First, the Good: the view was beautiful and we enjoyed our time at the pool and on the beach. And the food was awesome at Michael's and out-of-this-world at Freddie's. Now the Bad: This place was filthy. And not just surface filth, even though the details of the property state that the surfaces are disinfected. What?? And they charged a cleaning fee? For what?? It was clearly evident that this property had not been CLEANED in a really long time. We did as much as we could in order to sleep there our first night. A person arrived the next morning to CLEAN THE SHOWER, which had mold/mildew from top to bottom, and to replace the shower liner which had the same, and tackle the kitchen. A warning about the ventilation system---no one should be breathing the gunk that we found. And the musty smell when you walk through the door was overwhelming---it even permeated through our bags and luggage. I could go on with listing EVERYTHING but would rather not belabor this. In fact, when asked to review this rental, I requested the contact information of the owner of this property to avoid a public review, but the property mgmt would not allow it. To top it off, no discount was offered for the lack of cleanliness. We should have known better than to spend our hard-earned money on this rental given there were only 5 reviews for this multi-year owner. We have rented meticulously-cleaned, ocean-front, 2 and 3 bedroom condos, in gated-communities, for 2 weeks for the same money---and, the upkeep of those rentals/properties was undeniable. If you choose this place, just know that you have to be the one to check on the cleanliness/disinfecting because there is no one else doing it.
