The special farmhouse

Our stay at the little farm house was so very special. It was secluded but a close drive to the neighboring town of Sparta. The hosts had furnished the home with everything needed for staying a week in the home. It exceeded all our expectations and we will return for a stay next year. We highly recommend this property!

Promises Kept

Promises Kept is the perfect way to describe our stay here! This trip was our second visit to the Sparta area. PK privacy and seclusion was excellent, being 2 miles from a busy highway was a plus. Three of the four nights, we were rewarded with evening meal visits by two of the local's (two young deer) that explored the yard and treats available! They both knew they were being watched--their ears perked up and posed for a couple of pictures!!The convenience of Stone Mountain and access to the Blue Ridge Parkway was a plus. albeit the parkway resurfacing and some closures and detours for access! The residence was perfect and equipped with everything we needed! We will return to PK!

Good stay

We enjoyed the farm house. Everything was great. We stayed there a week and with kids we went through a lot trash lol. I contacted the owner and he asked if we could take it to the land fields.That’s the only thing that was aggravating. We didn’t get a chance to take it off and you have to be local other wise you have to pay. I would suggest that they put one of the big black trash cans outside, that way others can put their trash in that. Some people may not have trucks too. Overall we would stay there again though.

Weekend Getaway

We booked the farmhouse for a weekend getaway to a wedding we were attending. It was the perfect little place for our family! We loved the farmhouse decor and the description online was accurate! The owners were very easy and accessible to communicate with! We had no issues checking in or out and the property is easily accessible! We would definitely stay here again if we’re ever in the the area again!!

Amazing stay

Trout fishing get away

My brother, father and I took a trip up here for some trout fishing, relaxation and quality time together. This was the perfect house to come back to for chilling out after a long day on the river. The owner was fantastic leading up to the time of our stay and after as well. Tons of wildlife around the house and in the area. The home was very clean and neat. The owners instructions were very clear and easy to follow with the "functions" of the house. I would definately recommend this home for a single family, self trip or friends to just come together.

Pleasant surprises

Nice stay not too far from town. My 3-year-old daughter quickly found the toys and dubbed them all, "Cool!" I saw the height of the bathroom sink and groaned about not bringing her step stool; then I discovered one in the mud room which made the stay so much easier. The house was very clean, but I was relieved to see a broom/dustpan and other cleaning supplies to take care of her messes. We enjoyed seeing the bunnies most mornings and evenings. While the older home is charming, the limited electrical outlets was challenging when positioning a medical device. On really hot days the air conditioner had trouble cooling the bedrooms sufficiently. We enjoyed our time and would return.

Promises Kept

This is a lovely farm home in the country. The location is ideal for those who love NC’s natural beauty. 10 mins away is the Blue Ridge Parkway and 20 mins to Stone Mountain. We have stayed here before and returned this weekend, with hopefully many more to come. You will not need a thing. The host provides all the comforts of home. Thank you!

Family time

We unfortunately had awful weather for April but it allowed us to spend more time together at Promise Kept! We felt very comfortable and cozy in the house that provided all the comforts of home! The electric fireplace added warmth and ambiance while we played Monopoly and read books. If you have some time, read the owner Fabio’s book about growing up in Cuba and immigrating to the US- it was a great read! We loved how close it was to the Blue Ridge Parkway and were able to explore Sparta and Galax. Thank you so much for sharing Promise Kept with us.

Promises Kept Farmhouse

This is such a sweet and lovely property. The host, Fabio, was very responsive during the booking process. This was an excellent experience for out very first time using VRbo. Not a thing was needed. Fall Getaway in N C Mountains

Nice location only a few miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway where the fall leaves were in full bright colors. Located in Sparta for shopping, and eating. Property was very reasonable in price and owner continues to bring the old property up to modern day needs. Bed in master room very comfortable and the electric fireplace added much charm.

Serene Country Getaway

The house is just as pictured, and is perfectly clean, well-organized, and well stocked with all dishes, cookware, etc. that you need. There are surprisingly ample things to do around the area, and the hosts provides a detailed list when you book. The house is so cozy and the surroundings so ample and beautiful, though, that if your plan is just to stick around, it's perfect for that too. There's even a horse on an adjacent property that comes to the fence, and you can pet it, feed it carrots, etc. Awesome place and very reasonably priced; highly recommend! (Only 1 thing I found slightly frustrating, in case host reads this -- having some Keurig pods (or similar) available would be a welcoming touch. I didn't notice there were none until after I came back from the grocery store; I assumed they'd be included, as coffee usually is with vacation rental homes, in my experience.)

Lovely Farmhouse

The farmhouse was a perfect spring break get away. The house was clean and decorated so lovely. Close enough to downtown Sparta but still had all the farmhouse feels. We enjoyed exploring the area.

My wife and I are both life-long educators who live in North Carolina. We have seven children. We have always dreamt of owning a house in the mountains.

Varför värden valde detta boende

In October 1997 Tere and I met on a church-group weekend pilgrimage to the Stone Mountain, Georgia area. Though we did not get married until two years later, we continued over the years to visit Stone Mountain with our children. After over a decade in North Carolina, we started looking for a vacation property and found this sweet farmhouse which sits near the Blue Ridge Parkway and just north of Stone Mountain, North Carolina. The connection felt like a blessing and a promise kept by the Lord.

It’s our hope that the days you share here at Promise Kept Farmhouse be a time of healing and restoration. And we hope you share your journey with us in these pages.
