Vår stuga ligger mindre än 1 kilometer till ingången till Stone Mountain State Park där du hittar magnifika vattenfall, historiska landmärken, vandringsleder, bergsklättring och mycket, mycket mer!

Tänk dig detta ... du sitter på verandan på en vacker timmerstuga, njuter av den svala, friska bergsluften. Nu ... ser ut nedan och du kommer att se en 70 mil panoramautsikt med varje nyans av färgen grönt utspridda över ett stort skog dalen och tids mjuknat bergen. Vita moln hänger som dollops maräng i Carolina blå himmel. (Fortsättning nedan)

Nu ... ser österut och du kommer att se Pilot Mountain ("Mt. Pilot "som det hänvisas till på den berömda Andy Griffith TV-show). Och på en klar dag kan du se de höga byggnader i centrala Winston Salem, NC, över 50 miles away!

Och på natten ... Wow ... de tindrande ljus natt i dalen är hisnande och sååå romantiskt!

Naturlig skönhet storleken är så inspirerande och en riktig fest för alla sinnen ... det ger näring åt själen.

Det kommer att vara lika magnifik när Höstlöv måla den röd, koppar, brons och guld; när vintern snö filtar det med en gnistrande lager av socker vitt, och när våren skott, knoppar och blommor dränka den i ett hav av Lacy pastell skum.

Breathtaking view

It was beautiful! Breathtaking view. Loved the hot tub! Internet was good and everything worked great. The microwave and toaster oven were upgraded since the pics so that was nice! The bed was a little small and not super comfy and we ran out of paper towels and hand soap (I brought some though so it wasn’t a big deal)But overall a wonderful stay! Really quaint and cute. Loved it!

Sweet scenic spot!

Beautiful views, quaint, quiet cabin with all the amenities. Enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and the state park is beautiful for hiking.

Spectacular Sunrise!

This beautiful little cabin is perfect for a couples getaway. We celebrated my birthday by watching the best birthday sunrise of my life from the cozy front porch rockers. The weather was cold and windy so we didn’t use the hot tub or the fire pit, but they would be wonderful amenities in better weather. The indoor fireplace kept us warm and cozy. This cabin is in a peaceful, secluded area yet very close to SMSP. We hiked to the waterfalls and trout streams within the state park. Note that there are three cabins on this property with plenty of space between cabins. Parking is tight especially for large vehicles. It’s a 20-30 minute drive to major grocery stores and restaurants, so come prepared. There is a small general store close by. We did see a few stink bugs inside but also saw evidence that the owners are actively addressing the problem to the best of their ability. Overall, this is a wonderful little cozy cabin and we hope to come back again!

Great as always!

My wife and I come to this specific cabin every year! If you want a peaceful, fun getaway then I highly recommend. If you want luxury and high maintenance then this is not for you. Be prepared to enjoy a getaway outside of normal city living! Stone Mountain has amazing hiking trails and overlooks to make an awesome day and to return back to a great cabin with exceptional views while relaxing in the hot tub! Thanks again for a great stay!

Good for short trip

The cabin was tidy when we arrived, smaller than expected but ok. The cabin felt outdated but still functional. Area was great, very secluded with just the 3 cabins so nice and peaceful. The hot tub was the shining star of this property as well as the view. Make sure you read the entire listing as I was not aware the bed is only full size until we arrived. We wish the weather would have been better as there is not much to do in the area aside from the State Park. There was no direct communications with the hosts which was not any issue, when we arrived there were policy and instructional sheets in the cabin that gave us everything we needed. Overall would recommend, but would suggest to not have more than 2 people staying as cabin 1 was not too spacious. Thank you to the hosts for a nice weekend getaway!

Parking was a little tight

Everything was good - lots of little stink bugs u believe they’re called but based on location normal. Just vacuumed them all up. The parking was tight so if you got a big SUV / truck it can be a little tight.

Can't beat the view!!

We loved our Thanksgiving stay in this cabin. The view is incredible and we loved sitting out on the deck (though it was cold!). Short drive to Stone Mtn. state park which has great hiking/trails, waterfalls and of course, the mountain :) The cabin had everything we needed and the hosts were great - great communication, clear instructions on access, etc. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Very Relaxing!

My husband and I stayed here on our way down from Cleveland to the beach in South Carolina. We love the Yadkin Valley region and wanted to hike Stone Mountain so this was the perfect place - being just down the road! The cabin was perfect, clean, and had a beautiful view from the porch and hot tub. One morning, after a heavy storm we enjoyed watching roll in from the rocking chairs on the porch the evening before, we awoke to a breathtaking scene of mountains and hills in the distance draped in fog and clouds. If you're looking for a great place to unwind, this is it!

1000x would come back again

We really enjoyed our stay. It was exactly what we wanted! We felt isolated from the world but had enough to do around us that kept us thoroughly entertained. The hot tub wasn’t one of those run down ones, it was nice, fancy, and worked like a charm. The grill needed cleaning but that’s usually the case with most rental grills. It also came with all ware so we didn’t need to bring anything except charcoal, light fluid, and firewood/kindling for the fire.

Slice of heaven with a hot tub

Cute little cabin in the woods with an incredible view. Toilet and bed need some updates but overall a great experience. Elkin is a short drive and has old time feel.

Wonderful mountain getaway

Great little cabin in the woods that we used as a halfway break on a Florida to Michigan family road trip. Very convenient to Stone Mountain state park , gorgeous view, pet friendly , remote and exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommended
