We had an excellent stay overall. The home was clean and well stocked with just about everything that we needed. The only critique that we have is that the owner locks all of the thermostats and it was over 80 degrees in some of the bedrooms at night. For the price we’re paying, this should not be a concern.

Thank you for staying with us! We’re so glad you had an excellent stay overall and found the home clean, well stocked, and comfortable. As is common in our mountain climate, we provide plenty of extra fans as well as instructions for cooling the home during warmer summer weather, including opening windows in the evening and overnight to take advantage of the significantly cooler nighttime temperatures. We appreciate your feedback and are glad you otherwise enjoyed your stay!

This is a beautiful home! We were in town to celebrate my daughter‘s wedding. She got married, not too far from the house, at the Riverbend Ranch. The house was perfect. We loved the views and spent a great deal of time in the backyard. Such a beautiful home.

Beautiful place. Very roomy and comfortable. The upstairs rooms had heaters that came on at times making it too warm, as it was June, and we couldn’t find a control for them. We let the owner know. The river was beautiful and we really enjoyed it. The hot tub , ping pong, and horse shoes were great too. Overall a great time and I’d recommend it to others.

Unfortunately 2 of the 5 bedrooms have zero air conditioning vents and the temperature in those two rooms was between 81-89. It took two days to get the management company to admit this and then they ghosted us when we said it’s not acceptable. Fans did little to nothing in August with high temps, however a portable air conditioner (Dyson) would have allowed people to sleep. The heat was on when we checked-in, which added to the problem. The house and yard was beautiful, so it’s disappointing that the stay was so uncomfortable for our family. The listing should be updated to emphasize this issue mid-summer.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We do want to clarify several points for future guests. The home does have air conditioning, and fans are provided to assist with air circulation throughout the property. We provide guests with the available means to help manage temperatures, although we cannot control outdoor temperatures or guarantee a specific temperature in every individual room during periods of extreme summer heat. Regarding the statement that the heat was on at check-in, the heating system would not have been operating as part of the home's normal cooling setup during your stay. We also want to clarify that our team did not “ghost” you. Your concerns were communicated to our team, and we responded and worked to identify the temperature issue during your stay. We believe the property is accurately represented and equipped with the systems and fans available to help manage temperatures throughout the home.

This home was perfect for our extended family of 14 from ages 6 to 85! You couldn't find a more beautiful setting ... a flowing river on one side - which is the most relaxing sound - and a gorgeous creek on the other side... mountains in the distance. Our older kids spent time in the creek hanging out as well as playing horseshoes in the yard. We all enjoyed sitting in the backyard every night and looking at all the stars. The inside of the home was amazing. This is our first trip that each bedroom was quiet from the rest of the house - no one was woken up by people in the kitchen or great room. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you could actually need. All the extras were sooo nice too - kleenex, makeup remover, etc. We were close to town and were in a great location! I HIGHLY recommend this house!

This property was beautiful. Some details around the house need some TLC and updated hardware but our geoup of 18 loved our stay. We had a winter wonderland of a weekend and would definitely come back.

My family and I had a fantastic visit- the house was immaculate and was equipped with everything we needed. The property with its woods and creeks allowed us to access nature within a few steps - 10/10 recommend!!

Great cabin for larger group

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip here. The host had most everything you could need or want on standby. There were several things we forgot at the store that were available in the home when we arrived. The views were breathtaking and we made memories we won’t forget.

Family Gathering

We had a great time here, the property was roomy and very comfortable. We loved that there was plenty of room for the family to get together and eat at the same table and eat and there were multiple TV’s so everyone could find something they like for entertainment.

house was great for our 5 families with kids that stayed. property manager was very responsive and house was even decorated for Christmas which the kids loved.

Family Reunion

We had 4 families from 4 states gather here for a family reunion. It was a wonderful space for children, adults, and grandparents. The setting is beautiful, and conveniently located for all kinds of outdoor activities.

This home and property were perfect for our entire family celebrating a grandparent’s milestone birthday. As outdoor enthusiasts, we greatly appreciated dinners at one continuous table on the deck, the garage and bike space, and especially coming home to the yard and Hermosa creek each day. From the time we drove the driveway coming into the property, to seeing the inside spaces and discovering so many well thought out and appreciated touches (pack and play, crib in master closet, indoor and outdoor games, kitchen furnishings, two refrigerators, laundry, etc.), and loving the backyard privacy and creek access, we could focus on family fun. Great place and great location!
