Excellent Nerd Weekend

My friends and I were looking for a place to hold three days of Dungeons & Dragons for my 42nd birthday, and this was a perfect spot! I loved watching all of their reactions as they entered the house: it was just perfect. The pictures don't do the great theme justice. Even the wallpaper and stencils were authentic. Would stay again!

Great house!

This house was a fun stay just because of the Scottish theme! Beds were comfy and location was perfect! The home is a little dark, don’t know if that was part of the atmosphere or just a lot of out light bulbs? Real wine glasses and mugs would be nice, not plastic. All together a comfortable stay!

It felt like we were staying in a hunted house. My family refused to stay and my nephews freaked out when they saw the skulls. We turned on all the lights but the place was still dark. They added chains by the door which didn’t show in the pictures prior to making the reservation. It was a waste of money.

A Perfect Place for Our Ren Faire Bachelorette

The Highland House was the perfect spot for my friend's Ren Faire/GOT/LOTR Bachelorette that I organized. The house is SPECTACULAR and photos don't do it justice - the attention to detail is phenomenal and was much appreciated by my group. It required very little decor on our part. Rebecca was very communicative with us leading up to and throughout our visit to ensure we had everything we needed. I take great care in the awesome venues that I find to respect expectations, and made sure to review the house rules with our group in advance. While we requested the hot tub be heated on Friday night 4 days prior to arrival, the hot tub was not heated, however Rebecca made sure it was heated Saturday night, which we appreciated very much. We also had a slight hiccup in the app used to unlock the front door upon arrival, but Rebecca helped us get into the house and made sure we had access to it the next day. Overall we had a wonderful stay, and would absolutely come back again!

Very clean and welcoming. Nice bottle of wine and coffee bar. Pool never heated to be able to use. Needed to text owner every time we wanted to have the hot tub turned on or off. Other homes have timer or other options to allow us to use without checking in each time. Button was there, but told NOT ALLOWED TO USE. Very restrictive and took away relaxed no schedule vacation feeling. Forget, any hey honey would like like to grab a glass of wine and go int the spa at late hours. If we had known our schedule and behavior was to be controlled we would NOT have rented this property. A big surprise at the rate being charged. Pool equipment loud grinding noise and next to bedroom wall. Would not rent again.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

This house is in a quiet little neighborhood that is close to many attractions. Restaurants and nightlife are abundant. Just a 5 minute drive, is the world famous Palm Canyon drive. Sightseeing is a must here, with so many Movie star homes and historic places to visit. Coachella Music Festival and Stagecoach Music Festival are a 40 min drive or you can catch a shuttle 1.5 miles away at The Riviera Resort, where you can also catch the buzz shuttle that will take you through all of downtown Palm Springs free of charge. If you prefer local bus transit, there is a stop at the end of our street. There are 2 groceries stores (Albertsons has a Starbucks inside), within 5 min. of the house, which are in small shopping centers, so there's lots of things to choose from there, donuts, pizza, dollar store, gas stations, etc. there are 3 parks within 5 min. of the house , with tennis, volleyball, basketball, playgrounds, etc. 1 is a wellness park with exercise stations around the park. We have plenty of info if you are looking for great Restaurants or ask us.

If you are flying in, there are car rentals and taxi's at the airport, also there are plenty of Taxi's available around town as well as Uber and lyft.
There are also bike rentals downtown , with lots of newly installed bike lanes, great for a little exercise and site seeing. There is also a free trolley downtown called Buzz, which is really convenient for getting around Downtown. There's plenty of parking downtown, there's also a few parking garages/areas, a 3 story one with some shade next to Fisherman's market, which is free, another behind Starbucks, not covered, also free, and I believe the Hyatt on Palm Cyn. offers some free parking underground as well. We can provide you with plenty of suggestions for places to visit, Museums, Movie Star's Homes, hiking, Restaurants, Nightlife, etc.
