However, our stay was not what we hoped for. The cabin was not as clean as expected â we found moths and insects in the cabinets and bedding, dirt on the floors and shower, and dishes that needed rewashing before use.The check-in process requires about an hour-long phone walkthrough with the owner, which felt excessive after traveling. During the stay, communication continued frequently, which became intrusive rather than helpful. Amenities were also disappointing: the shower only allowed about 10 minutes of hot water, and hot tub use was restricted to 15â20 minutes per day due to the chemicals used.Checkout created the biggest issues. Although the cabin is located in Central Time and the clocks reflect that, guests are expected to leave by 11 a.m. Eastern. We departed at 11:15 Central, then received calls shortly after with complaints about minor issues, including a small water spill and a few cigarette butts in the fire pit. The tone of these conversations was unprofessional and left us feeling uncomfortable.While the property itself has potential, the management style made our experience stressful rather than relaxing.
