It is dated and needs updating. Sliding glass door was broke and refrigerator did not work initially. Information sent in emails was wrong (place to get parking pass had moved). The phone number to call after hours that was in my information was wrong. Google gave us the right number. Pool was closed on Saturday. Thought it was due to storms but well after they passed the pool remained closed. View and location was great though.

great location and deck

Unit is a little shabby, but stellar access to beach, easy parking, and great deck. We had a lovely time, and property manager was very responsive. Note that second bedroom has a double bed, not a queen.

Long weekend fun

Condo is as described. Enjoyed our weekend there. It’s nice to have an elevator & the mural in it, is pretty! Check out info on the fridge is outdated, from previous property manager, needs to be updated. Would definitely stay here again!

Carolina Beach is relaxing and chill

Nice condo with an amazing 12' x 32' deck which provided a great view of the ocean, especially at night. Convenient to plenty of restaurants, but be forewarned most parking at Carolina Beach is pay stations or meters. Some hammocks at the condos would be a great addition along with some recycling containers, but otherwise the decor and amenities were very nice. Parking for our condo was under the building which was convenient and easy on the ride.

Our stay at the Sea colony unit A3 was unfortunately not what my family and I anticipated. I have stayed at various condos at sea colony exclusively for 21 years. I have also stayed in this exact condo many years prior. I was very excited when I saw this unit was available again after some years went by. First I saw the listing said there’s a hot tub located on the property. There was not a hot tub. There has never been one on this property either. The pool key was slightly hidden in the utility closet, and when I contacted Carolina beach reality they had no idea where it was located. The condo smelled like smoke. The hardwood floors were warped and spaced out causing us to stub our toes on them. The kitchen cabinet doors hit the glass stove frame every time we tried to open them. The master shower floor had a major crack that was filled in with caulking and covered with a bath mat. There were stains all over the bedroom furniture. Burn marks on the dressers. The deck sliding glass door connected to the living-room would not open. Also looked as if the glass was separating from the door frame and if opened would have potentially fallen. the deck was bowing on the right side. Rusty nails popping out of the deck boards. About 10 feet of cable cord hanging from the living room ceiling. All of these concerns were immediately shared with Carolina beach reality, and nothing was fixed while we were there. They also seemed to not care at all.

Beach Trip

The property is exactly as listed. The property is in a great location. Easy access to the beach and access to all the restaurants! We enjoyed our stay. We found box fans in the closet which helped with the air flow. This week was extremely hot but we were never hot in the condo. The elevator was beneficial when bringing our stuff up. Although we were on the first floor the elevator was helpful so we only had to make one trip versus several up the stairs. We had a great family vacation.

Family Get together

Here’s a more concise version of your summary: The property’s location is perfect, right on the beach. We usually stay in hotels when visiting Carolina but were excited to stay beachfront this time. The check-in process was smooth, and while early check-in was available for an extra fee, it was too expensive for us. Late check-out also has a fee, though this wasn’t an issue for us. Future guests should note that while the listing mentions a pool, it's only accessible to owners, and there’s no hot tub on the property or in the room. The apartment itself is fantastic, with stunning views and the sound of the waves at night. However, the cleanliness needs improvement. There was a ring under the slip mat in the tub, hair on the walls, and a filthy sheet on the pullout sofa. The coffee pot also had an old, moldy filter. While we’re not overly picky about cleanliness, these things were noticeable, even to an untrained eye. One trash bag was provided, which wasn’t enough for our stay, and we had to buy extra linens as none were available. Overall, while the location and apartment are great, a deeper clean and more attention to details would improve the experience. The rental agency seems automated, and future guests should be prepared to bring their own linens and note the lack of pool and hot tub access.

Unfortunately not the experience we wanted

We booked this unit in Sept of 2023, having stayed at Sea Colony on a previous occasion. Our previous unit had been sold so we booked this unit which is managed by Carolina Beach Realty. We would not recommend you doing the same. The following items were broken: coffee pot, bedroom door would not close, master bedroom lamp, dishwasher (hand washed dishes all week), guest shower partially clogged, outside furniture broken, old and extremely rusty, and shredded/ripped towels. The following bear specific mention due to lack of cleanliness: master bath had long hair throughout the wall, blankets were clean but comforters were definitely not on both beds and smelled terrible, stove top was really dirty. Living room rug was very dirty around the edges. The utility door is just caked in lint and every cranny and corner not easily cleaned like room corners, baseboards, doors, handles…is filthy. Overall condition: paint, furniture, walls, faucets, pantry doors….all stained, scratched, dirty….even the kitchen knives were rusty. Furniture looked old and dirty with dining table pealing off Things you would think would be present….hair dryer, beach supplies, soap, trash bags, extra facial tissue etc…not here. As far as management, minimal contact, no timeframe on repair for the dishwasher…in fact they asked us to look up the serial number so they could “get on a list”. Not the experience we were expecting or paid for specially when pricing is pretty similar to other units.

We do only provide starter rolls of toilet paper, one roll of paper towels, and a packet of dish detergent. We do not advertise providing any of the other items. Perfect spot for a quick getaway! Check in was smooth, the view was great with a spacious deck to sit out on. I did need to clean up sand upon arrival but it’s the beach, I get it. The pool key was hidden in the hvac closet but found it so the kids could go enjoy! No hot tub as stated in the title of listing but that’s okay, the pool was sufficient. Walk from condo to the beach was perfect distance. Super family friendly, would recommend!
