Nära till allt !!: Gångavstånd till avslappnade och fina restauranger, caféer, gallerier, affärer, Cape Cod Bike Trail (.2 miles) och Rock Harbor (.7 miles). Kort bilresa till Skaket Beach (1 mile till Bayside Beach) och Nauset Beach (3 miles till National Seashore - till havet). Cape Cod National Seashore röstades till en av de vackraste stränderna i Amerika.

Mycket att göra!!: National Seashore Center i Eastham erbjuder många program för familjer, liksom Audubon Center i Wellfleet. Flera Playhouses erbjuder sommarteater som ändras varje vecka, till exempel Academy Playhouse i Orleans, Dennis Playhouse, Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre (WHAT). Det finns en bondmarknad på lördag morgon i Orleans (en kort promenad från huset), och vanliga konstutställningar. Det finns veckovisa sommarkonserter på Nauset Beach Gazebo och för barnen finns mini- golf i närheten. För sportfansare spelar Orleans FireBirds, ett Summer Cape League Baseball Team, vanliga spel cirka en mil bort på Route 28. Rock Harbor erbjuder djuphavsfiske äventyr och det finns surf fiske på Nauset Beach. Valskådning är en populär aktivitet i Provincetown. Och till sist är kappan ett fågelskådare paradis!

The house and gardens are lovingly and beautifully maintained and so comfortable. There is great lighting for reading and lots of great books. And, while it was so quiet and peaceful, we loved the proximity to town, the harbor and beach and the bike trail.

Wonderful Stay!

Our party of three adults had a lovely time. The house can be a bit warm in the late summer but the fans make it much better. The house was clean and had everything we needed! Great location for walking to town.

Location, gardens, lovely house

We stayed a wonderful 10 days here. The house is charming and comfortable, the gardens are as beautiful as the picture. Location is excellent--near Orleans center, convenient to Nauset Beach and the Bay, close to bike path. We highly recommend.

Perfect Cape retreat

This property is quintessential Cape Cod! It is so tastefully designed and decorated. It sits back in its own garden oasis - removed from the road and beautifully landscaped. The house is perfect for a family visiting the Cape. It’s ideally located close to town and close to Skaket Beach / Rock Harbor. The owners are wonderful and very friendly.

2024 Vacation to Cape

The house was beautiful and was exactly as advertised. It was a hot week, but the fans provided by the owner made all the difference. We enjoyed the privacy offered by the house, being tucked back away from the road and with the woods in the backyard. The recent renovations were exceptional.

Lovely home and trip

Nicki is very communicative. EV charging within walking distance (across from Sparrow cafe). Bike trail and bike rentals nearby as well. Bike trail (kid friendly) is amazing.

Great location, great house!

Second time back to this property. We love the cleanliness and location. Close to the Chocolate Sparrow and bike trail. We were there during the heat wave and wished the house had AC, but they provided lots of fans that we used. I highly recommend this property!

Beautiful garden retreat walking distance to town!

The house is gorgeous! From the comfortable beds to tasteful decor, it is a 5 star experience. Nicki was a pleasure to work with! Did I mention we had baby bunnies, birds galore to entertain us? The garden is beautiful! We had a great week!

Perfect family getaway

This was our second stay at this lovely home. Beautiful and well-maintained gardens, and the interior had the perfect set up for our family and au pair. With the parents’ and kids’ bedrooms upstairs, and the third bedroom downstairs, it was the perfect amount of privacy for all. Also loved the screened-in porch and second floor deck! The house is in a great location, close to Rock Harbor, Skaket Beach, and downtown Orleans.

Amazing stay at Rock Harbor Retreat!

We had a fantastic getaway at Rock Harbor Retreat! The house was immaculate, clean and beautifully decorated, and the gardens and grounds were well manicured! The kitchen had everything you'd need...microwave, dishes, silverware, toaster, coffeemaker etc. The house is very close to downtown, with plenty of great restaurants and shops and the beach is just a short distance. We're definitely planning another visit! Thank you so much for a wonderful getaway!

The location is great, the property and garden are wonderful and the house has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. There are thoughtful touches throughout. As a chef I had exactly the precise tools to cook a nice meal.

Solid as a Rock

Terrific rental. Clean and well appointed. Excellent location -- an easy walk to the center of town and close to stores and restaurants. Quiet enclave. Superior communication with hosts. Really, everything anyone could ask for. Across the board, we had a great stay and would return happily.

We last stayed in this home five years ago, and wanted to return to it for our Cape vacation. Initially, we had planned for June, but our plans changed (due to COVID). The owner was very accomodating, and we were able to enjoy it later in the summer. We look forward to another summer vacation there.

Can't Wait to Return!

My family and I have been renting Cape summer vacation homes for decades. Each has had its various charms, but I can honestly say this is one of the very few houses I hope to return to. Everything about Rock Harbor Retreat was wonderful--from its beautiful architecture and quality furnishings, to its lovely deck, porch and gardens, to its terrifically convenient location. Communication with the owner was quite satisfying, the living room bookshelves yielded excellent reads, and our favorite Atlantic beaches were an easy drive away; what more could one ask for in a Cape vacation? A truly wonderful rental experience!

Wonderful stay in Orleans

The cottage is in a fantastic location close to downtown Orleans, the rail trail, Rock Harbor, Skaket Beach and many other things to do in the area. The cottage is a really beautiful and well kept up. It has everything you need in the kitchen and there was a fresh stock of paper goods to get us started. The deck and screened porch are added bonuses to the property. They also had a set of portable fans if you need them. There are beach chairs and the washer and dryer in the basement. All you need are some groceries and linens. It's a great vacation home and recommend it highly.

Cape Cod charm at its best

This is our third return trip to this beautiful home. My boys love going to Skaket Beach everyday that the weather permits. The house is convenient to Skaket, to Rock Harbor, and to town. The owner could not possibly be any more lovely or accommodating. We are so glad to have found this wonderful home away from home.

A beautiful home base for our vacation

Nikki was a gracious host who welcomed us to her home tucked within a beautiful garden. It provided ample space for relaxation and family gatherings. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinners in the evening, the table was perfect for family games, the cross breezes through the windows created a comfortable atmosphere, and we even laid on the upper deck and watched the Perseids one evening.

Spacious and beautiful home, close to town

We'd recommend this rental for the following reasons. 1. The location was great - you can walk to town and easily access the bike path. 2. The house is very private and quiet, and almost feels like a tree house in the forest. 3. The inside of the house is very comfortable - plenty of space for our family of five. 4. The owner was very pleasant and quick to respond to any questions we had.

We love the Cape and vacationed here with our family for many years before buying our home in Orleans. We love so many things the Cape offers: the beautiful beaches for swimming, relaxing on the sand and great walks along the shore, the delicious seafood available and so many more things. It's a fun place to explore and we learn something new each time we come down.

We looked at many properties before settling on Rock Harbor Retreat. My husband and I walked in the front door, looked around and said, "This is the one!" The house felt like a vacation home and conveyed a sense of relaxation. It felt like a place we could relax, have fun with our family and friends and enjoy for many years.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Through the years we have enjoyed the location, being so close to town, but yet in a private setting. It is also very convenient to have so many services available nearby. We find just about everything we need right here in Orleans. The milder Cape weather and longer growing season than iwhere we live in Concord, New Hampshire allows us to enjoy a much longer gardening season.
