The Getaway We've Loved The Most

This home was such an incredible find for our weekend getaway. We had so much space and room to maneuver, wonderful beach walks, and good nights sleep. The property was beautifully appointed and maintained. The management was prompt and answered all questions quickly. We will be back!

Quiet location

This house is located within 10min of anything you would ever need. Private beach trail adjacent to the house was nice not to have to pack everything up.

Million Dollar View

This home had an amazing view and great location. We loved the proximity to the beach and the pool was great. Plenty of space and amenities for our stay. We had 8 people and had plenty of room.

Great Beach House!

Truly enjoyed our week here with our family! So convenient to the beach and so nice to have the pool at the house! And loved that it did not have bunk beds for our little ones!! No worries about falling out of bed! :)

Spectacular views and outdoor spaces

Great home, great views, great location and outdoor spaces. Only drawback was the kitchen pots and pans, etc. which made it challenging to cook for seven.

Amazing views!

We loved our stay! The house had plenty of room for a large group with a large kitchen and dining area. We spent most of our stay out on the deck, enjoying the view of the ocean and pool. I do recommend bringing extra paper towels and trash bags. Not many were provided.

Paradise in October

The view was absolutely phenomenal! We loved the dog friendly house and nearness to the beach. The pool was beautiful too although we didn’t have it heated since it was cool in the evening.

Really Nice House and Location!

We did like this house and location! There were only two of us plus one dog, but we actually sent her to South Paws for two nights so really it was just two of us. We didn’t use the upstairs at all but there were three bedrooms and two baths up there. Two of those bedrooms had spectacular views! The main floor gave us plenty of room. The back deck is huge with different seating areas if people need their privacy. The pool area is very nice and it’s private. Walkway to the beach is right beside the house. We opted to walk just down the street to the public beach walkway since it was way smoother. If you have beach equipment, this is the way to go! This house would be perfect for a large family or even two families sharing. I appreciated the notes on the light switches so I knew which lights to use! My husband booked this house as a belated birthday gift for me. He made a great choice!!

Exactly what we wanted - clean, quiet, spacious, comfortable, well equipped, well maintained, attractively furnished, fabulous views, and a 5 minutes walk to the beach. It doesn't get any better.

Relaxing winter retreat

Beautiful property and a perfect location for watching the sun rise, hearing the ocean, and taking daily beach walks (dog friendly beach). Quiet street in spite of the proximity of stores and a highway. Kitchen had everything we needed, property manager was responsive and we would love to come back!

Breathtaking!

This house was breathtaking. We celebrated an 88th birthday of my uncle and all the guest were at awe! Everything was clean and equipped with two towels/wash clothes per bed, soap, toilet paper, paper towels and other things we needed. The notes in certain places were helpful in order to maintain the beauty of this home The ocean view and beach were breathtaking as well. The private pool, enormous balcony and EVERYTHING was amazing! Stores, shopping, restaurants, golfing and tours were all nearby. The town of Hilton Head was clean and great southern hospitality. My first time using Vacasa and will not be be my last. We all had an amazing time and would highly recommend this house to anyone!!

Beautiful Property, fantastic views

We had a great time, the home was fantastic, right next to the beach, and we would gladly book again. Only recommendation to the property management is to consider more toilet paper and other essentials in the home. We ran out by day 3. If this were a budget rental I’d understand the need to control costs and leave that up to the renter but in high season this property goes for well over $12k for a weeks stay. I believe for luxury level properties, that providing a luxury experience will differentiate you from the other basic level property management companies. It’s the one thing hotels have always managed to learn that could be easily replicated. Make us feel valued so we want to come back!

Incredible family vacation at HHI!

This home was gorgeous, with a beautiful open floor plan, well sized bedrooms and great access to the beach. We loved coffee on the deck with ocean views and eating outside on the deck with ocean breezes. We saw deer, hummingbirds and bunnies every day! The forested location on a quiet street was the perfect mix of relaxing and proximity to the hhi activities we wanted. We loved the other outdoor spaces, with places for our dog to roam and play, excellent deck space and a pool the kids loved. The kids enjoyed movie nights with the smart tv downstairs. Just a few other thoughts/comments: we like to cook as a family and pots and pans could use an update as they didn’t heat evenly, the knives weren’t very sharp, and the grill was completely out of propane and we had to delay our dinner plans to go get that swapped out. There were a bunch of anthills around the pool and we had to pay attention as a few kids got bitten. The pool surface is stone and a bit rough and all the kids ended up scraped up. Some of our family didn’t like the very firm mattresses. There are also a lot of notes/details in the binders and posted around the home, which added some anxiety to our stay as we made sure we followed all the rules, although most seemed to be common sense! Overall this house was wonderful, and was great for our family. I’d definitely recommend it to other families with young children! We would to book it again the next time we vacation in hhi!

Wonderful House, Poor Management

The house, its location and lay-out is wonderful. The management is not. Several lights in the house were out (above the kitchen range, next to the couch and broken outlets in a main bedroom). We had purchased and paid for 5 days pool heating a month in advance of our arrival, but the pool heating was not on. We promptly let Vacasa know of this and the other issues by text and voicemail. The only response was that a team member had been alerted who will contact us shortly. We had not received any follow-up the next morning so we contacted them again with the same result. Nothing happened. We had to repeat that multiple times before the heat was turned on at the end of the 2nd day. In the course of our 2nd day one light bulb was replaced and finally at 5pm of the 2nd day someone came out to turn on pool heating. It took another day for the other bulbs and light fixture to be repaired. Vacasa did not volunteer to give a credit for their failure to turn on the pool heating prior to our arrival. We had to escalate our request for credit. Even then Vacasa would only give a 2-day credit, while the pool was not usable until our 4th day, leaving us 2 days to use it, but paying for 3 days. We had to escalate our request to corporate for Vacasa to do what was right. The house is wonderful, but at the rates charged we expected responsive and responsible management, as we have experienced in renting homes of this caliber over the last few decades, but not here.
