Fredricksburg Getaway

Property was excellent for a couple wanting to get away. Cozy and everything we needed. The only downfall was that we had to buy a 89.00 subscription to watch regular or live TV.

Amazing Property

Beautiful historic single home. One of the best VRBOs we have ever rented - authentic Fredericksburg! Short walk to Main Street with wonderful shops, tasting rooms and restaurants. A must if you visit.

Lovely step back into central Texas of yesterday. Beautiful home just like the photos! Cozy without feeling at all cramped. Nicely appointed amenities, lacking in nothing. Only suggestions: install shower head that provides more pressure, mention to cleaning folks to clean rim of toilet bowl. Also Adams is a very busy street in the mornings so somewhat noisy. Overall a wonderful place to stay—will be back!

Great Location while in Fredericksburg

It was a very unique property and the location was great. We found that the kitchen wasn’t well appointed for much cooking. The hot tub cover is in need of replacement. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Good location?

The house was just as described. We loved the uniqueness and history of the home. The location is good but the traffic and noise of traffic (a lot of commercial trucks) was bothersome. The hot tub was not clean. It “looked” clean but was slimy and slippery and smelled like pond water. The next day I developed an “unexplainable rash” per the Urgent Care doctor. Of course not sure of the cause of rash but very suspicious of the hot tub. Several comments were made by previous guests about “all the little touches” that were so nice. I don't know of any special touches on our visit. The quilt on the bed had an OBVIOUS tear/hole in it. For that price point and competition in the area, replace the quilt! Also, there was poor water pressure in shower. Other sinks had plenty. We still enjoyed our stay, celebrating our 46th wedding anniversary.

Cool in the heat of summer.

We love the historical older home! It was clean and comfortable. It felt so good returning to it after a day in the heat of summer. A/C is welcoming and appreciated.

Perfection

This property is in a prime location in Fredericksburg. Close to everything and a comfortable walk to main st. Traffic noise is close, but not a negative. House is tastefully decorated and a truly authentic representation of a pioneer limestone dwelling. When in Fredericksburg - stay here!

LOVED LOVED LOVED!!!

This is such a charming and beautiful home!! Every detail was carefully thought out and the decor was well appointed. It was a truly great place to stay with close proximity to the Main Square. Hot Tub was so nice to come back to for a relaxing evening with some cocktails and we enjoyed sitting around the firepit as well! We'll definitely plan a return trip..........almost hated to give a great review because now the secret will be out :-)

Suggestions

We just have a couple of suggestions for the owners. First, the shower water pressure is very low. It looks like the shower head needs to be replaced or scrubbed really well as it is rather corroded. Second, the coffee maker seems to have a problem. It is very, very slow to make a pot of coffee. Other than those 2 items we loved this house & would definitely stay here again. It is very convenient & within walking distance to restaurants & shopping. Thank you for a wonderful three night stay!

Cozy cabin

Very cozy cabin and nice stay. Only negative comment is that the doors are not sealed well. It was in the 20s for our stay so it was quite chilly in the living area.needs new weather stripping!! The fireplace was nice though!!

Excellent Fredericksburg Experience

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this charming cozy cottage. It's convenient to everything and we love not being in a location on Main Street to listen to the heavy traffic all the time. It was nice relaxing in the hot tub for two each evening after wine tastings. My husband told me he didn't know the thread count of the sheets & pillowcases but he loved the softness. I thought our bamboo sheets were soft but nothing like these at all. I'm looking into buying some.

Cozy Home for getaway

My husband and I planned a getaway weekend to Texas wine country. We wanted walking distance to Main Street and got just that. The home is excellent in decor and cleanliness. We would have enjoyed a television in the bedroom but we made it work with our iPad. The whole process of booking along with getting answers to questions along the way went very well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for such a pleasant place to rest and refresh! I especially loved the front porch with the rockers in the morning while reading and sipping my coffee.

Just off of Main St.

Absolutely a charming house with a great location, just 2 blocks from Main street. Lived the easy access to the shops and activities. House was well organized, clean, and well equipped for our vacation needs. The hot tub was an added bonus. The backyard was smaller than expected for our dogs, but not a major issue. We would recommend this home to any traveler visiting Fredricksburg. Fair warning, Fredricksburg business and restaurants have different operating hours on Mon through Wed...weekends have more to offer than during the week.

Beautiful Historical Home

Very comfortable home with modernization as well as maintaining it's historical appearance. The decor and trim is beautiful! We loved the stone walls, high ceilings and cool floors after a hot day outside, especially for our dogs. We appreciate being able to bring our pets and how friendly Fredericksburg is to dogs. For future guests with pets: you will need to walk them on a leash as the back fenced area is very small. The other Haus on the property has a bigger fenced area. This was fine for us this time since it was too hot to leave the dogs out or for us to use the hot tub.

Amazing!!

Harry's House is a unique piece of property. From the second you walk in the door you can see the detail that was put into this home. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you never thought you would need. The master bedroom and bathroom were perfect. All the linens in the home were plush and cozy, which made for a greats night sleep. Being able to walk outside and see deer, sheep and other animals was a pleasant surprise. I also made friends with Indy. I highly recommend Harry's House. I can't wait to spend another night here.

The home was very comfortable, and spacious. Absolutely loved the hill country vibe. The only thing that caused pause was the landscaping curb appeal. Basically couldn’t see house from the street due to the overgrown shrubs. We almost didn’t get out of the car. I get it’s “rustic” I assume that’s the aesthetic, but other old homes have manicured lawns. The hot tub was warm, but not inviting due to many leaves in it, we did not use it. But overall we would stay again, but would take these items into consideration. Beautiful home, and excellent communication with property managers!

Great spot, close to Main Street

This older home was nice and cozy. It was close to Main Street, and we enjoyed our stay very much. The only negatives were the strong ash smell from fireplace and some of the dishes were dirty, and had to be washed before we used them.

Wow. We loved the house and the location. We stay at a lot of VRBO places and most are lacking enough towels, throw blankets for the sofa, etc
