This place is one of the few houses we have ever felt so seriously about going back to. I will get to a few issues, but the panoramic cliffside ocean view is spectacular, and even in the quiet non-migration season, we saw a pod of dolphins cruising through, and multiple sightings of a group of sea lions frolicking about.
The house was super comfortable, with tasteful decor and comfy furniture, and the king bed in the master bedroom was really fantastic and seamed new. We were eternally grateful for the non-scented cleaning products and laundry detergent - this one thing can really ruin a place for us, and there was not a trace of scent or air freshener. The hot tub was hot and clean, though small and in ground in the deck, with nothing to help get in access wise. The property manager said that this was scheduled to be replaced in the spring, and that would be an awesome upgrade. The fireplace is huge and lovely, but do note that nothing is provided including matches or any kind of starter chips, kindling, or wood. The property is huge and feels very private, and the deck wraps the whole back of the house (though basically has no furniture).
On the negative front, the house is in a little disrepair when it comes to fixtures of various types. The towel rack fell apart when we grabbed a towel from it, a few drawers were off track, a bathroom fixture was missing, and most annoyingly, the shower handle completely fell apart when we turned the shower on in the master bath (which should have been fixed between visitors). Still, the property manager promptly had someone out within hours, and he was able to replace it right away. There were a few other things that need to be added to the kitchen or replaced, but I mentioned that when dealing with the shower, and the manager asked that I provide a list and seemed very open to the feedback. The kitchen equipment on a basic level does not currently match the cost of this rental.
Very little needs to be done to this place to make it an absolute 5 star, and we hope to be back!
