Beautiful home and view!

This was our second visit. Just as beautiful as the first! The view and fire pit give us our glamping fix. The home is lovely and everything we needed was there. Also, we love the little town of Dillsboro. Delicious food!

Great couples weekend

Convenient location, great views

We had a nice stay at Layers Lodge. It’s a right sized place for our family of four and provides great views while also being close to Sylva and Dilsboro and not requiring some long drive up a mountainside. The hot tub and fire pit were nice, and were much appreciated after our busy days of mountain activities. Overall a very nice stay and we would consider returning for another visit. I should mention that the property manager was awesome and very responsive to our questions prior to check in (we didn’t have a need to contact them during the stay as everything went as expected).

Fabulous Weekend Vacation

Our family just loved The Layers View Lodge. The view was amazing. We woke up to being surrounded by clouds and watched the clouds move through the mountains. We loved sitting on the back covered porch drinking our coffee, soaking up the sunshine on the patio and enjoying the hot tub in the evenings. The house was very clean and well-stocked. The beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Views were amazing!

The property was easy to find. The cabin was very clean, comfy couch and beds, and the hot tub was really nice. Last but not least, the view was stunning!

Hiking getaway

Cabin was lovely and the view was fantastic! Quite the climb to the top but worth it. The shower upstairs has a drainage issue and bath mats to step out on would be a suggestion. Other than that it was a fantastic weekend and will be returning to the area in the future to finish what we didn’t get to see.

Relaxation at its peak

What a wonderful, relaxing, and clean home! We had the most fantastic weekend at Layers View, and leaving was tough. From the outstanding views to the thoughtfulness of amenities and supplies for guests, there was nothing to complain about. It's minutes from downtown Dillsboro and Sylva, but we didn't even want to leave to explore town. Thanks to this property and its owners, we had a truly relaxing anniversary, and we will absolutely come back again.

Wonderful Anniversary Stay

We had a fantastic time at Layers View Lodge. Although we only stayed for a weekend, we would have loved to stay longer! The home was so clean, the amenities were perfect for a mountain getaway, and the house was cozy for just the two of us. We absolutely would stay here again—and we probably will!

Peaceful Getaway

Great location for Western NC. Perfect for our group of 2 couples. Enjoyed the outdoor sitting/firepit area. The covered porch was nice, it rained one evening so we could still be able to grill and sit outside. Just a peaceful location and view. Perfect Mountain Getaway

On Top of The World

When you are in this home, you feel like you are on top of the world. The views of the mountain tops stretch out in front of you as far as you can see. It is wonderful to sit on the porch with your coffee or in the hot tub with your wine or by the firepit with your marshmallows and take in the beautiful view. The location is excellent, only 5 minutes from downtown Dillsboro and 15 minutes from historic downtown Sylva or from WCU. The cabin is updated and extremely clean. The mattresses are comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans and dishes. There are 3 TVs and we could stream Netflix and watch the games on DirectTV. The driveway is steep, but paved and manageable in a regular car. The rental company is easy to work with and very responsive. I really can not find anything negative to say about the wonderful place.

Weekend hiking and fishing near Sylva, NC

We wanted to take a brief 2-day trip to the NC mountains to fly fish near Cherokee and hike off the Blue Ridge Pkwy. The Layers View home in Dilsboro was a perfect location for our plans. After a long, hot day fly fishing it was great to come back to Layers View and relax in the hot tub before going to dinner in Sylva (just a 5 minute drive!). Although we never prepared a meal at the home, it is well equipped and having WiFi and satellite TV was great because we got to watch the finals of women's round of the US Open after a long day hiking in the rain! Althought it was just two of us, the home can easily accomodate 4 adults and a couple of kids (who could camp out in the living room). Would recommend to anyone who enjoys wounderful views, good fishing and hiking, and good food in a small town atmosphere.

Can’t wait to go back!

What a beautiful property! The view takes your breath away. The best fire pit and dry wood provided for a small cash fee and the whirlpool…made our outdoor living the absolute best!! Then there is the house…WOW!! Beautiful home, very clean, and everything we needed to get started was provided. Shopping and cute restaurants nearby in Dillsboro and Sylva. We are already planning our next trip!

Amazing Mountain Top Retreat

If waking up to beautiful Mountain view’s while watching an Osprey catch it’s breakfast on the river in the valley below is something you would enjoy, then this is the place for you. On a clear night, amazing views of the Milky Way galaxy can be seen. A good feeling of seclusion and peacefulness even while there are neighboring homes nearby. A short drive to the Great Rocky Mountain National Park with plenty to do locally. We are already thinking about our next visit!
