Detta nybyggda hem erbjuder det bästa från båda världar med en stig direkt bakom huset JUST HALF MILE genom de spektakulära trädbevuxna sanddynerna som leder till Oval Beach / eller en halv mil till stranden på Oval Beach Rd. (Perryman St.) ...... OCH...... precis tvärs över floden från hjärtat av Saugatuck centrum / STEG VÄG FRÅN KEDJEN FERRY (Runs Memorial Day genom Labor Day). Två mil runt hamnen till centrum när kedjefärja inte är i drift. Lägre nivå inkluderar sovrum, badrum, tvättstuga. Övre nivå inkluderar sovrum och badrum med öppen planlösning vardagsrum inklusive 43 "platt-TV med Netflix, matplats och kök. Drottning i sovrummet i vardagsrummet. Den övre nivån har en stor möblerad avskärmad veranda med matplats och har delvis utsikt över Kalamazoo-floden. En öppen balkong har utsikt över de vackra trädbevuxna sanddynerna. 6-personers badtunna ligger precis utanför ingången till hemmet. This home was perfect for our needs. While the main living area is open-plan, the bedrooms and porches offer cozy spaces, so you have the best of both worlds. The kitchen was well appointed, and all of the furnishings were nice. The location was just right for us. We felt close to everything but still in a quiet area. Communication with Rob was terrific.

We loved our stay at River Groove! The house is very nice and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the hot tub and screened in porch. Host is very kind and friendly. Great location, only a short walk to the chain ferry, which we took daily to walk to restaurants and shops. The house is also close to Mt Baldhead, once you get to the top of the stairs, it’s a pretty easy walk to the beach. If you don’t want to do the stairs, I recommend driving rather than walking along Perryman St, it’s too narrow to be safe for pedestrians, no shoulder in many spots. We will certainly book this home again when we come back to Saugatuck!

Wonderful house and excellent location. It has everything you need. The host, Rob, is great to work with.We walked to Oval Beach and Mount Baldhead. We took the Star of Saugatuck boat tour. We did the Dune Buggy ride which was fabulous. We also went to Holland and Fennville which are quick trips.I highly recommend this property!Nancy May, 2025

Excellent!

Four of us in the rental and all four loved it! The place was clean, had plenty of dishes, towels. We walked to the beach about 9 minutes but if you have lots to carry then better to drive. Walked to the chain ferry, walked to Mount Baldhead took the 300 steps up the dune, walked to the crows nest- what a fabulous view.We saw deer everyday by the rental. This place is so lovely, quiet. We hope we have the opportunity to stay here again.

River Groovy

What a great spot for our rare vacation…… close to lots of shops and restaurants but also slightly secluded and peaceful. The house was very clean and comfy- would highly recommend!

Our happy place

We have stayed in this pristine property many times and can’t wait to return. Rob’s house is exquisite—beautifully decorated in mid century modern decor and still so cozy! You can’t beat the location and will be inspired to take many walks down to the water or through the woods and adjacent neighborhoods. The hot tub is incredible! Love this restorative place.

Spring getaway trip

This house rental exceeded all expectations. The property was spotless upon arrival — perfectly clean and clearly well-maintained. Communication with the owner was seamless from start to finish; they were prompt, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. We had an incident where we locked ourselves out after returning from dinner around 9:30pm, and Rob the owner was very responsive. He arranged for a locksmith person to come and solved the issue! We are very grateful for his generosity. In addition, the location was perfect — quiet and safe, and less than 15 minutes away from shops, restaurants, and local attractions (across the river). This would have been even less when the ferry would be open for the season. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

Off-season girls getaway

Fresh, modern, well-decorated house. Close proximity to Oval Beach and 302 steps at Baldhead State Park. Garage use was a bonus. Eclectic, artistic community with wonderful restaurants and unique shops.

Cozy retreat

This is our 3rd time back at River Groove and we can't say enough about this special property. Perfect location, whether it's sunny July or cozy December! We holed up in front of the fireplace and dipped in the hot tub, watching the snow come down. Perfect location and decor. Rob is an amazing host with exquisite taste and puts care into every little detail!

Has Everything You Need!

Came up for a quick spring getaway, and could not have asked for a better place to stay! The house itself was really cool and everything was super clean and inviting. Really enjoyed the layout of the house, including the convenience of the garage. Between the hot tub and screened in porches, there was plenty of space to relax outside. And we were a short walk away from some great hikes. Great location and close to everything you'd want or need. Would definitely try to stay here again and have already talked about coming back when the ferry is in season.

Beautifully Renovated

My wife and I stayed for Memorial Day weekend getaway. We found out we were the first guest to stay in 2 years due to renovations after a fire. This place was perfect getaway spot tucked away with privacy. Only short walk to chain ferry and main streets of Saugatuck. This property was updated nicely and had everything you need for weekend get away. Rob was in good communication before and during our stay. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Saugatuck.

Happy to be back at River Groove

This was our third stay at River Groove. It is a beautiful home in an ideal location. Nestled in the woods, it’s a great place to relax and unwind while being close to the beach and downtown Saugatuck. It’s a quick drive to the beach but also a nice hike through the woods if you prefer. The chain ferry is very close to the house and takes you right into town. The house itself is well designed and maintained. I particularly enjoy sitting on the screened porches listening to birds and the breeze through the woods. It is just a great place!

Modernhome in wooded setting

We had a completely perfect stay at this house for our anniversary. The location is fantastic- you feel secluded in the woods yet you are two minutes from Saugatuck and Douglas. The setting is so relaxing and beautiful. The home has a very cool modern, yet retro vibe. It is fully stocked with everything anyone would need. The bed was so comfortable we actually slept til 11! The fireplace was cozy and the hot tub was great after climbing and hiking. Rob, the owner was so awesome and easy to work with. He was so helpful if we needed any advice or suggestions while we were there too. We have stayed at other places in saugutuck before but only plan on coming back to the River Groove. Back again and love the new updates

I've stayed at River Groove several times over the years. Rob has consistently been one of the best hosts I've ever interacted with on VRBO. He's always responsive, and his place is always spotless. He recently remodeled, and the kitchen features all new appliances and is well-stocked with cookware, dishes and silverware. The TVs are new and easy to operate, and the overall look of the home is sleek and modern. The gas fireplace is also new and generates an impressive amount of heat with a simple switch that turns it on and off. The hot tub is tucked into a hillside in the woods and is my favorite part of River Groove. You can sit there and hear the wind blow through the pines and nothing else. I've never stayed there during the summer, but it is very quiet in the offseason, with only a few deer wandering around the property. A 15-minute hike through the dunes (or drive around them) takes you to Oval Beach, and downtown Douglas and Saugatuck are really close, too. Plus, the garage has generally been empty when I've visited, so Rob provides the garage door opener so you can park inside, a nice perk when there's snow. River Groove is an incredible place owned by an incredibly kind person. I look forward to returning again soon.
