Parrot Nest är en av de gamla Sanibel-stugorna som ligger på öns tysta öst. Sedan 1955 har våra charmiga stugor välkomnat besökare och fram till början av 1960-talet fördes de till våra kustar från fastlandet med färjebåt.
Våra stugor är nyrenoverade i en kustinredning som erbjuder dig episk komfort, avkoppling i ett vackert rum. Vi ligger inom gångavstånd till den historiska Sanibel-fyren och fiskebrygga, vackra beskyddande stränder, shopping och restauranger.

Made a good choice!

Our cottage was bright and pretty! Perfect spot! We felt right at home. Very private and quiet! There’s bikes to ride, beach stuff, buckets for shelling! Great time to visit! We’ll be back!

Nice location

The property was a studio style space tucked away in an area close to the lighthouse beach end of the island. I enjoyed the space and especially having a bike. For the first few days I smelled an unpleasant water smell coming from the bathroom but the more I used the kitchen sink it seemed to dissipate. I could have used a bit more towels as they were not stored on site and kitchen tools as I planned on prepping about half the meals. Overall it was very quiet. It reminded me of an upscale campground. I could only hear my neighbors when they used the bathroom but I started shutting my interior bathroom door Incase they were up before me. The island is still very much in a build back state. Was sorry to see that most businesses are missing but hopefully over time there will be more to the area to explore. I didn’t have a need to communicate with the property manager while visiting but the notifications prior to the trip were very helpful.

This property was decorated so adorable, having everything you would need for a great stay & the balcony off your room with a view of the beach was our favorite part! Not only was is close to the beach but it was close to restaurants and shopping centers as well!!

I liked how everything is pretty closed by where I could ride my bike. Great eating places nearby. Everything is so pretty and clean and I loved it. Definitely would be coming back again next summer

Property was clean, main studio area was great! Loved that you were texted if the property was available for check-prior to 4:00 pm check-in time. Excellent location with walking distance to some restaurants and the beach. The bathroom could use some updating and improvements. There was very little room to store your personal care products and the shelf provided in unit #1 was slanted so the makeup bag and items always slid off the shelf.

Excellent Location but a Tired Property

We stayed at the Rosella Cottage for 3 nights. We really wanted to love everything about it, and hoped we had found a place that we would like to return. We typically like well-maintained properties with a little vintage charm. Unfortunately, this property was not that. We did like the quiet residential location within walking distance to a few restaurants, the beach and the Sanibel Lighthouse and park. Once we parked our car, we did not use it until we left. We also appreciated that the property managers were very responsive when we notified them that the cooktop was not working, a portable replacement arrived within minutes. However, the property is tired and needs attention. The door lock was very difficult to open and clearly needed a shot of oil. If it was difficult for us, it was difficult for the staff, and we wondered why something so obvious wasn't addressed. We felt that the bedding was updated and clean, which is a must. However, the kitchenette and bathroom may have been dated to the point of not being 'cleanable.' The cottage slept up to three people, which must have been why there were 3, and no more than 3, cups, forks, spoons, etc. (Lame and kind of stingy feeling.) The shower did not drain well, so we would be standing in an inch or more of backed up drain water, pretty gross. There was a wicker mirror in the bathroom, and the top of it was covered in dust. There were no towel bars in the bathroom, only hooks on the back of the door. There was one little wall shelf in the bathroom, but the wall mounts were ill-fitted, so the shelf tilted enough to make it useless. There are beach wagons, chairs, and umbrellas provided. A great idea and would be a nice offering, however, we had to go through the chairs and umbrellas to find ones that weren't broken and too rusty. One would think replacing these when necessary would be a priority if the rental fee includes the use of them. We had to wipe off the outside chairs to sit on them, and the paper towels were not only filthy, but had the color of the chairs on them. I was glad that we didn't get that on our clothes. This property could be a real gem. The rental managers were professional, but can only do so much. If the owners or investors aren't willing to re-invest some of the rent money into maintenance and upkeep, it feels disrespectful to people who chose to give them a chance.

Great location & plentiful amenities

As outdoor enthusiasts, we thoroughly enjoyed riding two of the many bicycles available to use. all ends of the island. Beach chairs, umbrellas & shelling tools came in handy also. Clean, comfortable & convenient location. Loved the Lighthouse Cafe next door. We’ll be back.

The space was as pictured and described. My spouse and I enjoyed riding the bikes, walking to the beach for the sunset, and perfect location to the wedding we were attending as well as other attractions. Can’t wait to go back

Quick Sanibel trip

Property was quaint and not bad for a quick overnight stay. Directions to beach and location of room werent crystal. It is on the beach but not close. Bed was extremely comfortable. Lighting in room was dim needs more and bigger lamps. TV was small for such a big room. Make sure you are good with location before booking. Bikes were great fun and nice to be located on property.

Nice Stay

Property was secluded and serene. Free loaner bikes were great for getting anywhere/everywhere on the dedicated trails and to avoid the heavy traffic. The beach access and free beach gear were wonderful. A very nice stay.

Nice place, close to beach, amenities provided for beach abd that very helpful! Do not choose if you want to cook a full meal, otherwise great. Clean, nice peaceful surroundings, very near lighthouse cafe! Happy to stay again!

Quaint and relaxing stay in Sanibel Island

Loved this place! Very low key and lots of private space with your own patio. Short walk to the beach. The bakery and ice cream shop nearby was so nice to have, great treats and breakfast. I would definitely stay here again. Great value for your money staying on sanibel island. My only disappointment is that the fire pit appears to only be for decoration and not for actual use which is pointless. Would be nice to have an actual fire pit area to lounge and relax by the campfire.

Quiet small place

Felt like we had the place to ourselves! Wish I could hit rewind and then pause as we came home to the effects of the virus. Easy on/ off the island being on this end. The bed was a little too firm for us would be the only thing we would mention.

Tranquility! Cottage - 5 minute bike ride from the beach.

Property was exactly as the photos depicted. Extremely comfortable mattress, quality bedding. Private little retreat with your own private patio area. Decor was beautiful and relaxing. Check in was a breeze. Bikes, beach chairs, beach carts, and beach umbrellas are there for use. Cable tv. It was relaxing to sit in the various areas around the property and look and listen to the birds. We saw an osprey nesting, also fun to watch the little lizards running around. The ice cream shop was right beside the property. Their ice cream and baked goods were delicious. There were also two nice gift shops and a small restaurant. The 5 minute bike ride to Sanibel Lighthouse and Beach was on a paved, safe path and easy to navigate. Parking at the beach is very limited and pay by the hour. The beach is beautiful and the shelling is fantastic! The earlier in the day the better. We also took a morning to go to Turner Beach, a short drive to Captiva Island. Island Pizza was very good and reasonably priced. We only stayed one night on the island, but could have stayed forever!
