Du kommer att vara inom en kort promenad frÄn ditt val av restauranger, shopping vid vattnet, tre marinor, The Church of the Atlantic Museum och den mest orörda stranden pÄ östkusten. Du kommer att vara i hjÀrtat av Hatteras Village med all sin charm och Àventyr.

Hemmet har Wi-Fi, plattskÀrms-TV med digital kabel i vardagsrummet och sovrummet och en fantastisk utomhus cedar-fodrad dusch, fisk stÀdbord och grill dÀr du kan laga dina dagar fÄnga. Det finns en stor tvÄ nivÄ dÀck för att koppla av och njuta av utsikten.

SHELTER ligger ca 100 meter frÄn Teaches Lair Marina and Grill. Du kan boka din fisketur eller bara besöka före 16:00 för att se dagens fÄngst. De typiska fÄngsterna Àr blÄ marlin, segelfisk, delfin, röd trumma, wahoo, kungar och spanska, bluefish, tonfisk och grouper.

De yttre bankerna var den första delen av Atlanten som besökte engelska bosÀttare, huvudsakligen Sir Walter Raleighs expedition pÄ 1580-talet. Genom Ärhundraden av isolering har de mÀnniskor som bor i yttre banker utvecklat ett sÀtt att leva alla sina egna. Hatteras nÀra sin södra spets ligger inom 12 miles frÄn Gulf Stream Àr kÀnd som "Game Fish Junction" eftersom överflöd av norra och södra arter av fisk. Det Àr utanför Cape Hatteras att Labrador Current kolliderar med det tropiska vattnet i Gulf Stream.

Absolutely perfect property! The property was amazing from the view to the easy stroll to the beach. It's pet friendly and the doggos had a blast. We couldn't be happier with our stay! It was very well equipped and had everything a family would need and then some. We will most definitely be back.

Place is exactly as described, amazing views from the deck, clean, perfect location, literally 3 min walk to the beach. My dog couldnt get enough of the top deck sun bathing! Felt like home, cant wait to come back.

Great Escape

My family went to the Shellter for spring break this year. What a great escape. The beaches were vacant, full of shells, and our dogs had a blast in the ocean. What a great house and great location. We loved all the special touches and character of the house. We'll definitely stay again!!

Best stay ever!!

This place was perfect for us and our two dogs. It was clean. A fenced in yard for the dogs to play. The marina was across the street. After a long day of fishing it was just a short walk to the house. The host was quick to answer questions and made us feel welcomed. I will definitely get this place when we come back.

Great location

We loved sitting on the rooftop deck to view the sunset and stars. The house is in a wonderful location in Hatteras village. Very convenient walk to the ocean and restaurants.

Great location, great amenities!

This was everything we wanted in a vacation. Great local spots, easy walk to the beach, fun trip to Ocracoke, and great house amenities!

The location was great, only a few minutes from the beach access. Beautiful sunset views over the sound and star gazing from the upper level deck. We loved the outdoor shower are cute signs around the property. The fenced in back yard was an added bonus, but if you have tall dogs note that the fence is only about 3 feet tall around the back. A few things that could use improvement is that the owner notified us a few days prior to our stay that the dryer wasn’t working and the coffee table had broken recently. Both easy fixes that happen with rentals. Based on images we thought there was a gas grill, but once we got to the house we realized that there was a charcoal grill. The house is a little small when it comes to places to store clothes, especially in the room with twin beds. Maybe a few more places to hang clothes in that room would be nice. We enjoyed our stay!

Thanksgiving get-a-way

Property was the perfect size for our needs. Great location for our family and close to our daughter's place so we could enjoy visiting with little driving. No towels were provided, but luckily i had brought some.

Everything one needs for beach get away.

Great place

House was very nice. Was stocked well with all cooking ware. The upper deck was really nice with a great view. Outdoor shower is nice, could use a little more coverage in my opinion. Great little neighborhood with close beach access. Several of the beach acces were damaged and closed while we were there.

This property had everything we needed and is in a great location. The kitchen has many pots, pans and utensils. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces. Would love to stay here again.

Great house

This is the second year we have stayed here. We were here during the 4th of July holiday and it was great. Holiday parade. The house is just like it is described and not that far from the beach or sound. Great place.

Perfect!!

Shellter was absolutely perfect! Everything we needed was available. The decorations were beautiful! It was very clean. It was walking distance to the beach, the marina and restaurants. We had wonderful weather and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!

Great house in the center of the village

The house was very clean and included all amenities we needed. The description of the house was spot-on. The location makes it very walkable to the beach and a number of restaurants and shops. We loved sitting on the rooftop deck.

Girls Weekend and High School Play

Myself, SIL, and 2 DIL came down to visit my daughter who is the English and Drama teacher at Cape Hatteras Secondary. They were premiering Harry Potter and the Cursed Child...the only high school in NC selected to do the play!

Relaxing and nice!

Great beach house! Just a short walk to the ocean. The owners provided extra things (beach and sand supplies etc) in storage that we were happy to have for our stay. House was clean and relaxing. Very open and bright. Would stay again.

Didn’t Disappoint!

This was our second year at the Shelter. It’s perfect for our family of 4. The roof deck is great for sunsets and the screened porch was nice to have on the rainy days. Wonderful memories were made. Thanks!!!

Great House

This place is wonderful. Great location! You are a short walk or golf cart ride to the beach, marina and shopping. House has everything you need. Communication with property owner was fast and easy. House is beautiful. The outside shower was a hit with my crew. We are looking forward to 2024 for our next stay. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay for our vacation.
