cream and a souvenir type shop. At the pier, you can jump on the red line that will take you to the nearby outlet mall for free! There was also a green line but I'm not sure where that one goes. If you like deep dish pizza, definitely try Gilbroni's Detroit style pizza place. It was the best pizza I have ever had. The property was very clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable too. I would say they ranged from medium to firm so we all found a bed that was comfortable to each of us. My favorite part was going to bed to the sound of the waves coming into shore. We will definitely try to stay here again. This was our favorite CA beach rental so far and the host is awesome! She was helpful and always responded to our questions

Awesome beach getaway in a fantastic location!

My husband, teenage children and I stayed at this property over the Christmas holiday, and we absolutely loved our time there! Victoria, the property owner, was wonderful to work with during our entire stay and even proactively communicated with us a week prior to our trip (as a winter storm was approaching that threatened to delay our travel). We were thrilled to arrive at this wonderful property. We loved the town of San Clemente with all of its delightful shops and great restaurants, which were easily accessed with a short walk from the property. We stayed in the upper level of the duplex and the ocean views from the large windows and deck were amazing! There is a path behind the property that connects to a short walk down the hill to the beach that we walked multiple times during our stay. The cute downtown main street, pier and beach are all just a short walk from this property! We loved walking along the beach path as well. My husband and son were thrilled to be able to surf at this break and at other good surf breaks close by. The unit was clean, so comfortable and just as pictured on the listing. We took day trips to the surrounding beach towns and loved how much there was to do so close to this area. This was truly one of our favorite family vacations and we would be thrilled to return another time!

The condo has a beautiful view and it's a great location. Master bed was comfortable, and we appreciated the beach towels and chairs. There was no paper with information in the condo and we never found a remote for the living room AC (during a heatwave, no response from Host). The master was tolerable at night with multiple fans going, but the living room was tough. There is no way to lock the front door separately from the keyless entry. Check-in: Upon booking, I disclosed we'd likely arrive after midnight and asked how that would work with entry. Weeks later after final deposits, the Host responded with a lot of pushback and would not give any info about late checkin. After multiple panicked calls to Vrbo the day of, not knowing how we would get into the property, we finally got entry info as our plane was landing. ***NO WIFI***: When we got the entry info, we were told there was no wifi. Host did not respond to follow up questions. We figured out there is a wifi network (TV was connected to it) but we had no password. We had to buy cords and converters to connect laptops direct to the modem. I had one bar of cell service (beware if you are AT&T) and could only get calls out when in a corner of the master bedroom.

Very comfy, clean Property. Beautiful beach view! There was an issue that we advised the owner about and they arrived to fix it very quickly. They even compensated us for the hassle. Very nice and accommodating owner. Loved it!
