Beautiful property with beautiful surroundings but condo itself needs some solid upgrades.Has huge potential. Carpet is really dirty in that condition is not accessible!!!!

Bad Experience.

During our 4 night stay at 285 Evian Way in Hilton Head, we suffered through nearly 3 days miserably uncomfortable conditions inside the home due to the AC failing. We followed all directions on the notification on the fridge and had to request a HVAC repair technician twice over the course of our stay. That is unacceptable for an accommodation such as this. When I requested help ar checkout, including a refund for my stay due to the problems we experienced, I did not receive any communication in reply. Would not recommend.

Dirty and peeling paint

Not like the pictures, this place could be wonderful because the space is wonderful. BUT, you are greeted with peeling paint, nails popped on the deck that cut feet. And spiderwebs with bugs and dirt on every ceiling. The front bathroom toilet runs continuously and is loose. The upholstery is dirty. There is a general air of not caring and just wanting your money. Also the "agent" showed up and did not even ring the doorbell she just walked in since we were a bit late getting out--there was a time zone confusion on the reservation; we thought it was 10 CDT not EDT... so we were finishing up our packing. Horrible place, until they clean it up and show they at least care about it... DO NOT STAY here.

Flawed checkin

Great clean place. Needs paint refreshed. Checkin took almost an hour to find. Was badly misrepresented on GPS, missed by over a quarter mile. Fix it!

Very nice home and location

We appreciate the well-stocked kitchen during the Thanksgiving weekend. There were lots of games for the kids and multiple TVs for all of the football. The big dining room table made it easy to host meals. The community is at the top of Shipyard Plantation and right off of a beautiful walking path, which was a highlight for us. It's a good hike from the beach on foot, but still doable with older kids (or bikes). I had to give 4/5 stars only because the place needs a good carpet cleaning(which has been mentioned on previous posts) and well-worn, outdated linens. If you come prepared for those kinds of issues like I did, you'll be fine (they did provide cleaning supplies/detergent).

Nice location, needs a little attention

The location was great! It was close to the beach, across from the pool and in a nice neighborhood. We really loved the space and thought it would be a nice repeat visit location except it has a few problems that need to be addressed. Not as clean as it should have been, needs some minor repairs of doors and fixtures, HVAC needs attention and the porch/deck is not a place you should walk without shoes. Children should definitely not play there as it is not in good condition. If these were fixed, we would stay here again.

Not what we expected

Evian is in a beautiful area but this villa could use some updates to the furniture, beds and tv's to increase the charm. When my family & I arrived, the first thing we noticed walking in were the number of black spiderwebs (with dead and living spiders) on the ceilings and walls in the kitchen, in the dining area, master bedroom and on the cathedral ceiling. It took a little over an hour after speaking with someone at the property management office to get the issue resolved. Needless to say, it was a less than stellar first impression. In addition to that, there were ants in the kitchen around the stove and sink. My suggestion is for the owner to invest in a pest control service for the spider and ant problem before renting it again. I believe when traveling, accommodations are as important as the location. Overall, my family was disappointed with our stay here.

Weekend Getaway

This place was a great place for a weekend getaway. Remodeled kitchen and bathrooms. The cleanliness wasn’t the best. Windowsills, carpet, some furniture, and vents weren’t cleaned at all. Some bugs found. We hate to complain. But during covid a great cleaning should be done. Replacing carpet would be a great start. We still had a great stay for the price. Pool across street. Beach is not walkable. Could ride bikes. We drove to private beach parking which was nice, pass included with your stay. Would book with the company again but probably not the place.

Great place

Very spacious 2 bar, easy 15-20 min walk to beach. Bike racks available outside. Nicely furnished. We enjoyed our stay very much. Vacasa was super easy to deal with.

Quiet Villa Near the Beach

Nice place

Not walkable to the beach, but in a great area. Home had a well stocked kitchen and all the things you might expect from a rental. Pool and tennis courts were nice as well as the bike paths within the Shipyard. Updated kitchens and bathrooms.
