Ett stort dÀck som spÀnner över husets framsida för att hinna med strÄlar i en av schÀslongarna, koppla av pÄ soffan och se bÄtarna segla in i hamnen eller Àta utomhus med det uteserverade bordet med plats för 4-6 personer, allt medan du tittar pÄ turkosvattnets stÀndigt förÀnderliga magiska nyanser.

Beautiful Property; Great Location

We enjoyed our time at Xanadu House and appreciated all of the information shared ahead of our trip. This home was perfect for our family of four. We enjoyed snorkeling on the shore at the house. The kitchen was well stocked and full size shower products were provided. Communication with the owner and manager was excellent. Exuma is a beautiful place and Xanadu was the perfect headquarters for our trip!

Xanadu is PARADISE!

Took my family and some extended friends to Exuma and stayed a Xanadu. I am glad we chose this property as it was perfect for us. We loved everything and will definitely return!

Paradise!

Beautiful home with all the amenities described in the listing! Lisa was so easy to communicate with and was very helpful with pre trip tips to help navigate travel during Covid times. Our stay at Xanadu

Our family of 5 stayed a week at Xanadu and couldn’t have been more happy with the house and location. Gorgeous views, plenty of room for all of us, conveniently located to get to anything, and top notch communication. I never had to worry about anything bc I knew I’d be able to reach Lisa or Cleo. Exceptional Vacation Spot!

Xanadu is such a magical place. This is my second time staying at Xanadu and it will not be my last! We love how private it is, right on the water with exceptional views. We enjoyed snorkeling right from the house, morning coffee on the deck overlooking the water and relaxing after long days in the sun. Everything is close by and Xanadu has everything you could need! The home accommodated our family of 5 well and made our stay on the island feel like home. We highly recommend staying here! The host's are wonderful and share every bit of information to help make the trip easy and successful.

Absolutely perfect!

We had a fantastic week on Exuma. The owners have thought of everything at Xanadu! The view is breathtaking. They’ve provided everything you could need, from snorkeling gear to beach chairs. My son especially loved snorkeling and searching for sand dollars. We went on the all day tour with Shoreline Adventures and loved it. Our favorite beach was Forbes Hill, but we loved them all. Xanadu House and Exuma are truly paradise!

Gorgeous Xanadu Family Vacation

What a spectacular stay at the beautiful Xanadu!! The location was perfect and easily accessible. The house was beautiful and had so much character! The set up was perfect for our family as well. The views are a sight to see everyday and the ability to snorkel and kayak right from our backyard was amazing. The hosts and house manager were fantastic and made our stay comfortable! They gave us so much useful information that made planning our days perfect! This was our first trip to the unbelievably gorgeous Exumas and it surely will not be our last!! The beaches were unreal and the blue waters were unmatched! We absolutely loved our stay at Xanadu!!

Week in Exuma

We just returned from our first trip to Exuma. What a beautiful place and the views from Xanadu did not disappoint. The house had plenty of room for our family of four, was well stocked with everything we could possibly need from kitchen stuff to coolers to snorkeling gear in all sizes, beach towels and chairs, games, movies, etc..... We enjoyed spending time on the back porch and hanging out down by the water right behind the house enjoying the gorgeous views. Would definitely stay here again if/when return to Exuma in the future. Owners were very responsive and great to work with.

Loved Xanadu!

Beautiful home equipped with everything you could possibly need. The view is amazing and perfect for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Unfortunately the water/wind was pretty rough when we were there and we were unable to snorkel or kayak, but I’m sure it would have been perfect. The house is central to everything on Great & little exuma! Cleo was so helpful and Lisa stayed in contact from weeks before to the day we left- an angel! Xanadu has a piece of our hearts & we cannot wait to return.

Fun Stay!!

Amazing views from the home! Really would have liked a TV in our bedroom. The TV room really only sits two people. We had our daughter and her boyfriend with and it's dark at 6:30 so it didn't work so well for us. The deck overlooking the water is simply amazing and the stars at night from the deck are outstanding. Thanks for a great stay!!

Incredible Experience!

This is a fabulous house and we could not have been more pleased with our experience there. Absolutely incredible views! The owners were delightful and provided so much information about the island. There were so many nice touches that we appreciated: coffee being provided, a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, plenty of spaces to relax, the list goes on. I can't imagine staying anywhere else on Exuma. The location was perfect and very close to grocery stores and liquor store. We didn't want for anything with this rental: beach chairs, towels, snorkel equipment, laundry detergent, etc. We'll be back and would most definitely rent Xanadu from these lovely and gracious hosts! Wonderful house!

We had an amazing stay at Xanadu house. Lisa and Frank were easy to contact and provided so much helpful information. The house itself is gorgeous (we never got over that view!), and we thought the location was perfect. There were great beaches nearby, and it was also a good central base to explore both ends of Exuma. The house was well-stocked with towels, cookware, pantry staples, etc. We have stayed other places that really had nothing in stock, and it was nice to not have to worry about things like salt and pepper or dish soap. Xanadu house is the perfect place to relax and enjoy Exuma, and we appreciate the thoughtful touches that made our stay all the more enjoyable. We look forward to returning one day!

Great Exuma lives up to its name

The Xanadu house was exactly as advertised and even better as the pictures do not do the view justice. Our family of five had an amazing time at the house, and while exploring the island and neighboring Cays. We are not big on the tourist thing but we definitely recommend taking a day trip to visit the local Cays and sites. We saw islands of the rich and famous, the Thunderball grotto, the swimming pigs, an awesome sandbar oasis, swam with nurse sharks, and fed iguanas on a beach. The rest of our stay was spent relaxing. We found several beaches but Hoopers Bay beach was our favorite with its calm clear waters and the added bonus of being able to see the sea turtles near the pier. Back at the house we spent evenings on the front deck gazing at the stars or playing games provided by the hosts. Frank, Lisa, and their property manager, Cleo, were all top notch and communication was perfect. All in all we had a fantastic trip and highly recommend Xanadu house and Great Exuma island.

Comfortable paradise

An amazing home located perfectly between the airport and Georgetown. We loved easy access to beaches, grocery, restaurants - namely Splash. The house is beyond beautiful and perfect with teen and young kids. We never got used to how amazing the view was! It was jaw dropping. Our last day a full rainbow over the bay. We snorkeled off the house when water was calm enough, hired a private charter and did a half day charter on a larger boat with Exuma Water sports. The hosts communicated all the local tips and tricks. Lisa and Frank were so responsive and helpful! My fav meal was Santanas. The food on the island is very expensive and not great but we didn’t let it be much of an issue! Snorkeling, chat and chill, stingrays, pigs, iguana island, sand bars, sharks, turtles at hoopers bay. It is a giant playground! Thank you for all you did to make this an unforgettable family vacation!

Just darling 💖

We love Exuma and we love Xanadu House. First off...THE VIEW!!!! Let me tell you, the moonrise/sunrise was the most amazing I’ve ever seen, not to mention the views of the “Exuma Blues” you could spend your whole trip on the deck and be happy. We went as a group of five (with the in-laws) and the layout of the house is great for this set-up. I’m also the type of person who wants all the comforts of home, but for the beach house to feel “beachy”...💯! The group spoke often about how they had thought of everything. The location, IMHO, is ideal, being close to town and 3 mins from my favorite stops...Smitty’s(liquor store 😎) / Prime Meats (ask for the crab salad and see if you can get Ron to sing for you). Lisa was just great and I feel like we really go to know each other over the 1.3 years since booking that we finally made it here due to COVID and 3-4 rescheduled trips. She is so thoughtful and understanding and really just a perfect host. We are already planning a trip back.

Location location location!!! Extraordinary!!!

Frank and Lisa let us rent their house with friends of ours before they were finished renovating. It was fun staying in a house that we saw on HGTV's Bahamas Life! Love all of the updates! They really have done a beautiful job. The third bedroom wasn't done yet. But the other two rooms were perfect for us. Big rooms with extra comfy beds. The view is like non other. We couldn't stop staring at that water. And the constant breeze was nice. Kept us cool and kept the bugs away. Was nice to sit in the sun room and watch the storm roll in one day. Great snorkeling right out front. A turtle swam by everyday. Evidently his name name is Henry. We took their recommendations and ate at Shirley's Fish Fry one night and February Point another. Both were excellent. Definately get a car like we did. There is a lot to explore and many beaches to enjoy. We'll definately stay here again!

Fabulous House and Location

This house was amazing. The view from the deck alone was worth the stay. We loved the sunrises and sunsets. Cleo was great and easy to communicate with. She helped us with our initial grocery delivery and with questions along the way. Lisa and Frank were so gracious and helpful with all of their messages. We ate at Blu, Santana’s, Shoreline and Shirley’s. Our favorite was Santana’s just past Tropic of Cancer beach. Blu was fabulous as well. We booked an all day boat trip with Exuma Water Sports and it was well worth it. Lunch at Staniel Cay yacht club and stops at the iguana’s, pigs and swimming with the sharks were highlights as well as the stop at Thunderball Grotto. Overall the trip was amazing. We rented a boat one day from Minns and explored Starfish beach and others over at Stocking Island and stopped off at Chat n Chill for some drinks and Conch Salad. The pig roast at Chat n Chill on Sundays is also a must. Elvis water taxi can get you there for $15/person RT. The house is equipped with coolers, snorkeling equipment and fins as well as floats and folding chairs. The kitchen is fabulous and stocked with all of the necessary condiments and spices. Both beds were super comfy and the AC units worked perfectly. Overall the vacation was fabulous and we would highly recommend this house for parties of 4-6. Lisa and Frank, thank you so much for sharing your house with us. We will return ! 😎

Absolutely amazing and can’t wait to book next year!!!

When you have the ultimate experience...how do you describe it?I guess it starts; first and foremost, with the owners/managers of the property! The communication was 5 star and completely spot on. Our family had never been to Exuma; yet the guidance and information from the owners helped navigate and steered us to enjoy the island in the fullest. The Xanadu House is quiet, private and centrally located. There are a dozen gorgeous beaches that are along the island, however the steps off the Xanadu House rivals them all!!! I am from Oakland Ca., and live in Annapolis, Md. I have had the joy of appreciating both the SF Bay and the Chesapeake Bay....I can tell you that Exuma puts both to shame! The fishing, boating, snorkeling, food and atmosphere is unlike anything you’ve experienced in the Caribbean! it is personal and not “all inclusive” Shopping for groceries and navigating the liquor store was my favorite part! The Xanadu House allowed us to meet the locals and contribute to the “real-local” economy! You might spend a few dollars more for that six pack or bottle of rum; but the people you meet in line or the person taking your money; might just tell your where the fresh fish are or where the “live band” is playing for the night....and it won’t be Sandlas Resort!!! The Xanadu House is the central catalyst to all you need around the island! The best compliment i can give; is that not only will be back; but i am afraid to share with all my friends! Our family stay at Xanadu House exceeded all expectations with amazing panoramic views of Exuma blue and calming ocean. The decor of Xanadu made you feel as part of the ocean with seashells, starfish, corrals, and ocean colors. The sunrise each morning with captivating vibrant colors of the ocean and sun glint was breathtaking. Since the initial booking reservation and throughout our stay, Lisa was consistently available and provided recommendations of places to dine, tours, beaches to visit and much more. Xanadu house allows you to be present in the moment and appreciate the meaning of life ! Thank you Lisa and Frank

Fantastic Home in Exuma

Xanadu is a fantastic home, and we had a wonderful family vacation in paradise! Lisa is phenomenal—very responsive, knowledgeable, easy to work with, and detail-oriented. If you want to explore tidepools, head to Exuma Point at low tide. For gorgeous white sand beaches and turquoise water, head to Cocoplum or South to Pretty Molly, Big Bay, and Tropic of Cancer. It is hard to describe how picturesque the water is in the Exumas: unbelievable! Some of the best snorkeling is right behind the house, including swimming with a sea turtle. We did an ATV ride with Exuma Adventure Tours and an excursion to see the pigs, iguanas, and sharks with Exuma Water Sports. Worth it! We also rented a boat with Minn's Water Sports in Georgetown and loved it so much we rented again on a second day. Some things to remember: food selection is limited, stores close early, or are not open on specific days, so plan ahead! Lunch was easier to find restaurants open- we hit Tim's on the Bay and made reservations for Coco Plum Bistro. We heard Blu on the Water was terrific, but didn't get there ourselves. We also discovered the Ice Cream Shack in Georgetown, which is homemade and fantastic after a hot day!

We did a lot of island hoping to find the one that was right for us.
As soon as we stepped foot on Exuma we knew it was the island for us.
From the magical colors of the ocean to the friendly locals.
Then we found Xanadu. Or should I say it found us. :)
It felt like home when we walked through the door.
Then we saw the view. An ever changing, surreal, jaw dropping, gorgeous water view.
Then we got to work fixing her up. Giving her the TLC she hadn't been getting in awhile.
Now we're able to enjoy all of her spender and share it with others. :)

Being on a hill, we enjoy the ever breezy trade winds.
Watching the sunrise from bed, or with a cup of coffee on the deck.
After a day of snorkeling or beach hopping, enjoying the outdoor shower with that incredible view!
